Hyperliquid fees by volume tier

Base rates from Hyperliquid's official fee schedule. Your tier depends on 14-day weighted volume (perps volume + 2 × spot volume), assessed at the end of each UTC day.

Tier14-day volumePerps takerPerps makerSpot takerSpot maker
0—0.045%0.015%0.070%0.040%

Staking HYPE lowers these rates by 5% to 40%, depending on the amount staked. Funding, spread and HIP-3 market fees are separate.

Hyperliquid referral code

Hyperliquid's docs: a referral code gives a 4% discount on your fees for your first $25M in volume, and it does not apply to vaults or sub-accounts. NexuAlpha's partner code: NEXU888. NexuAlpha publishes no rebate share for Hyperliquid.

Does Hyperliquid offer a funded account?

Not according to its own documentation: the Hyperliquid docs describe no funded-account or prop-trading programme. You trade with collateral you deposit; sub-accounts and vaults are the account features the docs describe. Third-party "funded account" offers have their own terms, which the Hyperliquid docs do not cover.

Hyperliquid fees, funded account and cashback checks: read referral discounts, funding and wallet permissions as one cost stack.

Official fee-table check on 2026-10-01: Tier 0 base perps maker 0.015%, taker 0.045%; spot maker 0.040%, taker 0.070%. These are dated base rates, not live quotes or guaranteed account rates. Staking, referral eligibility, asset and HIP-3 conditions can change the applicable fee; funding is separate. Check collateral, margin, liquidation and wallet permissions before trading.

Costs, conditions and official sources

Pre-trade cost stack: maker/taker fee ± hourly funding + spread/slippage + collateral transfer cost + liquidation/exit risk

Search intent: The Hyperliquid page answers hyperliquid fees, hyperliquid funded account and hyperliquid cashback as source checks, not benefit promises or partner-side outcomes.

  • Fee tier: rolling 14-day weighted volume is perps volume plus twice spot volume, assessed at each UTC day-end; spot and perps have separate schedules.
  • Single-side example: a hypothetical USD 1,000 perp taker fill at Tier 0 base 0.045% costs USD 0.45 in trading fees, before discounts, funding, spread/slippage or transfer costs.
  • Referral/cashback searches: separate official referral discounts and rewards from unsupported cashback language.
  • Funded-account searches: separate self-funded collateral, vault participation and third-party trader-funding claims.
Best fit
  1. Wallet-native perp or spot users who can read funding and margin risk before trading.
  2. Teams comparing Hyperliquid against dYdX or a centralized futures venue from published mechanics.
Do not use as the only path when
  1. The user wants fiat onboarding, custodial account recovery, or a funded-account outcome without source proof.
  2. The decision depends on a cashback, rebate or vault-return promise that is not visible in official terms.
Decision order before leaving NexuAlpha
  1. Compare Hyperliquid vs dYdX for account model, funding and margin mechanics.
  2. Open the derivatives cost dictionary to separate fees, funding, collateral, liquidation and referral discount language.
  3. Only then connect a wallet or inspect the app route with current collateral and signing permissions.
This answer does not promise account access, cashback, funded-account allocation, vault return, lower fees, referral benefits, bridge availability or final net trading cost.
Try a perpetual trading-fee scenario

Hypothetical USD fill notional, not margin. This arithmetic uses standard validator-operated perpetuals at Tier 0: maker 0.015%, taker 0.045%. It is not an official worked example, live quote or account rate.

Greater than 0 and up to 1,000,000,000; at most two decimal places. Use a decimal point, without commas.

Trading fee only: $0.45

Notional per fill × rate × fill count: 1000 USD × 0.045% × 1

Funding, spread/slippage, transfers and liquidation costs are unknown here, not zero, and are excluded. HIP-3, growth/aligned markets, staking, referral discounts and builder fees are outside this scenario. Account-specific conditions can change the actual trading fee.

Your amount stays in this page: no account lookup, saving or amount tracking.

Fee tier clock
Hyperliquid fees documentation says fees are based on rolling 14 day volume, assessed at the end of each UTC day, with separate schedules for perps and spot; sub-account volume counts toward the master account fee tier while vault volume is treated separately.Read source
Fee source map
A Hyperliquid fees search should split cost evidence into four official lanes: the fee schedule for maker/taker tiers, funding docs for hourly peer-to-peer funding, contract specifications for market mechanics, and liquidation docs for maintenance-margin failure paths.Read source
Funding payment
Hyperliquid funding docs say funding is peer-to-peer, collected by neither side of the venue, paid every hour, and based on the difference between the perpetual contract price and the spot oracle price.Read source
Funding and liquidation bundle
A Hyperliquid fees query should be read as a bundle: maker/taker schedule, hourly funding, margin mode and liquidation threshold can all change the position cost before PnL is known.Read source
Fee decision checklist
Before placing a Hyperliquid perp order, compare the quoted maker/taker tier, expected hourly funding direction, margin mode, maintenance margin, liquidation path, bridge or USDC movement cost, and whether the order belongs to main account, sub-account or API wallet flow.Read source
USDC funding route
Hyperliquid USDC docs describe native Hyperliquid L1 USDC and point users to Circle's Arbitrum-to-HyperCore CCTP transfer documentation.Read source
Wallet transfer boundary
Hyperliquid exchange-endpoint docs separate signed trading actions from user-signed Core USDC transfers, so wallet movement cost and transfer signing should be checked separately from maker/taker fees and funding.Read source

Hyperliquid testnet faucet docs say users need a mainnet deposit with the same address before receiving mock USDC for testnet use.Read source
Funded-account boundary
A Hyperliquid funded-account search should be split into wallet funding, USDC collateral, account modes, sub-accounts and API-wallet delegation; the official docs do not turn that phrase into a guaranteed prop-account allocation.Read source
Funded-account source map
For a Hyperliquid funded-account query, use USDC docs for funding the wallet, account-abstraction docs for collateral mode, sub-account docs for account separation, API-wallet docs for delegated signing, and vault docs for vault participation; none of those sources proves a third-party prop account allocation.Read source
Funded-account ambiguity
When the query is 'Hyperliquid funded account', NexuAlpha should not collapse wallet collateral, sub-accounts, vault deposits and outside prop-firm language into one CTA; each meaning requires a different official source check.Read source
Sub-account threshold
Hyperliquid sub-account docs say up to 10 sub-accounts can be created only after reaching $100,000 in volume, and referral discounts do not apply to sub-accounts.Read source
API wallet signing
Hyperliquid API wallet docs say API wallets sign on behalf of a master account or sub-account, but account data queries must use the actual account address, not the agent wallet.Read source
Account mode collateral
Hyperliquid account-abstraction docs separate unified, portfolio margin and manual/standard modes, which determine how spot and perps balances interact and whether assets are used as perps collateral.Read source
Weighted fee tier
Hyperliquid combines perp and spot volume into one fee tier, with spot volume counting double in the published 14-day weighted-volume formula; the applicable maker or taker rate still depends on the current official tier and asset context.Read source
HIP-3 fee boundary
HIP-3 perpetuals share the user's fee tier, but growth mode and deployer-configured fee shares can change all-in fees, rebates and volume contribution. Users should verify the specific HIP-3 market instead of applying one protocol-wide perp rate.Read source

Hyperliquid cost and access questions

Read each answer with its supporting official sources.

Are hyperliquid fees cheaper than a centralized futures exchange?

You cannot decide from a headline taker fee alone. Hyperliquid fees depend on a maker/taker fee tier based on rolling 14-day volume, separate spot and perp schedules, sub-account volume rules, vault-volume separation, HIP-3 market conditions and referral discount eligibility; hourly peer-to-peer funding is separate from maker/taker trading fees and can change the holding cost.

Does Hyperliquid have cashback or a referral discount?

Use official referral language, not a generic cashback promise. A hyperliquid cashback search should be checked against official referral discount and reward terms: Hyperliquid's docs describe referral rewards and a referral-code fee discount with volume boundaries; they also say referral discounts do not apply to vaults or sub-accounts. Verify the current app state before treating any code or link as a live benefit.
