Binance schedules launch of 4 TradFi perpetuals with up to 20x leverage

7 min

The short answer

Binance Futures has scheduled four USDT-priced perpetual contracts for 26 October: EIDOUSDT at 17:00 SGT, EQTUSDT at 17:05 SGT, STMUSDT at 17:10 SGT and ABBVUSDT at 17:15 SGT. The official launch notice lists a maximum leverage of 20x for each contract, eight-hour funding settlements and support for Multi-Assets Mode. For traders preparing an order, the first check is the exact symbol and its individual opening time; the four contracts do not open together. Odaily’s report and ChainCatcher’s report also describe the four-contract launch and the 20x ceiling. Both point back to the exchange announcement. They corroborate the published schedule rather than provide an independent observation of live trading.

Four openings across 15 minutes

The timetable starts with EIDOUSDT and adds another contract every five minutes. Binance’s English announcement gives the times in UTC; the table below converts them to Singapore Time by adding eight hours. All four scheduled openings fall on 26 October in both time zones.

The distinction matters when setting an alert. An alert for the first opening does not establish that ABBVUSDT is available at that moment. Put the full symbol beside each reminder, then confirm the trading status of that symbol when its scheduled time arrives. The notice is a timetable; it does not supply an executed trade or an opening price.

EIDO also needs careful reading. Binance names an ETF as that contract’s underlying, while the other entries name individual companies’ common stock. A reader sorting these into a watchlist should preserve those labels. Treating all four as individual-company exposures would discard information that the exchange supplies explicitly.

For broader product comparisons, use the tokenized-stock and traditional-asset hub to organise the products you are examining. Keep Binance’s own label, “USDT-Priced Perpetual Contract,” attached to these four entries when comparing them with another product type.

What the 20x figure actually specifies

The announcement gives the same maximum leverage, 20x, for EIDOUSDT, EQTUSDT, STMUSDT and ABBVUSDT. It does not describe a required setting. Nor does it promise that every account will receive the same permissions: the notice expressly says the products and services described may be unavailable in some regions.

A useful preparation step is to write down the leverage setting you intend to use before opening the order ticket. Then compare it with the setting displayed for the selected contract. A launch headline containing “20x” should not decide that setting for you. This is an order-preparation choice, separate from the sourced fact that the published ceiling is 20x.

Binance also reserves the ability to change maximum leverage and margin requirements under its clearing rules. Its launch notice directs readers to the relevant leverage and margin table for the applicable parameters. For an order placed after the scheduled opening, compare the current contract specification with the launch table rather than assuming the original announcement has frozen the limits permanently.

Read account-specific margin amounts, liquidation levels and position limits on the selected product’s order screen. Keep those fields beside your intended order size so that the published leverage ceiling and the account’s actual requirements remain separate. The launch table alone cannot calculate a particular reader’s available position.

The two minimums must be read together

All four contracts share a tick size of 0.01. Their minimum trade amounts are 0.01 EIDO, 0.01 EQT, 0.01 STM and 0.01 ABBV respectively. The minimum notional value is 5 USDT for each contract. These are separate rows in Binance’s specification table.

Do not reduce those rows to “the minimum order is 0.01.” That wording loses both the unit and the notional requirement. When preparing an order, match the quantity field to the contract’s named unit, then check that the order also satisfies the displayed notional minimum. The table’s 5 USDT figure is a minimum notional, not a published fee or a promised account funding requirement.

The tick-size row is also distinct from the quantity row. Both happen to contain 0.01 in this announcement, but they describe different fields. Keep price increments and trade amounts in separate columns in any personal checklist. Copying one number into both fields without preserving its label can produce an order that differs from the one intended.

The launch document does not provide an opening price for any of the four contracts. Use the live order preview to convert the intended quantity into its notional when the relevant contract is available. Preserve the selected symbol in that calculation; a price from an unrelated instrument cannot complete the check.

Eight-hour funding has a specific exception

Binance lists a capped funding rate of +2.00% and −2.00% for each contract, with funding-fee settlement every eight hours. The interest-rate component shown in the same table is 0%. None of those entries states the actual funding rate that will apply at the first settlement.

The distinction between a cap and an observed rate is central to reading this launch. The +2.00% and −2.00% figures describe the published bounds. Writing that traders “will pay 2% every eight hours” would turn a limit into a forecast and would misstate the notice. Before holding a position through a settlement, read the rate and next settlement time displayed for that specific contract.

There is a further detail in the announcement’s funding rules. These contracts are exempt from the adjustment provision that would otherwise change an eight-hour interval to one hour after a funding settlement reaches the cap or floor. Under this notice, reaching a bound does not itself trigger that interval change. Binance says it will issue a separate announcement if it decides to move these contracts to an hourly interval.

A trader tracking funding should therefore keep two records: the current displayed rate and the settlement schedule. A change in the former does not establish a change in the latter. The launch notice supplies an eight-hour schedule and a stated exception; a future announcement or current specification would be needed to establish a different arrangement.

The exchange says it may adjust funding parameters under its clearing rules. For subsequent orders, read the current specification before carrying forward the launch table’s funding parameters.

USDT settlement and Multi-Assets Mode

The settlement-asset row says USDT for all four contracts. A separate row says Multi-Assets Mode is supported. Preserve both entries when comparing these products: the mode-support row does not replace the settlement-asset row.

Before submitting an order, inspect the mode selected in the account and the collateral information shown for that contract. The announcement confirms support for Multi-Assets Mode, but it does not list an account’s balances or establish which balance the reader has selected. A label in a launch table cannot answer those account-specific questions.

The same applies to eligibility. The official notice establishes that Binance plans to admit the contracts to trading through Binance RIE and to clearing and settlement through Binance RCH. It does not establish that a particular country’s residents or every existing Binance user can access them. Check the product that your own account actually displays before transferring funds for this launch.

Readers comparing venue information can keep the Binance profile beside the contract specification. Use the profile for navigation and the current contract screen for the order’s symbol, mode and applicable parameters. Record the fee displayed for the intended order separately from the minimum notional in the launch table.

A 24/7 label needs a contract-level check

The official table lists trading hours as 24/7 for all four perpetuals. Keep that statement attached to these contracts. It does not supply a session timetable for the underlying ETF or shares, so keep that calendar separate.

For someone following both the underlying security and its Binance perpetual, maintain separate entries for the instrument name and the venue product. Record which price is being viewed before comparing quotes. The official underlying names in the launch table provide a starting point for that identification; a matching ticker alone is insufficient to establish that two screens show the same product.

The traditional-asset product hub can help keep product categories visible during that comparison. The practical question for this launch is narrower: does the selected Binance screen say EIDOUSDT, EQTUSDT, STMUSDT or ABBVUSDT, and does its specification match the order you intend to place?

What to check at the scheduled opening

Begin with the contract that is actually due to open. Confirm its full symbol, trading status and currently displayed parameters. Next, check the chosen quantity against both the minimum trade amount and the minimum notional. Read the funding rate separately from the published cap, and note the next settlement time shown on the screen.

If the product is absent from your account, the announcement alone does not resolve why. The opened material does not provide a country-by-country eligibility list or an account-approval process. It also contains no confirmed opening volume, spread or first transaction. Leave those fields unfilled until a product screen or a subsequent official update establishes them.

For the timetable itself, the sequence remains precise: EIDOUSDT first, followed by EQTUSDT, STMUSDT and ABBVUSDT, with the final scheduled opening at 17:15 SGT. At that point, check the individual market’s status rather than treating the end of the timetable as proof that every scheduled launch occurred.
