    Trade any Kraken futures market. At 50,000 USD of volume you are in the pool; keep trading to climb the leaderboard.

All participants trade toward 8 tiers. When community volume passes a threshold, the whole pool and every prize jump to the next tier.

Worked example

You register, then trade 60,000 USD in futures. You are past the 50,000 USD minimum, so you are paid from the pool. What counts toward your rank depends on the market:

Who can join

Individual Kraken clients aged 18+ with access to Kraken Futures. Not open to residents of the US, the UK, the EEA, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Brazil or Argentina, or where Kraken Futures is unavailable.

What is the Kraken 5M USDG Futures Challenge?

A Kraken futures trading competition from 12 Oct 2026, 21:30 SGT to 11 Dec 2026, 07:59:59 SGT. Traders are ranked by weighted futures volume, and the prize pool grows in 8 tiers from 25,000 USDG to 5,000,000 USDG as community volume rises.

Does everyone who qualifies get something?

Yes. Reach 50,000 USD of futures volume after you register and you are ranked. Ranks 1 to 50 win fixed prizes; everyone ranked 51 or lower shares the tail pool equally: 10,125 USDG at tier 1, up to 2,025,000 USDG at tier 8.

How much can the top traders win?

At tier 1, #1 wins 3,750 USDG, #2 2,000 and #3 1,500. If the community unlocks tier 8 (18.5 billion USD weighted volume), #1 wins 750,000 USDG, #2 400,000 and #3 300,000.

Do I need to register?

Yes. Press Join the Challenge on Kraken's challenge page before you trade. Volume from before you register does not count, including positions you opened before.

How do the 2x and 3x multipliers work?

Your rank uses weighted volume: the gold perpetual counts 3x, real-world-asset perpetuals such as xStocks, forex, oil and US100 count 2x, and crypto futures 1x. The 50,000 USD minimum uses the amount you actually trade.

When are rewards paid?

After the challenge ends, Kraken confirms the final ranking and tells winners within 14 days. Rewards are paid in USDG to your Kraken spot account. Prizes of 10,000 USD or more need Intermediate verification before the end.

Can I join from my country?

Kraken Futures must be available to you. The challenge is not open to residents of the US, the UK, the EEA, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Brazil or Argentina; Kraken checks eligibility when you log in.
