What is BitTorrent?
BitTorrent (BTT) is the token connected to the BitTorrent file-sharing software, created after TRON founder Justin Sun's company acquired BitTorrent Inc. in 2018. BTT is used to reward users who seed files faster, to pay for decentralized storage on BTFS, and as the gas token of the BitTorrent Chain. The token was redenominated in 2021 at a rate of 1 old BTT to 1,000 new BTT.
