Binance P2P buy steps and order limits: check the amount before paying

7 min

The short answer

To buy crypto through Binance P2P in the app, open Add Funds, choose P2P Trading, filter sellers by trading amount and payment method, read the selected seller's terms, and place the order. Pay using the details inside that order before tapping Transferred, Notify Seller. Binance's buying guide says cancelling three orders in a day suspends the buy-crypto function for that day. Check the selected offer's accepted amount before committing.

The buying instructions checked on November 6, 2026 SGT describe two routes: the P2P zone, where you select a seller, and Express, where the system selects an advertisement after you enter a currency, asset, amount and payment method. The order and its terms are the useful starting point for an amount check. A number from another seller or an earlier transaction does not answer whether your intended purchase fits the offer you are about to accept. Source: Binance’s app P2P buying guide.

For the venue background, use our Binance account overview. The steps below focus on completing a P2P purchase and keeping the payment record consistent with the order.

Set the purchase amount before selecting a seller

Start with the amount you intend to spend and the payment method you can actually use. Binance explicitly allows filtering P2P sellers by trading amount and payment method. Use both filters before opening a purchase. A seller's terms also need to suit the transaction, so read them before pressing Place Order.

Keep the currency and asset visible while doing this. Binance's instructions use USDT as their example, but a tutorial example does not establish which asset or payment method your account can use. Confirm those choices in the transaction screen. If you change the amount, repeat the terms check for the offer you eventually select.

For an order-limits question, distinguish the amount you enter from a platform-wide entitlement. The opened buying guide explains the amount filter without publishing a single numeric minimum or maximum for every P2P transaction. The practical answer is to inspect the selected offer and the amount accepted on its order screen. Treat any additional restriction shown there as part of that purchase decision.

Do not create a succession of orders just to discover whether a payment route works. Read the seller's conditions first. Binance's cancellation rule makes that sequence relevant: three cancellations in one day suspend buying for the rest of that day. There is no reason to spend a cancellation on an offer whose payment terms you could have rejected before placing it.

The manual P2P route, from the app homepage to the order

Binance's published app route begins at Add Funds and then P2P Trading. Tap the zone name at the top if you need to switch between P2P and Express. In the P2P zone, select a seller after applying the amount and payment-method filters, then tap Buy.

Enter the quantity of USDT you want to purchase in the tutorial's example. Read the seller's terms and conditions before placing the order. Keep the amount in the entry field and the order details together as you review them; the objective is to approve the transaction you actually intend to pay for.

Press Place Order only when those details work for you. Binance says the platform immediately secures an equivalent amount of the seller's assets once you place the order. That is the escrow stage in the published process. The next step still requires you to transfer the payment to the seller using the order's payment details.

A useful pre-payment review follows the sequence in the guide:

  1. Confirm the selected asset and the amount you entered.
  2. Read the seller's conditions and the chosen payment method.
  3. Open the payment details inside the order before making the transfer.
  4. Compare the transfer you are preparing with that order.

Use the details from the order you have opened for the transfer. If you select another advertisement, check its payment information again before sending money.

Escrow and the payment transfer happen at different stages

Binance describes P2P as a marketplace for exchanging cryptocurrency directly with other Binance users. It provides an escrow service. Its app guide says the seller's corresponding assets are secured after the buyer places an order, while the buyer transfers the payment directly to the seller through the payment method shown.

Keep those two records distinct when checking progress. The crypto side has an order status. The payment side has the transfer you make using the seller's payment information. Seeing that an order exists is not a reason to mark the payment complete before sending it.

On the order detail page, open View Payment Details. Follow the payment information attached to the transaction and keep the completed payment record available for comparison. That record is useful if you need to establish which transfer belongs to which purchase.

The notification button belongs after payment. Binance specifically tells buyers not to tap Transferred, Notify Seller or Confirm Payment unless they have paid the seller. Pressing the button early makes the status inconsistent with what you have done. If you are still reviewing a transfer or have not sent it, leave that confirmation for later.

What “Releasing” means after you pay

After completing payment, select Transferred, Notify Seller. Binance says this changes the status to Releasing. The seller then checks the offline payment and releases the crypto after verifying it. The purchased crypto appears in the Funding Account, according to the same instructions.

Use that sequence to identify the next action. If you have completed the transfer but have not notified the seller, return to the order and complete the payment-notification step. If you have notified the seller and the order says Releasing, compare the order details with your payment record while waiting for confirmation.

Keep the current order open for its status and instructions. If the payment record and the order appear inconsistent, review which step you completed before using another confirmation button.

Once release completes, check the Funding Account for the purchased asset and reconcile it with the order. Save the transaction information with the payment record. That closes the purchase record you will need when checking a later account balance or reviewing what you paid.

Cancelling before payment and cancelling after payment require different checks

Binance's instructions show Cancel the Order, a reason selection, and Confirm Cancellation for an order you want to cancel before it is filled. They also state that cancelling three orders in a day suspends the buy-crypto function for that day. The guide does not specify a reset timezone in that sentence, so do not infer one from the SGT timestamp of this article.

Before cancelling, answer a more immediate question: have you already transferred money? Binance explicitly says that if payment has been sent, you should not tap Cancel unless the seller's refund has already reached your payment account. Check for the received refund before using cancellation in that situation.

An unpaid order you no longer want and a paid order awaiting crypto release have different payment records. Treating them as interchangeable can leave your order status disconnected from the transfer you made. For a paid order, keep the transfer information and current order details together while following the instructions available within that transaction.

Avoid using a fresh order as a replacement record for money sent on an earlier one. Our practical recommendation is to resolve the records of the existing purchase first.

Express changes how the advertisement is selected

In Express, Binance's guide tells the buyer to select a fiat currency, choose USDT in its example, enter an amount, and select a payment method. The system then selects a matching advertisement. You still place the order after that selection.

Express can therefore suit a buyer who wants the app to make the advertisement selection described in the guide. The manual P2P zone suits a buyer who wants to choose the seller after filtering. In either route, inspect the transaction you are accepting. A matching advertisement does not remove the need to check the selected amount or understand the payment information.

The payment instructions apply to both routes. Transfer payment directly to the seller using the stated details, then notify the seller after paying. If you have paid and want to cancel, Binance's refund-first instruction remains the relevant rule. Switching routes does not give you evidence that the earlier payment has been returned.

Quick answers

What is the minimum or maximum Binance P2P buy amount?

Use the trading-amount filter, check the selected seller's terms, and review the amount the order accepts before placing it.

Is pressing Transferred, Notify Seller the payment itself?

The guide places that button after the transfer. You send payment using the seller's details, then use the notification to update the order. Binance explicitly says not to confirm payment unless you have paid.

Where does the purchased crypto arrive?

Binance's app guide says the purchased crypto can be found in the Funding Account after the seller verifies payment and releases it. Check the order and that account together when reconciling the purchase.

Can I cancel after sending the money?

Binance says not to cancel a paid order unless you have already received the seller's refund in your payment account. Verify receipt of the refund, rather than treating a cancellation button as evidence that your money has returned.

For a later review of the venue and its account pages, return to the Binance profile. For the immediate purchase, keep the selected amount, the order's payment details and your actual transfer aligned before confirming the next step.
