Bybit registration: email, Apple relay and the referral field
The short answer
To register on Bybit, select your actual country of residence, choose an email address or phone number you control, complete the contact verification and set your account password. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, record the relay address used for the account. Bybit’s registration guide says a referral or affiliate code must be entered before account creation; it cannot be added or changed afterward. Bybit registration guide.
The useful decision comes before submitting the form: which address will identify this account when you return? Choose that deliberately, then complete the identity checks shown for the entity serving you. A successful sign-up and an approved identity check are separate stages. Bybit’s individual-verification FAQ says at least Standard verification is required for its products and services, with higher requirements possible by region or product. Individual KYC FAQ.

Select the country before choosing a login method
The official registration sequence asks for your country of residence before the account details. Bybit says this selection may redirect you to a regional site or show a restricted-country notice. Use the form that applies to your circumstances. Do not select another country merely to keep the global form open. Registration sequence.
Bybit also publishes a separate service-restriction page. That page describes excluded jurisdictions and the consequences of false location or residence information. Read it before investing time in a form, particularly if the registration screen and a guide you found elsewhere describe different entities. An accessible website is insufficient evidence that you are eligible to open an account. Service restrictions.
Our practical recommendation is to resolve the entity question first. Write down the site or app name displayed after country selection and keep it with your account record. If a regional redirect appears, assess the instructions on that destination. Carrying an old screenshot across entities can leave you following a form that is no longer the one in front of you.
The NexuAlpha Bybit profile provides a starting point for the venue’s reader-facing information. Registration eligibility still comes from the official form and applicable restrictions. This guide does not establish availability for a particular country from the presence of a telephone dialing code.
Email registration and phone registration create different recovery chores
Bybit recommends email registration because email and Google Authentication are compulsory for withdrawals. Its guide also advises against an email provider you may lose access to later. Each email address and each mobile number can be associated with only one account. Registration contact requirements.
Before entering an email address, confirm you can receive messages in that mailbox and know how to recover access to it. That is an account-preparation task, not a reason to send a password or verification message to someone offering to help. Bybit’s getting-started guide says users should never share account passwords, private keys or authentication codes. Getting started on Bybit.
For phone registration, the official guide instructs users to select the country code and omit the leading zero from the number entered in the remaining field. Check those two fields together before requesting the message. A number displayed with the right digits but the wrong dialing code is still the wrong destination. Phone-number entry instructions.
If your country is missing from the mobile-number list, Bybit’s account-settings FAQ says email registration can be used provided you are outside its service-restricted countries. That condition matters: an alternative contact method does not remove the location restriction. Account-settings FAQ.

For someone already using an account, the next task is to recover the existing login rather than immediately submit another registration. The one-contact-per-account rule gives a reason to check the saved mailbox or phone record first. Search your own account records, identify the original method and use the official recovery options for that account.
Apple’s Hide My Email needs its own account record
Bybit documents several third-party registration methods. Google uses the email linked to the Google account. Apple’s Share My Email uses the linked Apple email; Hide My Email creates a random relay address. Bybit also lists registration through the phone number linked to Telegram. Supported sign-up methods.
For Apple registration, distinguish the email you read from the address Bybit sees. Under Hide My Email, the relay forwards messages to the linked mailbox, but the relay address identifies the registered account. Bybit’s account-settings FAQ explains this difference and describes checking the relay through Apple settings. Apple account questions.
Our suggested account note has two separate fields: registered address and receiving mailbox. Keep authentication secrets out of that note. This avoids relying on memory about which address you typed, especially if you later open the ordinary email-login form rather than use the Apple button again.
If you cannot find the account after an Apple sign-up, first inspect the sign-in method you originally used. The FAQ describes returning through Log In with Apple and checking the hidden address. Work through that explanation before treating the situation as a missing balance or opening a second account. The evidence needed at this stage is the original login identity.
Decide the referral field before submitting
Bybit’s account-settings FAQ says registration is possible without a referral code. It also says an existing account’s code cannot be added, removed or changed, including when the wrong code was associated with it. The registration guide places the code field before Sign Up Now. Referral-field rules.
If you intend to use a partner route, review the current site-generated option on the Bybit profile before creating the account. Compare what the registration form displays with the route you chose. Do not assume a code typed after account creation can repair an earlier selection.
This is also where benefit claims need a separate check. The act of entering a referral field does not, by itself, establish a cash reward, a particular discount or a payment date. Use the benefit and conditions actually attached to the route displayed, rather than importing an amount from an unrelated promotion. If the form does not show the arrangement you expected, resolve that before submission.
Finish contact verification, then examine the account status
The guide’s final registration steps are contact verification and setting the account password. Its instructions include a verification challenge and the email or SMS code sent to the selected contact. After registration, the user reaches the account dashboard and can begin identity verification. Final sign-up steps.
Read the result on the account screen before starting a deposit. Our recommendation is to make a short status record: login works, contact method is correct, identity-verification status is understood. If one of those items is unresolved, work on that item directly. A deposit would introduce a separate transaction to reconcile while the account question is still open.
The individual-KYC FAQ separates Standard, Advanced and Pro requirements. It lists identity assessment and proof of identity at Standard, proof of address at Advanced and enhanced due diligence at Pro. It also says requirements may vary by region or service. Follow the level requested on your account rather than assembling a document bundle from someone else’s experience. Verification levels.
Bybit’s getting-started guide places identity verification and account protection before depositing or buying crypto. Use that sequence as the stopping point for a registration task: create the account, confirm the correct login and review the remaining checks. Choosing a payment method can wait until you have established which services the account actually offers. [Onboarding sequence](https://www.bybit.
Recover the original contact before creating another account
Bybit's account-settings FAQ describes changing or unlinking an email from Account and Security. It also describes changing a mobile number to a new number not previously used on Bybit, while saying removal of a mobile number is unsupported. If a verification method is unavailable, the FAQ directs users to the verification-help option, where they can identify the failed method and submit a recovery request. Contact changes and verification recovery.
Our recommendation is to separate changing a contact from creating an account. Start with the original login identity and keep the support case number if you submit a request. Record what you asked the service to recover, rather than describing every stage as “registration.” A sign-up confirmation, an identity-verification result and an account-recovery reply concern different actions. Comparing the relevant message with the action you requested is a more useful next step than repeating the entire sign-up process.
Quick answers
Can I register without a referral code?
Yes. Bybit’s account-settings FAQ says the field may be left blank. If you want to use a particular referral arrangement, the same FAQ says the selection must be made during registration because an existing code cannot later be changed. Account-settings explanation.
Does an Apple relay address mean I used the wrong mailbox?
Not necessarily. Hide My Email creates a relay that forwards messages to the Apple-linked mailbox. Check both the registered relay and its forwarding destination before deciding you have lost access. Apple registration details.
Does reaching the dashboard mean identity verification is complete?
No. The registration guide sends the new account to the dashboard to begin identity verification. Check the verification status separately and follow the requirements displayed for your account. Dashboard and next step.
