What is USDtb?

USDtb is a dollar stablecoin issued by Ethena, the team behind USDe, launched in late 2024. Unlike USDe, it is backed mainly by holdings in BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized US Treasury fund plus cash-like reserves, rather than by hedged crypto positions. It is used as a stable settlement asset and as part of the reserves supporting Ethena's other products.
