Liveness check

Definition

A liveness check is a real-time facial capture requested during an identity-verification flow to assess the person presenting the evidence.

How liveness check works

The screen may require camera access and a supported device. Keep your face visible and follow its capture instructions; a stored photograph is unsuitable when live capture is required. Lighting, permissions, app problems and interrupted connections can cause technical failures. Read the displayed reason and address that cause before repeating the attempt. Persistent capture problems belong with official support.

Example

Capture never starts because the camera is blocked. Check the device permission and return through the verified account flow.

Common mistakes

  • Paying someone who promises to perform the check for you.
