Biggest Crypto Movers Today: JCT +135%, DOOD +86%, AGT −36% — What the Exchange Data Shows Before You Chase

5 min

The short answer

The three biggest movers among actively traded Binance perpetuals in the last 24 hours are Janction (JCT) at +135%, Doodles (DOOD) at +86% and AGT at −36%, and none of them has a reported catalyst in the newsrooms or exchange announcements we read. JCT and DOOD carry Binance's "Alpha" tag, the group of small tokens that are listed early and move hardest, and JCT's funding rate is about 0.099% every eight hours, which is roughly 0.3% a day that a long holder pays. If you are looking at a token that doubled overnight, the data below shows how much open interest is behind the move, how costly it is to hold a long, and how far each one has already fallen from its high.

We read these figures from Binance, Bybit and OKX at about 22:50 UTC on 20 October (06:50 on 21 October in Singapore). Each is the 24-hour change on the USDT perpetual.

WLD0.58930.52920.5959 / 0.5220+11.4%$542.2M

The two big winners trade at tiny unit prices. JCT trades in a fraction of a cent, so a "135% day" is a move from 0.00198 to 0.00465 dollars. DOOD is the same story, from 0.00135 to 0.00251 dollars. At those prices small orders move the book quickly, and a contract that doubled can halve again just as fast.

How much leverage is behind each move

Open interest is the total size of positions still open. By our arithmetic (contracts times mark price), Binance's JCT open interest is 6,204,641,644 contracts at 0.004648, about 28.8 million dollars, and Bybit lists 9.99 million dollars of JCT open interest. DOOD has 4,854,638,759 contracts at 0.002506 on Binance, about 12.2 million dollars, and Bybit lists 5.36 million dollars. AGT has 461,655,241 contracts at 0.05779, about 26.7 million dollars. Compared with the 24-hour turnover, JCT traded about 22 times its open interest in a day, which is the signature of fast, short-term trading, not of long-term holders building positions.

The bigger names tell a different story. WLD has about 100.3 million dollars of open interest on Bybit against 542 million dollars of Binance turnover, and its move is a more ordinary +11.4%. The liquidations page shows how much leverage was forced out in the same 24 hours.

Funding: what a long costs you to hold

The funding rate is what holders of a perpetual pay each other every eight hours. On Binance, JCT's last funding rate is 0.098857%, and on Bybit it is 0.073768%. At Binance's rate that is three payments a day, or about 0.297% a day. On a 10,000-dollar position, which is 1,000 dollars of margin at 10x, a long pays roughly 29.7 dollars a day just to stay open, before any trading fee, and a short receives it. DOOD's funding is 0.018578% on Binance (about 0.056% a day) and 0.005% on Bybit. AGT's is 0.005% on Binance, the standard base level, so shorts on a token that fell 36% are not being paid extra for holding.

When funding is this high on a coin that has already doubled, it means the crowd is paying to be long. That does not predict a reversal, but it does raise the cost of being late: the longer you hold, the more of the move the funding rate takes back. The funding rate board compares the current rates across Binance and OKX.

Why they moved: what we could and could not verify

We searched the RSS feeds of Cointelegraph, Decrypt and The Block and the exchange announcement feed that NexuAlpha collects, and none carries an item mentioning JCT, DOOD or AGT in the last day. A web search for JCT found coverage of its November 2025 Binance listing and airdrop, and nothing for October 2026. Binance's contract data classifies JCT and DOOD as "Alpha" and AGT as "AI", and the perpetuals were listed on 10 November 2025, 9 May 2025 and 20 May 2025 respectively. That tells you what they are, not why they moved. We therefore do not give a cause for any of the three, and we would treat any explanation you read on social media as a rumor until an exchange, the project or a primary news source confirms it.

How to act on this

A token that doubles in a day with no news is a trading situation, not an investing one. If you trade it, size the position so that a full reversal to the day's open costs you an amount you accepted in advance: for JCT that open is 58% below the current price, so a long entered at 0.00465 loses more than half of its value if the day's gain disappears. Use low leverage, because a 20x long on JCT is liquidated by roughly a 5% fall, which the day's range exceeds many times over.

If you want to trade perpetuals with a fee rebate, Bitget and OKX both list large contracts, and signing up with code nexu888 on either puts you on the NexuAlpha partner terms. JCT, DOOD and AGT are Binance-listed contracts, so check each exchange's own list before you assume a symbol is available on the venue you use.

What we could not verify

We could not find a news cause for any of the three moves. We did not check on-chain data for token unlocks, large wallet transfers or airdrop distributions, any of which can move a small token. The figures above are a snapshot of one moment; by the time you read this they will have changed.

Quick answers

Why is JCT up today? It is up about 135% in 24 hours on Binance, and we found no reported catalyst in the newsrooms or exchange announcements we read.

Is the JCT rally driven by leverage? Partly: its funding rate is about 0.099% every eight hours on Binance, which means longs are paying to hold, and its 24-hour turnover is about 22 times its open interest.

Why is AGT down 36%? The data shows the fall from 0.0906 to 0.0578 dollars with a low of 0.0562, but we found no announcement explaining it.

How much does it cost to hold a JCT long? At Binance's current rate, about 0.3% of position size per day, or roughly 29.7 dollars a day on a 10,000-dollar position.

Where do I see liquidations? On the liquidations page, which updates through the day.
