Binance: secure the account before moving a balance
A successful sign-in is a useful moment to rehearse recovery. Before funding Binance, make sure you can regain access if the phone you use today disappears.

Leave yourself a recovery route
- [ ] Open Binance through a bookmark you have checked. Protect the linked mailbox, bind the supported authenticator in account security and complete its confirmation challenge.
- [ ] Keep recovery material private and separate from the device used for daily access. Test a fresh login while retaining a trusted session.
- [ ] Look for the withdrawal address allow-list; verify the asset, network and recipient before saving anything. Read the current rules for new addresses.
- [ ] Set an anti-phishing code if your account offers it. A familiar code in a message still requires independent checking of the request.
Decide how money reaches the spot balance
Already holding crypto? Match the receiving asset and network to the sending service and check whether a memo is required. Starting with cash? Compare the funding options actually shown for your country, currency and identity status. Read the provider charge and exchange quote before accepting; this guide does not establish an available bank or card route.
Choose execution deliberately
A maker order adds resting liquidity; a taker order consumes it. A limit order can execute immediately and incur taker fees. Read the order preview and cancel an unwanted remainder rather than submitting another order blindly. Binance's equal base rates, as last checked, give no fee saving merely for waiting as a maker.
Last checked on 2026-10-10: spot maker 0.10%, taker 0.10%. These are public base rates before discounts, and your account or region may differ. Confirm the actual charge before ordering.
A hypothetical fill, with trading fees only
Assume 100 USDT of executed notional; this is an illustration, not a suggested deposit.
Maker: 100 × 0.10% = 0.1 USDT.
Taker: 100 × 0.10% = 0.1 USDT.
Spread, slippage, funding-route, conversion and withdrawal charges are unpriced here. These figures are not an all-in cost.
