Price flat, balance down? Finish the last level with costs in mind
Punti chiave
Funding is paid between longs and shorts, not a fixed charge to the exchange.
It is based on the position value: 1,000 at 0.01% is 0.10.
Choosing not to trade is a passing answer too.

Positive rate: longs pay, shorts receive. Fee in this example: 0.10. Pass by getting all key risk questions right, or by clearly choosing not to trade.

The price barely moved and I didn't close. Why is my balance lower?
- Nexubo
Besides trading fees, perpetual contracts usually have a funding mechanism. When the rate is positive, longs usually pay shorts. When it's negative, it flips. It's not a fixed interest everyone pays to the exchange.

Say the position value at settlement is 1,000 and the rate is 0.01%. This fee is 0.10. It's based on the position value, not your first 100 of margin.
- Nexubo
The interval and the rate can change by pair, platform and market. Don't remember it as 'every contract, every eight hours, forever'. And don't treat receiving funding as risk-free income.

The last level is practice only. First explain what you're trading and which direction. Then check the mode, size, margin, auto-add, exit plan and costs. If you don't understand one item, pause. Don't guess your way through the buttons.
- Sam
I know how to do it, and I know this risk isn't right for me. So I won't.
- Nexubo
That's a passing result too. Finishing the course doesn't mean you can make money. Understand first, then act.

Whatever you trade, fees are a cost that adds up. Compare fees on NexuAlpha, and register through an official partner link with our code to get part of your fees back. Lower cost, same risk.

You've finished both seasons. Pick the episode that felt hardest, and rewatch it before you ever trade.
