The short answer

OKX Unified Tokenized Stocks are spot assets, named with an "X" before the stock ticker, that give you price exposure to a U.S. stock or ETF in units of shares, traded 24/7 against USDT. They are built on Payward's xStocks framework, can be withdrawn as xStocks on Solana or X Layer, and pass dividends to you as a small increase in your share balance. They do not make you a shareholder, carry no voting rights, and cannot be offered to U.S. persons. OKX listed the first batch on 9 October 2026, with a second batch scheduled for 12 October.

What the product is

OKX describes Unified Tokenized Stocks as a tokenized-stock trading asset that tracks an underlying stock or ETF share for share. Each asset is named with an uppercase "X" prefixed to the ticker, such as XAAPL or XTSLA; the listing notice itself writes the new pairs as xBRKB/USDT, xWEN/USDT and so on. The "unified" part matters: where several providers issue tokenized versions of the same stock, OKX may consolidate them into one on-exchange asset that trades on a single order book under one set of corporate-action rules. That should concentrate liquidity instead of splitting it across look-alike tokens.

The product is powered by xStocks, which OKX calls Payward's tokenized equity framework. OKX supports deposits and withdrawals of xStocks on two networks, Solana and X Layer.

What you actually own

This is the question most buyers skip. OKX's announcement states that Unified Tokenized Stocks:

  • do not represent ownership of the underlying company;
  • do not confer shareholder rights such as voting;
  • are not tokens issued by OKX;
  • are an arrangement that gives you price exposure to the underlying stock plus the right to withdraw xStocks if you choose.

Once you withdraw, the product terms in the tokenized-stock provider's own documentation govern. In practice you hold an exchange balance that tracks a share price, with an exit route into an on-chain token, not a brokerage position in your name. Our framework on custodial vs synthetic tokenized stocks explains how to judge that difference.

Hours, pricing and price limits

Trading runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends. Outside U.S. market hours, OKX prices the assets from the last close plus a market estimate. That lets you react to weekend news, but it also means the weekend price is an estimate that can gap when the real market reopens on Monday.

OKX applies index-based price limits. During the pre-open session, bids may not exceed the index times (1 + J) and asks may not go below the index times (1 − J). For the first ten minutes of continuous trading the band is set by a parameter X. After that, the limits combine a parameter Y, the average premium of the last two minutes and a hard cap Z. OKX may change J, X, Y and Z or switch method without prior notice, and points traders to its live spot market rules.

Dividends

When the underlying company pays a dividend, the value is reinvested at the issuer level and passed to holders as a small increase in their share balance, net of applicable withholding tax. Trading is not paused for dividends. This differs from stock perpetuals, which have no share balance and instead settle dividends as a funding transfer from shorts to longs; see how Bitget is doing that for its ACN stock perp on 13 October.

Who can trade it

The assets have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold to U.S. persons as defined in Regulation S, or within the United States. OKX also says availability depends on region and should be checked in the app. OKX's description says no brokerage account, no USD conversion and no extra KYC are needed beyond your existing OKX account; you trade with USDT already in it. Grid and DCA bots are supported on all tokenized-stock pairs.

The listing schedule

Deposits for all listed assets opened at 02:45 UTC on 9 October 2026. Each pair runs a one-hour pre-open session before continuous trading, and withdrawals open two hours after trading starts.

Costs to check before buying

OKX's announcement does not list a separate fee for these pairs. OKX's standard spot fee for a regular account, re-read on 10 October 2026, is 0.08% maker and 0.10% taker. Whether that exact schedule applies to tokenized-stock pairs is something to confirm on the order screen. Beyond fees, the practical costs are the spread, which can widen outside U.S. hours when pricing rests on an estimate, the gap risk at Monday's open, and withdrawal network fees if you move xStocks on-chain.

Spot exposure suits holding through weekends and dividends without margin calls; perpetuals suit short-term leveraged or short positions and carry liquidation risk. Our tokenized stocks vs stock perpetuals guide goes deeper.

How to act on this

If you plan to buy tokenized stocks on OKX, the fee rebate is the one cost you can lower before the first trade. Registering through NexuAlpha's partner code nexu888 returns 40% of trading fees, settled hourly; if the standard 0.10% taker rate applies to these pairs, our arithmetic puts the effective rate at 0.06%. The OKX profile shows current terms, /rates compares venues, and /activities lists live campaigns. Partner links may earn NexuAlpha a commission paid by the exchange, at no extra cost to you.

Quick answers

Do OKX tokenized stocks give me real shares? No. They give price exposure and a right to withdraw xStocks, not ownership or voting rights.

Can I trade them on weekends? Yes, 24/7. Off-hours prices use the last close plus a market estimate.

How are dividends paid? As a small increase in your share balance, net of withholding tax.

Can U.S. residents buy them? No. They may not be offered or sold to U.S. persons or within the United States.

Which networks support deposits and withdrawals? Solana and X Layer.

Which pairs list on 12 October? xQNT, xAMC, xBB, xIONQ, xCGNX, xFLY, xFWDI and xINFQ, all against USDT.

What we could not verify

OKX does not publish the values of the price-limit parameters, a fee schedule specific to these pairs, the withholding-tax rate applied to dividends, or the full list of supported regions. Consolidation across issuers is described as something OKX "may" do, not a confirmed setup for each asset. This article reports the announcement of 9 October 2026; it is not investment advice.
