The short answer
Bitget will settle a cash dividend of $1.71 per share on its ACNSTOCKUSDT stock perpetual, starting 13 October 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8 (00:00 UTC). Long positions open at that moment are credited the dividend as a funding fee, and short positions are charged the same amount as a funding fee, based on a position snapshot. If you hold a short, especially at high leverage, top up margin or close before the snapshot, because the deduction can push the position toward liquidation.

Time-zone check, by our arithmetic: 08:00 in UTC+8 on 13 October is 00:00 UTC, which is 20:00 U.S. Eastern on 12 October. The snapshot therefore lands before the U.S. market opens on the ex-dividend date. Bitget says the amount follows the official data published on the ex-dividend date and that any change will be announced separately.
Why a perpetual that pays no dividends still settles one
Bitget's own risk warning for stock perps says the product is not a security, gives no ownership of the underlying shares, and carries no right to dividends, votes or other corporate actions. That sounds like a contradiction with this notice, but it is not. The settlement is not a dividend paid to you by Accenture. It is a cash adjustment between the two sides of the contract, moved through the funding mechanism, so that holders of the perpetual are treated roughly the way holders and short sellers of the actual stock would be around the ex-dividend date.
In the cash equity market, a share that goes ex-dividend normally opens lower by about the dividend, because new buyers no longer receive the payment. A perpetual that tracks the share price would hand longs that drop without compensation and hand shorts a windfall. Crediting longs and debiting shorts by the same per-share amount offsets the drop. Short sellers of real stock face the same cost: whoever borrows shares to sell owes the dividend to the lender.
What it means for your position, in numbers
Bitget states that the amount depends on position size. The worked figures below are our arithmetic and assume the position is measured in shares of ACN; check the contract specification in the app before relying on them.

| Position at snapshot | Dividend effect |
|---|---|
| Long 10 shares | +17.10 USD credited |
| Short 10 shares | −17.10 USD charged |
| Long 50 shares | +85.50 USD credited |
| Short 50 shares | −85.50 USD charged |
| Long 30 and short 10 on the same UID | Netted to long 20: +34.20 USD |
The charge is fixed per share, so its weight depends on leverage. Initial margin at 20x is 5% of notional. A dividend equal to 1% of the share price would therefore consume about a fifth of a 20x short's initial margin at once; at 5x, where initial margin is 20% of notional, the same dividend would take about a twentieth. That is why Bitget's notice singles out high-leverage shorts and warns that the deduction may cause insufficient margin and forced liquidation.
Stock perp basics on Bitget
Bitget's recent stock-perp listings (for example CEG, SBUX, LEN and HD on 9 October 2026) describe the product the same way: USDT-settled, maximum leverage 20x for those pairs, trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with regular funding settled once every eight hours. Bitget reserves the right to change leverage and margin parameters. The dividend adjustment is a separate, one-off funding entry on top of the regular eight-hour funding, which keeps tracking the gap between the perpetual and its index.
Bitget's regular-user fee for USDT-margined futures is 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. The dividend is not a trading fee, and closing a position to avoid it costs a normal taker or maker fee.
Your three choices before the snapshot
1. Hold a long. You receive about $1.71 per share as a funding credit. Expect the perpetual's price to reflect the stock's ex-dividend move, so the credit offsets rather than adds profit. 2. Hold a short. Make sure free margin covers the charge with room to spare. Bitget recommends checking and topping up margin before 13 October 08:00 UTC+8. 3. Close before the snapshot. Bitget says users who do not want to take part should close before the settlement time. Closing has its own cost, the trading fee plus any spread, and reopening afterwards exposes you to price moves in between.
How dividends differ on tokenized stocks
Stock perpetuals and tokenized stocks handle dividends differently. OKX's Unified Tokenized Stocks, listed for spot trading on 9 October 2026, reinvest dividends at the issuer level and pass them on as a small increase in the share balance, net of withholding tax, with no pause in trading. A perpetual has no share balance to increase, so it uses the funding transfer described above. Our explainer on tokenized stocks vs stock perpetuals covers what each product gives you.
How to act on this
If you trade stock perps around dividends, the funding entries and trading fees are the costs you can plan for. On Bitget, registering with NexuAlpha's partner code nexu888 returns 60% of trading fees, settled daily, which our arithmetic puts at an effective 0.024% taker on futures. The Bitget profile lists current terms, /rates compares venues, and /activities tracks live exchange campaigns. Partner links may earn NexuAlpha a commission paid by the exchange, at no extra cost to you.

What we could not verify
Bitget's notice does not state the ACNSTOCKUSDT contract size, its maximum leverage or its current funding rate, and we did not find a separate ACN listing announcement. The 20x and eight-hour figures come from other Bitget stock-perp listings and may differ for this pair. Bitget also says the dividend amount may be adjusted. This article explains the rules as published on 10 October 2026; it is not trading advice.
