The short answer
Bitget says DELLUSDT stock perpetual positions will have a cash-dividend adjustment starting on October 20, 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8, using an announced amount of $0.63 per underlying share. Longs receive the adjustment, shorts pay it, and opposite positions under the same UID are netted at the settlement snapshot. This is an account adjustment for a futures position; the announcement does not establish ownership of Dell shares.
The practical question is whether a position will still be open at that snapshot, and how a debit would change available margin. Bitget says processing begins gradually, so the scheduled start is not a promise that every account history entry appears at the same second. The amount remains subject to the official information on the actual ex-dividend date.

What the new announcement changes
The DELLUSDT notice, checked on October 17, gives holders a specific upcoming adjustment to plan around. It is separate from the older ACNSTOCKUSDT event covered in our ACN dividend article. Importing that article's dollar amount or date into a Dell position would produce the wrong calculation.

| Item | DELLUSDT notice | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Contract | DELLUSDT stock perpetual | Exact symbol in the position screen |
| Announced dividend | $0.63 per share | Any subsequent official revision |
| Ex-dividend date label | October 20, 2026, ET | Keep the source's date convention |
| Settlement begins | October 20, 08:00 UTC+8 | Position status at the snapshot |
| Long exposure | Receives adjustment | Actual credited record after processing |
| Short exposure | Pays adjustment | Margin available before the debit |
| Same UID | Long and short exposure netted | Net units, rather than gross trades |
The notice supplies both an ET ex-dividend date and a UTC+8 settlement timestamp. They describe different things. Do not assume that an American market date and a local calendar date are interchangeable, or substitute a broker's share-dividend payment date for the contract settlement time.
Convert the clock before reviewing orders
October 20 at 08:00 UTC+8 equals October 20 at 00:00 UTC. For a reader using Moscow time, that is 03:00 on October 20. These are conversions of Bitget's stated timestamp, not additional exchange deadlines. A phone displaying another time zone should be checked against the explicit UTC offset before an order is scheduled.
Bitget says that users who do not want this adjustment should close the relevant positions before its announced start. An unfilled close order is still an order. The useful evidence is the resulting position balance and execution record, rather than the fact that a button was pressed or an order was placed. A partial fill can leave residual exposure, which makes a second position check worthwhile.
There is no new claim button in the DELL notice. Bitget's general dividend-funding guide describes automatic receipt for longs. A private message asking for a wallet connection or a transfer to activate this adjustment is not part of the published process. Check the announcement through the official exchange entry, with the Bitget profile as a reference for the venue and the stock-product hub for product distinctions.
Estimate units, then reconcile the actual record

Ouvrir →Bitget's general RWA stock-perpetual guide states a multiplier of one: one futures unit corresponds economically to one underlying share for the cash-dividend calculation. It describes settlement in USDT. On the currently announced Dell amount, the illustrative calculation is net units multiplied by 0.63.
A net long position of 100 units would imply a 63 USDT credit under that rule. A net short position of 40 units would imply a 25.2 USDT debit. These are arithmetic illustrations using the announced amount and the guide's multiplier. They are not observations of a customer's balance, a prediction of the contract price, or a guaranteed final amount if the exchange revises the dividend information.
For netting, imagine the same UID has 100 long units and 40 short units. Its net exposure is 60 long units, implying 37.8 USDT on the same assumptions. It would be misleading to quote the credit on the gross long side while omitting the short side. Equally, there is no support here for extending one UID's netting rule across separate accounts, separate users, or another exchange.
Keep a record of the symbol, units, direction and timestamp before settlement, then compare it with the actual ledger entry. An account's displayed collateral balance alone may mix several changes. Reconciliation works better when each entry has its own reason and amount.
Why the short-side debit matters to margin
The exchange explicitly warns that the cash-dividend deduction can leave short positions with insufficient margin and can contribute to forced liquidation. That is the immediate retail consequence of this announcement. A short is not exempt merely because its trader expects a downward share-price adjustment around the ex-date.
The guide explains the economic purpose: a stock's price often adjusts around its dividend, and the special transfer is designed to reflect that cash effect between long and short exposures. It does not promise the observed perpetual price will fall by exactly 0.63 at a particular second. Trading conditions and the account's other positions still matter; the dividend entry alone does not describe total profit or loss.
Before the snapshot, review available margin and the remaining net short size together. If the position no longer fits the intended exposure, the notice's relevant alternatives are to reduce or close it before the cutoff, or ensure sufficient margin for the deduction. The announcement does not give a universal safe margin figure, a DELLUSDT leverage limit, or a personal liquidation price. Those should not be copied from a different stock contract.
Find the dividend entry without confusing ordinary funding
The general guide says completed adjustments can be found with the Cash dividend filter in transaction history, separately from regular funding. The DELL-specific notice describes the entry as a funding-fee adjustment recorded when processing completes. These descriptions are compatible: the transfer uses the funding mechanism, while its transaction-history category identifies the dividend event.
After settlement, first confirm that processing has actually completed for the relevant account. Then compare the ledger's date, contract and amount with the net position calculation. A missing entry at the exact start time is not by itself proof of an error, because processing is gradual. A later discrepancy should be taken to official support with the position and transaction records, without sharing passwords or security codes.
The notice says ordinary contract trading remains available during settlement. It does not state that every pending order fills, that every account qualifies to trade the product, or that price and execution conditions remain unchanged. Product access must be checked separately from the rule that applies to an existing position.
Questions holders are likely to ask
Can I close immediately before settlement and still receive the adjustment?
Eligibility is based on the position snapshot, not on how long the contract was held earlier. Bitget excludes users with no open position at settlement. The practical check is whether the position really closed, including residual units from partially filled orders.
Is $0.63 the amount I receive for every dollar of margin?
No. The notice quotes a per-share amount, and the general guide uses the number of futures units with a multiplier of one. Margin deposited is not the unit count in that formula. Using collateral dollars as if they were shares would misstate the adjustment.
Does the adjustment make a stock perpetual equivalent to owning shares?
The cited process concerns a derivative account entry. It does not provide voting rights, share custody documentation or a transfer of Dell stock. Use the tokenized-stock overview to distinguish instruments before comparing products with similar company names.
Will this settle a stock split or another corporate action too?
The general guide limits this mechanism to cash dividends and says splits, reverse splits and stock dividends use separate arrangements. This DELL notice should not be used to infer rules for those events.
What should I keep after the event?
Keep the official notice version, position snapshot, filled-order records and completed Cash dividend transaction. Our Bitget reference page and the earlier ACN example help locate the product context, but the DELL-specific notice governs this event. No private account, settlement or support outcome was tested for this article.
