The short answer
To buy US stocks with USDC on Bybit, finish Level 2 KYC, make sure your account runs on the Unified Trading Account (UTA), accept the brokerage terms and file a W-8BEN in the Stocks section, convert USDC to USD with Bybit Convert (Bybit says USDC-to-USD conversion is fee-free), then open TradFi > Stocks, pick a ticker and place a market, limit or conditional order. Bybit opened this service on 12 October 2026 for eligible users in supported countries: more than 1,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs, fractional orders from $5, no trading commission, and real shares that are executed, cleared and held by Alpaca Securities rather than a token or a perpetual contract.

What you are actually buying
This is the first thing to get right, because Bybit now sells three different products with stock tickers on them. The new service, which Bybit calls Bybit Stocks, gives you an economic interest in the underlying shares. According to Bybit's launch release, orders go through Bybit's brokerage set-up and are executed by Alpaca, a US self-clearing broker-dealer, and the shares are held in custody by Alpaca. The legal fine print names the two firms: Infra Capital Limited is the introducing broker, regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (licence GB23202169), and Alpaca Securities LLC, a FINRA and SIPC member, handles clearing, settlement and custody.
That is different from Bybit's TradFi perpetuals, which are USDT-margined derivatives that track a share price and carry funding payments; Bybit listed five more of them on 12 October alone (YPF, Vista, Petrobras, Nu Holdings and MercadoLibre). It is also different from tokenized equities, which are tokens issued by a third party. Our explainer on the launch, Bybit now sells real US stocks and ETFs for USDC, walks through the custody chain in more detail, and the Bybit exchange profile lists the venue's other products and fees.

| TradFi perpetuals | A USDT-margined derivative contract | Yes | Yes | No shareholder income |
| Tokenized equities | A token issued by a third party | Depends on market | No | Depends on the issuer |
Step by step: from USDC to your first share
Step 1: Check that you are eligible. Bybit's own guide lists three conditions. Your identity verification must be at least KYC Level 2. Your country of residence must be on the supported list, because Bybit says the product "is not available in all jurisdictions" and access depends on where you live. And your account must use the Unified Trading Account; if it is still on the older Standard Account, upgrade it from Account Settings first. If the Stocks entry does not appear in your app after KYC Level 2 and the UTA upgrade, your region is most likely not supported yet.
Step 2: Complete the one-time setup. Open the Stocks section in the app or on the web. You will be asked to accept the brokerage terms, the risk disclosure and any country-specific disclosures. You must also submit tax documentation before your first trade: for non-US persons that is a W-8BEN form, which the US uses to apply dividend withholding at the right rate. You only do this once.
Step 3: Turn USDC into USD inside your UTA. This is the step most people miss. The launch release says you trade "using USDC", but Bybit's how-to guide is precise: Bybit Stocks settles in US dollars, and you need USD sitting in your Unified Trading Account to place an order. If you hold USDC, use Bybit Convert to swap it to USD; Bybit states that USDC-to-USD conversions carry zero fees. If you already hold USD in your Funding Account, move it to the UTA with Asset Transfer. If you only hold USDT, you will need to get to USDC or USD first, and that leg may carry a spread or fee.
Step 4: Place the order. Go to TradFi > Stocks, search the ticker (for example AAPL, NVDA, TSLA, MU or the QQQ ETF), choose the order type and enter the amount in USD. Fractional orders start at $5, and Bybit says there is no minimum account balance.
Step 5: Choose how long the order lives. The Time in Force setting decides when an unfilled order expires. A Day order is live for the regular session by default and is cancelled after the closing auction if not filled; if you mark it as eligible for extended hours it can also fill in the extended sessions. A GTC (good-till-cancelled) order stays open until filled or cancelled, but Alpaca's aged-order policy cancels GTC orders 90 days after creation. Bybit's own suggestion: if unsure, use Day.
Step 6: Track the position. The Stocks portfolio view shows your holdings (including fractional shares), average entry price, unrealized P&L and order history. Realized P&L appears after T+1 settlement, so a sale today shows its settled result the next business day.
Order types and trading sessions
Bybit offers market orders, limit orders, and conditional orders that trigger either a limit or a market order when a price is hit, which is how you set a take-profit or stop-loss. The catch is the session: market and conditional orders work only in regular hours.

| Session | New York time (ET) | Beijing / Singapore time until 1 Nov 2026 | Order types |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-market | about 4:00 to 9:30 | 16:00 to 21:30 | Limit only |
| Regular hours | 9:30 to 16:00 | 21:30 to 04:00 | Market, limit, conditional |
| Post-market | 16:00 to 20:00 | 04:00 to 08:00 | Limit only |
| Overnight | 20:00 to 4:00 | 08:00 to 16:00 | Limit only |
The Asian-time column is our conversion while the US is on daylight saving time; after US clocks change on 1 November 2026, add one hour. Markets are shut on weekends and US public holidays, and orders placed while closed wait for the next session. Liquidity is thinnest overnight and spreads are usually wider outside regular hours, which is why a limit order is the safer tool there.
What it costs
Bybit's launch terms are simple on paper: no trading commission on eligible stock purchases and sales, and a fee-free USDC-to-USD conversion. The costs that remain are the ones every broker has. The spread between the bid and the ask is wider before and after the main session. Dividends are paid net of US withholding tax, at a rate that depends on your W-8BEN and your country's tax treaty. And if you start from USDT or another coin rather than USDC, the swap into USDC is a separate trade.
There is also a small mismatch in Bybit's own wording on dividends. The launch release says cash dividends are converted from USD into USDC and credited to the UTA; the how-to guide says they are credited to your USD balance after the record and payment dates. Check where yours land after the first payment. Stock dividends and splits are reflected directly in the position, and voting rights are planned for a later phase.
Acting on it
Before your first order, read the Bybit profile for the venue's licences and fees, and if you already trade Bybit's stock perpetuals, compare what you hold there with what this product gives you using our launch explainer and the tokenized stocks vs perpetuals guide.
Bybit is also running a launch campaign titled "Full Stocks Ahead: Share 150,000 USDC", posted to its announcement feed on 12 October. Its full rules page could not be read from our servers, so check the eligibility and task list in the app before trading for it.
What we could not verify
We could not confirm the full list of supported countries, whether SIPC protection applies in the same way to non-US clients who come in through an introducing broker, or the detailed rules of the launch campaign. Bybit's guide also lists a stop order on its summary card but describes stops as conditional orders in the body; we describe them the second way.
Quick answers
Can I buy stocks on Bybit with USDT? Not directly. Bybit Stocks settles in USD; convert to USDC and then to USD (USDC-to-USD is fee-free), or hold USD in your UTA.
What is the minimum? Fractional orders start at $5 and there is no minimum account balance.
Are these real shares? You get an economic interest in the underlying shares, which Alpaca Securities holds in custody. They are not tokens and not perpetual contracts.
Can I trade at night or on weekends? Weekday sessions cover about 24 hours, from pre-market through overnight, but only limit orders work outside regular hours. Weekends and US holidays are closed.
Do I need a W-8BEN? Yes, if you are a non-US person. Bybit requires it before your first trade.
How long until a sale settles? T+1: realized P&L shows the next business day.
