Bybit fees calculator: $10,000 of BTC perps costs $11 to open and close, or $7.70 with 30% back
The short answer
Get 30% of your Bybit trading fees back and a $10,000 perpetual round trip costs $7.70 instead of $11.00, provided the account came through the sign-up route on our Bybit fees and sign-up page and the fees count as eligible. The 30% is a cut of the fee you paid. It is never a percentage of the trade amount.
Any Bybit trade comes down to four inputs: position value, fee rate, share returned and funding. Base rates here come from Bybit's Trading Fee Structure page, last updated November 5, 2026. Market figures come from Bybit's public API at about 02:51 SGT on November 8, 2026. Bybit says actual rates may vary by region, so put the number from your own My Fee Rate page into the formula if it differs.

The formula
Work out one fill at a time, because the opening and closing orders can pay different rates.
- Position value = contract quantity × price. Leverage does not change it.
- Trading fee = position value × fee rate.
- Fee returned = trading fee × 30%, using the Bybit share in our partner registry.
- Funding = position value × funding rate, at each funding time you hold through.
Take 0.1 BTC on BTCUSDT at the 75,812 mark price we read. Position value is $7,581.20. At the 0.055% base taker rate, opening costs $4.17, and closing at the same price costs another $4.17. That is $8.34 in total, with $2.50 returned and $5.84 net.
Leverage changes how that bill feels against your margin. A $10,000 position costs $11.00 to open and close at taker rates whether you post $1,000 at 10x or $200 at 50x. The first case spends 1.1% of the margin on fees, the second 5.5%.
What $10,000 costs at each order type
Bybit's VIP 0 rate on perpetuals and futures is 0.055% for takers and 0.02% for makers. Those rates produce three round trips:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Open and close | Fees | 30% returned | Net |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taker, then taker | $11.00 | $3.30 | $7.70 |
| Maker, then taker | $7.50 | $2.25 | $5.25 |
| Maker, then maker | $4.00 | $1.20 | $2.80 |
The price has to cover that before the trade makes money. At taker rates on both fills, the break-even move is 0.11%, or about $83.39 on BTC at 75,812. With the 30% returned it falls to 0.077%, or about $58.38. On ETH at $2,235.67, the same two moves are about $2.46 and $1.72.
Resting a limit order saves more than the rebate does on this example. Switching the opening fill from taker to maker takes $3.50 off the bill, against $3.30 from the 30% share on a pure taker round trip. You can use both, though a limit order may not fill.
Results for common position sizes
The fee scales in a straight line with position value, so the table below works for any standard contract at VIP 0 with taker fills on both sides.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Position value | Fees, open and close | 30% returned | Net |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $1.10 | $0.33 | $0.77 |
| $5,000 | $5.50 | $1.65 | $3.85 |
| $10,000 | $11.00 | $3.30 | $7.70 |
| $50,000 | $55.00 | $16.50 | $38.50 |
| $100,000 | $110.00 | $33.00 | $77.00 |
Frequency matters as much as size. Twenty $10,000 taker round trips in a month come to $220.00 in fees, with $66.00 returned and $154.00 net. The same 20 trades with a maker entry cost $150.00 before the share, and $105.00 after it.
Where the base rate does not apply
The 0.055% figure covers standard perpetuals and futures. Bybit's fee page sets separate tables for its special zones, and they change the arithmetic a lot.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Product at VIP 0 | Maker | Taker | Taker cost on $10,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard perpetuals and futures | 0.02% | 0.055% | $5.50 |
| Pre-Market Perpetual | 0.04% | 0.10% | $10.00 |
| Innovation Zone perpetual | 0.04% | 0.11% | $11.00 |
| Spot, crypto to crypto | 0.10% | 0.10% | $10.00 |
| Spot Adventure Zone and xStocks | 0.20% | 0.20% | $20.00 |
| Fiat pairs, under $100,000 monthly spot volume | 0.15% | 0.20% | $20.00 |

A taker round trip in the Innovation Zone costs $22.00, double the standard contract. Check the zone label on the trading page before you use our $11.00 figure, because the ticker alone will not tell you which table applies. Our earlier piece on Bybit's special-zone commission rates goes through those products in more detail.
Spot works the same way. Buying $1,000 of BTC and selling it later at the same value costs $1.00 each way at 0.10%, or $2.00 in total. If the 30% share applies to that spot trade, $0.60 comes back and you pay $1.40.
Funding is a separate line
Funding passes between longs and shorts, and Bybit says it applies the rate to position value at each funding time. You only pay or receive if you hold a position at that moment. A positive rate means longs pay shorts. BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT and SOLUSDT all use an eight-hour interval in Bybit's contract data. That puts funding at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC, or 08:00, 16:00 and 00:00 SGT, per Bybit's funding fee guide.
Here is what a $10,000 long would have paid over the last 90 payments, from 08:00 SGT on October 9 to 00:00 SGT on November 8. The totals are our sums of Bybit's published rates, assuming position value stayed at $10,000.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Contract | Current rate | Next payment on $10,000 | 90 payments, long pays | Positive payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTCUSDT | 0.0100% | $1.00 | $49.18 | 81 of 90 |
| ETHUSDT | 0.0100% | $1.00 | $26.48 | 69 of 90 |
| SOLUSDT | 0.0091% | $0.91 | $28.03 | 58 of 90 |
A short on the same contracts would have collected those totals. Funding overtakes the fee quickly for a long who stays in. At 0.01%, $11.00 of funding takes 11 payments, a little under four days. Compare the current rate across venues on our funding rates board before you hold for long.
Order-book cost, the part fee tables leave out
A market order also pays the distance from the mid-price to the levels it fills against. We walked 500 levels of each Bybit order book at about 02:51 SGT and measured that cost against the mid.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Contract | $10,000 buy | $10,000 sell | $1 million buy | $1 million sell |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTCUSDT | $0.01 | $0.01 | $0.66 | $152.25 |
| ETHUSDT | $0.02 | $0.02 | $156.92 | $99.59 |
| SOLUSDT | $0.56 | $0.56 | $263.55 | $430.31 |
For a $10,000 BTC or ETH order this is close to nothing next to the $5.50 fee. On SOL it adds about 10% to the fee. At $1 million the picture splits by side: BTC buying cost $0.66 and selling cost $152.25 in the same reading, so check the side you are about to cross. This is one snapshot in the early hours of a Sunday, SGT, and depth moves by the second.
One full bill
Here is a $10,000 BTCUSDT long, taker in and out, held for seven days at the current 0.01% funding rate, which means 21 payments if the rate holds:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Line | Cost |
|---|---|
| Trading fees | $11.00 |
| Funding, 21 × $1.00 | $21.00 |
| Order-book cost, two fills | $0.02 |
| Total | $32.02 |
| 30% of trading fees returned | −$3.30 |
| Net | $28.72 |
Funding is the largest line on a week-long hold, and the fee share does not touch it. A long held for an hour pays $11.02 before the share and $7.72 after, unless the hour crosses a funding time.
How much VIP levels change it
Bybit sets the VIP level by asset balance or 30-day volume, whichever earns the higher tier, and refreshes levels daily at 07:00 UTC (15:00 SGT). The rate applied is the level at the moment you place the order. Subaccounts use the main account's rates.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Level | Asset balance | 30-day derivatives volume | Taker | Maker | $10,000 taker round trip |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP 0 | any | under $10 million | 0.055% | 0.02% | $11.00 |
| VIP 1 | $100,000 | $10 million | 0.04% | 0.018% | $8.00 |
| VIP 2 | $250,000 | $25 million | 0.0375% | 0.016% | $7.50 |
| VIP 3 | $500,000 | $50 million | 0.035% | 0.014% | $7.00 |
For most readers the VIP 1 rate is out of reach, and $10 million of derivatives volume at the VIP 0 taker rate would cost $5,500 in fees on the way there. The 30% share on that same volume returns $1,650.
How Bybit sits next to Bitget and OKX
The table uses the base perpetual taker rates and shares in the partner registry we read this run, on one $10,000 taker round trip. Bitget and OKX are listed first because they appear first on our site.
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Venue | Taker rate | Fees | Share | Back | Net |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitget | 0.06% | $12.00 | 60% | $7.20 | $4.80 |
| OKX | 0.05% | $10.00 | 20% | $2.00 | $8.00 |
| Bybit | 0.055% | $11.00 | 30% | $3.30 | $7.70 |
The ranking covers fees alone. Funding, depth and the products you can use in your country can outweigh a difference of a few dollars. See Bitget's numbers and OKX's numbers for the other two.
How to get the 30%
Open your account through our Bybit page and enter the code 48553 at sign-up. Then place one small order and read the fee on the order confirmation. Run that real fee through the formula above, because your region or tier may give you a different rate from the base table.
Mistakes that skew the sum
Using margin instead of position value is the most common one. A $1,000 margin at 10x pays fees on $10,000. The second is applying the 30% to the trade: on a $10,000 taker round trip it returns $3.30, because it is 30% of the fee. The third is counting one side only, since break-even has to cover both fills.
What we could not confirm
Bybit's fee page says actual rates may vary by region and does not list those differences. Its own worked example says a $1,500,000 balance qualifies for VIP 1, while its criteria table lists VIP 1 from $100,000, so check your level in your account. Our registry gives no automatic settlement schedule for the Bybit share. We also did not confirm whether every product above counts as eligible for the share, or whether an existing account can receive it.
Quick answers
How do I calculate Bybit futures fees?
Multiply position value by the fee rate for each fill. A $10,000 position at the 0.055% taker rate costs $5.50 to open and $5.50 to close.
Does leverage increase the Bybit fee?
The fee follows position value. Leverage lets you hold a larger position on the same margin, so a position that is ten times larger pays ten times the fee.
Is funding included in the trading fee?
No. Funding is charged separately at each funding time, and longs and shorts pay each other. On BTCUSDT at 0.01%, a $10,000 long pays $1.00 per payment.
What is the Bybit taker fee for Innovation Zone perpetuals?
At VIP 0 it is 0.11%, twice the 0.055% standard rate, according to Bybit's fee page updated November 5, 2026.
