What is Legacy Frax Dollar?

FRAX, now labeled Legacy Frax Dollar, is the original stablecoin of Frax Finance, launched in December 2020 and designed to track the US dollar. It began with a partly collateralized, partly algorithmic model and later moved to full collateral backing. Frax has since introduced frxUSD as its main dollar stablecoin, which is why this earlier token is marked as legacy.
