SoFi Reports 503,070 Crypto Products as Quarterly Net Revenue Reaches $1.39 Billion
The short answer
SoFi reported 503,070 crypto products at September 30 and $1.385 billion of third-quarter net revenue in its October 27 earnings release. Its crypto transaction revenue was $161.606 million before $159.973 million of associated costs, leaving $1.633 million net; readers following SOFI should distinguish those revenue lines from the number of crypto accounts. Company earnings release via Nasdaq
The company defines its financial-services products to include crypto accounts opened through its platform by the reporting date. That makes the crypto product count useful for following account adoption. It does not tell you how many people traded during the quarter, how much crypto they held or which coins they bought. Those questions need separate operating data.

The account figure inside a much larger business
SoFi published results for the quarter ended September 30 at 19:00 SGT on October 27, according to the release's publication timestamp. The detailed financial-services table lists 503,070 crypto products. The surrounding narrative rounds that figure to 503,000. Both describe the same quarter-end measure. Nasdaq-hosted release
The release says SoFi returned to crypto investing in the fourth quarter of 2025. Its description of SoFi Crypto says members can buy, sell and hold digital assets. For readers tracking the business after that launch, the September account count gives a dated operating measure alongside the revenue figures. The company reports no comparable crypto product figure in the September 2025 column of the table.
SoFi's total business had 17,074,272 members and 26,671,579 products at the end of the quarter. Financial Services accounted for 23,241,525 products. Those totals cover several kinds of customer relationships, including money accounts, investing accounts and credit products. A crypto account occupies one category within that broader product base.
The difference between members and products is relevant to any adoption claim. SoFi says customers can use several products, and its definitions specify how separate accounts are counted. Adding the product categories therefore does not produce a count of distinct people. Calling all 503,070 crypto products active traders would also go beyond what the earnings release measures.
Follow the subtraction from gross to net
The crypto revenue lines appear in the consolidated statement of operations. The table is presented in thousands of dollars, so its crypto transaction revenue entry of 161,606 means $161.606 million. Associated costs are 159,973 in the same units, or $159.973 million. The subtraction is $161.606 million minus $159.973 million, which equals $1.633 million. Financial tables in the release

| Third-quarter measure | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto transaction revenue | $161.606 million | Company release, statement of operations |
| Cost of crypto transaction revenue | $159.973 million | Same table |
| Net crypto transaction revenue | $1.633 million | Same table |
| Company total net revenue | $1,385.099 million | Same table |
| Company net income | $240.989 million | Same table |
SoFi says net crypto transaction revenue primarily consists of transaction fees earned from facilitating members' buy and sell orders. That definition helps explain why the net line belongs in an assessment of the revenue the business retains after the associated crypto costs shown in the statement. The gross figure alone leaves that subtraction out.
The $1.633 million figure also needs its own label. It is net crypto transaction revenue, while $240.989 million is net income for the whole company. The statement does not present the former as a standalone crypto segment profit. Comparing them without those labels would mix a business activity's revenue with consolidated earnings after other items.
For a sense of scale, dividing $1.633 million by $1,385.099 million gives approximately 0.118%. This calculation compares net crypto transaction revenue with total company net revenue for the same quarter. It is not a customer trading fee or a crypto profit margin. The inputs and time period are visible in the table above.
What drove the company-level record
SoFi's consolidated GAAP net revenue increased 44% from $961.600 million a year earlier to $1,385.099 million. Net income rose from $139.392 million to $240.989 million, an increase the company reports as 73%. Diluted earnings per share reached $0.18, compared with $0.11 in the same prior-year quarter. Company results
The segment tables put the crypto discussion in context. Lending reported $821.345 million of net revenue, Financial Services reported $525.095 million and Technology Platform reported $87.368 million. These are the company's reported segment amounts; use the consolidated figure when describing revenue for the company as a whole.
Financial Services revenue increased 25% year over year, according to the release. Money products reached about 8.5 million and Relay, also called Coach, reached about 8.7 million. Invest reached about 4.2 million. The headline crypto count sits beside those larger account categories, giving readers a way to judge its size without assuming the entire quarterly record came from digital assets.
The company also reported total deposits of $51.3 billion, up $5.8 billion during the quarter. Those are company banking figures. The release does not identify that increase as crypto deposits. An investor studying SOFI's crypto business should keep the banking deposit total separate from any question about digital assets held by crypto customers.
The SOFI market snapshot has a different clock
An Odaily notice published at 19:57 SGT on October 27 cited MSX data showing a SOFI quote of 16.05 USDT, up 11.0% over one hour and 9.0% over 24 hours. That is a timestamped observation from the market named by the outlet. It is separate from the company's September 30 operating figures. Odaily market notice
The notice does not supply the instrument's complete contract terms or establish an official Nasdaq closing price. Its USDT quote should remain attached to the venue attribution and observation time. It cannot establish a closing return for the underlying common shares, and it does not verify a listing on another exchange.
If you already have a SOFI position in a trading account, open that position's instrument details before responding to an earnings headline. Check the issuer, full product name, settlement currency and the trading session shown by your account. Then compare the account's current quote with the price relevant to your existing order. A market report from 19:57 SGT cannot supply a later executable price.
Readers comparing stock-related instruments can start with the tokenized stocks hub, keeping the exact product identity alongside the company ticker. The market calendar provides a separate place to organize earnings and market events. Neither link establishes that a particular account can trade SOFI; that requires the account's own product terms.
Check the position against the earnings period
Before changing a SOFI position after the release, save the current instrument details beside the earnings figures:
- Match the full company name and product description to the position you already hold.
- Record the quote currency, timestamp and session shown in your account.
- Compare the order preview with that position, including the quantity and costs displayed.
For the company comparison, retain the September 30 reporting date beside each financial figure so a later market quote cannot replace the reporting-period measure. Use the same reporting period when comparing product counts with revenue.
What a crypto customer should check
The earnings release answers questions about SoFi's business scale. Choosing where to hold or trade crypto requires a different set of details. If you use SoFi Crypto, inspect the actual asset offered in your account, the order preview and any transfer options shown for that asset. The quarter-end product total does not set the terms of your next transaction.
For an existing exchange position, keep its records separate from a proposed move into another app. Write down the asset and network currently held, then check whether the receiving product supports the transfer you intend to make. The earnings release's statement that members can buy, sell and hold digital assets does not confirm a particular token's withdrawal network or a particular customer's account access.
For SOFI shareholders, a useful follow-up record would retain the quarter-end crypto product count, net crypto transaction revenue and consolidated revenue in separate columns. At the next reporting date, compare each with its own prior value and check whether the company changed the definition. This avoids treating growth in account openings as evidence of the same growth in revenue.
One current definition change shows why that check belongs in the process. SoFi says its Invest metric added two products in the third quarter following its Composer acquisition: systematic taxable accounts and systematic IRA accounts. It says prior periods were not recast because the impact was immaterial. That change applies to Invest, so it should not be silently assigned to the crypto category. Product definitions
Questions the reported figures answer
Does 503,070 mean that many coins are available?
The figure is a count of crypto products under SoFi's account-based product definition. It is not a catalogue of supported cryptocurrencies. The release describes crypto accounts opened through the platform, rather than 503,070 different digital assets.
Did crypto generate $161.606 million of net revenue?
The statement reports $161.606 million of crypto transaction revenue before $159.973 million of associated costs. The resulting net crypto transaction revenue is $1.633 million. Preserve all three labels when comparing SoFi with another company's crypto figures.
What remains unmeasured here?
The quarter-end account count does not disclose active crypto traders, customer crypto balances or trading volume. The opened release also does not establish the access conditions or transfer features for a specific customer's account. The next useful disclosure would connect account adoption with activity using a clearly defined period and measure.
