Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin issued by the company Tether since 2014 and designed to hold a value of one US dollar. The company says each token is backed by reserves held mostly in short-term US Treasury bills and cash equivalents. USDT is widely used for trading, payments and moving dollars between platforms, and it exists on many networks, including Ethereum, TRON and Solana.
