ZRO is the token of LayerZero, an interoperability protocol that lets applications send messages and tokens between different blockchains. Rather than being a standalone chain, LayerZero runs endpoint contracts on many networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and BNB Smart Chain. ZRO was released in 2024 and is used for governance of the protocol.
