An old saved recipient sent the withdrawal to another platform

Find the actual controller of the destination before requesting a return. A completed withdrawal at the sending exchange does not give that exchange authority over a different platform’s account.

A saved label can mislead

Suppose you chose a recipient labelled with your intended venue, then discovered that the full address matched an account elsewhere. This is an illustrative situation: the address-book label alone cannot tell you who received the transfer.
Start with the sending app’s current status. If it explicitly offers cancellation for that withdrawal, use its official control. A completed transfer cannot simply be redirected by changing the label afterward.
Then compare the entire destination against deposit records in accounts you actually own. Preserve those comparisons along with the withdrawal receipt. Avoid assigning ownership from a nickname you entered earlier.

Follow the ownership result

The address belongs to another account you use. Open that receiving platform and ask its support to assess the incoming transfer. Its ability to act depends on actual control and applicable handling rules.
You cannot establish whose address it is. Ask the sending service to document the withdrawal and explain formal reporting options. If an unrelated person received the asset, their cooperation or formal procedures may be necessary. Neither venue can promise to move it into your intended account.
The relevant background pages are OKX, Gate, Bybit, Binance and Bitget. Verify eligibility and any terms with that service before proceeding, without assuming a finish date.

Keep control of your accounts

A person promising to contact the recipient privately should receive no seed phrase, private key, authentication code or remote access. Reject wallet approvals and advance-payment rescue offers arriving by unsolicited message. Only enter a code into an official action you initiated. The account-security page covers authentication precautions while you preserve evidence and pursue the appropriate contact.
Review memo and tag when comparing the receipt with receiving instructions.
