What is Monad?
Monad (MON) is the native coin of Monad, an Ethereum-compatible layer-1 blockchain that launched its mainnet in November 2025. It aims for high throughput by executing transactions in parallel and using its own MonadBFT consensus, while still running standard Ethereum smart contracts. MON is used to pay gas fees and is staked by validators and delegators to secure the network.
