The short answer

RWUSD is Binance's in-house yield product: you subscribe with a stablecoin at 1:1, Binance pays a variable daily APR funded by its own income and tokenized US Treasury bills, and you redeem back to USDC. Since 16:00 SGT (08:00 UTC) on 13 October 2026 it also trades on Binance Spot as RWUSD/USDT with zero maker and taker fees until further notice. Selling there gets you out instantly at the order-book price instead of waiting up to three business days for a 0.05% Standard Redemption. RWUSD still cannot be deposited or withdrawn, and Binance says it is not a stablecoin.

What Binance announced today

Binance's listing notice, published at 11:30 SGT, sets out four changes that took effect at 16:00 SGT:

Tabella dell’articolo: scorri in orizzontale oppure porta il focus sull’area della tabella e usa i tasti freccia.

ChangeDetail from the announcement
Spot pairRWUSD/USDT opens for trading; listing fee 0 BNB
FeesZero maker and zero taker fees on RWUSD/USDT spot and margin, from launch "until further notice"
MarginRWUSD accepted as Cross Margin collateral; borrowing RWUSD is not available
ConvertRWUSD tradable against BTC, USDT and other tokens on Convert at zero fees within one hour of the spot listing

The fine print matters for active traders. Volume on the pair is excluded from VIP tier calculations and liquidity provider programs during the promotion, and BNB discounts and referral rebates do not apply to it. RWUSD's collateral price for margin, VIP loans and futures uses a price index rather than the last spot trade. Deposits and withdrawals of RWUSD remain switched off.

What RWUSD actually is

Binance's own RWUSD FAQ is careful with its wording, and it is worth reading literally:

  • It is "a yield product with flexible-term subscriptions and daily APR rewards", representing your subscribed assets plus accrued rewards.
  • Rewards come from Binance's ecosystem income and "can be supported by" tokenized US Treasury products managed by BlackRock, Circle and Franklin Templeton.
  • RWUSD "is not a stablecoin or a claim on any real-world assets". Holding it does not give you ownership of the Treasury tokens behind it.
  • The APR is variable, updated daily and set at Binance's discretion.
  • It is not available to US persons. Global users subscribe with USDT or U (United Stables); eligible EEA users subscribe with USDC.
  • On redemption it always converts to USDC, whatever you subscribed with.

Rewards start accruing the day after you subscribe and are paid in RWUSD to your Spot Account each day by 10:00 UTC. Binance takes several random snapshots of your RWUSD balance across Spot, Futures and Funding accounts and pays on the lowest one, so moving RWUSD in and out during the day can cut your reward.

Selling on spot vs redeeming: the numbers

Before today there were two ways out. Now there are three. Here is what each costs on a 10,000 RWUSD position, using the redemption fees in Binance's FAQ and the RWUSD/USDT order book at 18:56 SGT:

Exit routeFeeYou receiveArrivesLimits
Standard Redemption0.05%9,995 USDCby 10:00 UTC on T+31,500,000 RWUSD daily personal quota
Fast Redemption0.1% (minus any free quota)9,990 USDCinstantly1,000 RWUSD daily personal quota
Sell on RWUSD/USDT spot0% trading fee9,999 USDT at the 0.9999 bidinstantlyorder-book depth

At 18:56 SGT the best bid was 0.9999 with about 1.01 million RWUSD waiting behind it, and the next level at 0.9998 held about 152,000. That means a seller could have moved up to roughly one million RWUSD for a 0.01% price discount, instead of paying 0.05% and waiting three business days. The ask side was thinner: about 30,700 RWUSD at 1.0000 and 66,800 at 1.0001.

Two things change with the route. You get USDT from the spot sale and USDC from redemption, so pick the one that matches what you need next. And Fast Redemption's personal quota of 1,000 RWUSD per day makes it impractical for larger amounts, which is exactly where the spot pair helps.

In its first three hours the pair traded about 1.90 million RWUSD across 1,248 trades, with prices between 0.9995 and 1.0010. That range is narrow, but it is not a guaranteed peg: the price is set by the order book, and Binance's FAQ lists counterparty and liquidity risk, including delayed or suspended redemptions in extreme conditions.

One contradiction to note

Binance's RWUSD FAQ still says RWUSD "is not tradable in the Spot market" and should be redeemed from the product page. Today's listing notice supersedes that line; the FAQ simply has not been updated. The FAQ's other limits still apply: RWUSD cannot be withdrawn to any wallet, is not an on-chain asset, and cannot be transferred to another Binance user. Binance also warns that arbitrage or other misuse involving RWUSD breaks its terms, and that it may cut off subscriptions or the free Fast Redemption quota for accounts it flags.

Who should care

  • Holders who need cash fast. If you hold more than 1,000 RWUSD and need it today, selling on the pair is now the cheapest instant exit.
  • Margin traders. RWUSD now counts as Cross Margin collateral, so idle stablecoin balances can earn the RWUSD rate while backing positions; the collateral value uses Binance's price index.
  • Anyone comparing yield products. Binance positions RWUSD next to BFUSD (funding-fee income) and LDUSDT (Simple Earn lending). Our earlier look at Binance's 30% new-user USDT Earn offer shows how to read a headline APR against the cap behind it.

How to act on this

If you already hold RWUSD, the practical move is to check the RWUSD/USDT bid before you redeem: on most days it should save the 0.05% fee and three days of waiting, as long as you are fine receiving USDT. If you do not have a Binance account yet, our Binance exchange profile lists its current spot and futures fees; signing up with code 11350287 returns 25% of your Binance trading fees on regular pairs (the zero-fee RWUSD pair earns no rebate while the promotion runs, because there is no fee to share). For other live exchange offers, see current activities.

What we could not verify

The current RWUSD APR is shown only on Binance's logged-in product page, so we do not quote a number here. Binance has not said when the zero-fee promotion will end.
