What is Celestia?
Celestia is a modular blockchain that specializes in data availability: it stores and publishes transaction data so that rollups and other chains do not have to run their own full consensus layer. TIA pays for posting data ("blobs") to the network, is staked to secure its proof-of-stake validators, and is used in governance. The mainnet launched in October 2023 and is built with the Cosmos SDK.
