What is Uniswap?
UNI is the governance token of Uniswap, a decentralized exchange where people swap tokens directly from their wallets through automated liquidity pools rather than an order book. UNI holders vote on protocol changes and on how the community treasury is used. The token launched in 2020 with an airdrop to earlier users, and Uniswap has since added its own Ethereum layer-2 network, Unichain.
