Direct answer

OKX announced that OKX DEX would adjust the interface fee rate for stock tokens on X Layer at 15:00 on September 7, 2026 (UTC+8). After the adjustment, stock token trades on X Layer are subject to the standard Group 2 interface fee rate. OKX's DEX fee page also states that all tokenized stocks across all blockchain networks supported by OKX DEX are classified as Group2 tokens and are subject to the standard Group 2 interface fee rate.

The important boundary is fee type. This is an OKX DEX interface fee classification update. It is not a statement about the exchange-traded price of tokenized stocks, not a gas-fee guarantee, not a slippage promise, and not a change to every third-party protocol fee. OKX's Web3 DEX Interface User Agreement describes the DEX Interface as software that connects users to open-source smart contracts, DEXs and DEX aggregators. It also separates gas fees, third-party protocol fees and service fees.

Interface fee is not gas, protocol fee or slippage

OKX's DEX fee page says OKX DEX charges users a flat user interface fee for using the OKX DEX interface to access and conduct transactions on third-party DEXs. The fee table then classifies pairs by token groups. It lists Others <> Others at 0%, Group 1 <> Group 1 at 0.1%, Group 1/Group 2 and Group 2/Group 2 combinations under the standard Group 2 area, and Group/Others combinations at 0.5%. The page adds that token groups are updated regularly.

That fee table does not eliminate other costs. The OKX Web3 DEX Interface User Agreement says a proposed route can include digital asset prices, the transaction path, gas fees, service fees, fees to third parties, routers and wallet addresses to pay gas fees and service fees. The same agreement says gas fees generated on third-party blockchains are borne by the user, that third-party protocol fees may arise, and that OKX may charge service fees for providing the DEX Interface.

Slippage is also separate. The agreement says the DEX Interface algorithmically generates proposed routes based on estimated output amount, gas costs, price impact, liquidity depth and the user's slippage tolerance. A standard Group 2 interface fee rate therefore answers one question: how OKX classifies these tokenized stock trades for its interface fee. It does not answer whether a particular route has good execution, low gas, deep liquidity or acceptable slippage.

OKX Wallet boundary

The update includes a clear product-boundary disclaimer. OKX says OKX Web3 Wallet is a self-custody wallet software service that lets users discover and interact with third-party platforms, and that not all products are offered in all regions. It also says OKX Web3 Wallet and ancillary services are not offered by OKX Exchange and are subject to OKX Web3 Ecosystem Terms of Service.

That distinction matters for tokenized-stock content. A reader should not treat this DEX interface fee notice as an OKX Exchange brokerage-style product notice. The user agreement describes the DEX Interface as a route-discovery and transaction-initiation interface connecting to third-party DEXs, DEX aggregators, routers and solvers. OKX says users initiate and control transactions through their own digital wallet software, and OKX does not take custody of assets or guarantee execution of digital asset transactions.

User checklist

1. Before trading a tokenized stock through OKX DEX, check whether the token is classified as Group 2 on the current OKX DEX fee page. 2. Read the route preview as a cost stack: interface fee, gas, third-party protocol fees, price impact and slippage tolerance are not the same item. 3. Check the network. The announcement specifically calls out X Layer and says all supported networks follow Group 2, but it does not promise that every network or product is available to every user. 4. Do not treat a fee classification as a suitability signal. Tokenized stocks can involve issuer, legal-rights, custody, liquidity and regional-access questions that this update does not resolve. 5. If translated versions of OKX materials differ, use the official English page as the control text where OKX says English controls.

Limitations and unknowns

This article uses only OKX first-party pages. NexuAlpha did not verify current live routes, quoted output, gas, third-party protocol fees, liquidity depth, price impact, slippage, issuer terms, legal rights attached to any tokenized stock, or regional availability. NexuAlpha also did not verify whether any specific user's wallet, jurisdiction or account interface can access a given route.

FAQ

Does Group 2 mean every tokenized stock trade has the same all-in cost?

No. Group 2 refers to the OKX DEX interface fee classification. Gas, third-party protocol fees, price impact and slippage are separate route costs or execution variables.

Did OKX say tokenized stocks are available in every region?

No. The announcement includes a regional availability caveat. Users must check current product availability and local restrictions before trading.

Is OKX Wallet the same service as OKX Exchange?

No. OKX states that OKX Web3 Wallet and ancillary services are not offered by OKX Exchange. The DEX Interface is described as a self-custody route interface for third-party DEX access.

Is this a recommendation to trade tokenized stocks?

No. This is an operational fee-classification update. It contains no price view, no return promise, no suitability assessment and no trading recommendation.
