Bybit KYC: complete identity checks and fix a rejected application
The short answer
To complete Bybit KYC, open Account, choose Verify Now under Identity Verification, enter your actual country of residence, and follow the identity-document and face-scan steps. Bybit's individual verification guide separates the process into Standard, Advanced and Pro levels; the documents you need depend on the level and any additional regional requirements shown for your account.
The Turkish search “bybit kyc nasıl yapılır” asks how to complete that process. This guide answers the practical question using Bybit's global help pages. It does not establish that a Turkish resident can use the global service. Start with the entity and requirements displayed in your own account, then prepare the documents for that specific application. Our Bybit profile provides a separate reference point for the venue.
Bybit's official guide identifies three sets of requirements. Standard combines proof of identity with an identity assessment. Advanced adds proof of address. Pro requires enhanced due diligence, including a questionnaire and evidence supporting income. Choose the correct country before uploading
The website instructions begin with the profile icon on the right side of the navigation bar. Open Account, find Identity Verification under Account Info, and select Verify Now. On the verification page, choose your current country of residence accurately. Bybit says that this selection can affect the process and that changing it after confirmation may require additional verification.
Keep residence and document issuer separate. Later, under Proof of Identity, the guide asks for the country or region that issued the identity document and the document type. Those fields answer different questions. A passport issuer does not tell the form where you currently live, and choosing a residence country does not change who issued your passport.
Before confirming, compare the selected country and document type with the document in your hand. If a field is wrong, correct it before taking photographs. Do not choose another country to make a document option appear. Where the account shows additional regional checks, use that account's instructions rather than importing a checklist from a different entity or language version.
The global FAQ discusses country restrictions, while the guide separately asks for residence. If the entity or country treatment is unclear, ask support about that specific account before submitting a financial transaction. Keep the question precise: identify the account entity, the residence field and the document-issuing country that need clarification.
Prepare a physical identity document and a clear photograph
For Proof of Identity, select Verify, choose the issuing country and document type, and photograph the requested document. Bybit's FAQ lists passports, identity cards, residence permits and driving licences among identity documents. It says the document must show a photograph, name, date of birth, document number and issue date. Use the document types offered for your application rather than assuming every listed type is accepted everywhere.
The FAQ says physical documents are required for identity verification and rejects electronic copies or scans. The guide also says document information must be clear and unmodified. These instructions describe photographing the physical identity document through the process; they do not support substituting a screenshot of a stored scan.
Bybit's failure guide lists blurred images, cropped documents, masked information, missing pages, glare and expired documents among rejection causes. Place the document where its details can be read, retain the edges requested on screen, and include every required side or page. Review the captured image before submitting it. If the photograph hides the date or cuts off a corner, retake that image rather than repeating the same upload.
Keep the name consistent through the application. Bybit's FAQ says Standard and Advanced verification must use the same name. That matters when the identity check and address check happen at different times: inspect both records instead of treating the later document as a fresh application under a different spelling.
Complete the face scan, then check the assessment status
The website guide allows the face scan through the laptop camera, or through a mobile device after scanning the displayed QR code. Follow the on-screen capture instructions. The failure guide tells users to centre their face, use a bright environment and ensure only one person is in the frame. The face must match the identity document submitted for that application.

If the face-recognition page cannot be reached after several attempts, the guide identifies unsuitable documents or too many submissions in a short period as possible causes. Its instruction is to try again after 30 minutes and contact support if the issue remains. This is a response to that particular failure, rather than an estimate of how long every application takes.
An identity assessment normally follows the proof-of-identity step automatically, according to the guide. Some users must complete an Identity Assessment Questionnaire. Enter accurate information and check the verification status bar after submission. Uploading a document alone does not show that the assessment has passed.
Bybit says users who fail the assessment cannot complete Standard verification and cannot access products requiring successful completion of that process. If your status still shows an incomplete assessment, address that status directly. Moving on to a different product screen does not supply the missing approval.
Address evidence comes after Standard verification
Bybit's guide says proof of address can be processed only after Standard verification is complete. For this stage, it names utility bills, bank statements and government-issued residential proof. The document must be dated within the last three months under the guide's instructions. The failure guide also says the applicant's name and full residential address must be clearly visible.
Check the document date before taking another photograph. A clear image cannot fix an old statement, and an account holder's name cannot be replaced by the name of another person living at the same address. Select a document that answers both questions: who is applying, and what residential address does the evidence identify?
The official pages contain different descriptions of some less common address-document categories. We therefore use the shared utility-bill, bank-statement and government-residential-proof examples here. For another category, follow the acceptable-document list displayed in your application or obtain clarification from support. A mismatch between two help lists is not a reason to invent an acceptance rule.
After submission, inspect the Identity Verification page again. The guide describes an eye icon for viewing submitted details and says Google Authenticator verification is required to view that information. If you spot a discrepancy, it directs users to submit a support case. Review the actual field that is wrong, rather than resubmitting unrelated documents.
Pro verification asks for income evidence
Pro adds enhanced due diligence. Bybit's guide instructs the user to select Verify, complete a questionnaire and provide supporting documents for proof of income. It does not provide a universal document list in its Pro instructions, so this guide does not invent salary, tax or bank-document requirements for every applicant.
Prepare the evidence requested for your case and keep it consistent with the questionnaire answers. If the page asks for something you cannot identify, ask support to explain that item before uploading an unrelated file. The useful question is which evidence answers the request in your application.
Completing enhanced due diligence also does not establish that every later transaction needs no further review. The official guide says additional documents may still be requested in rare cases when withdrawing funds or conducting fiat transactions. Treat a later request according to its stated purpose and the account's displayed process.
Read the rejection reason before trying again
Bybit's failure guide says users can inspect the verification result on the Identity Verification page through the question-mark icon. Start there. A document-quality problem, a face mismatch and an account-restriction decision require different responses.
For an invalid or unreadable document, retake the required photograph with the full name, date of birth and validity date visible. For a face-capture problem, check the lighting and framing before repeating the scan. For a missing page, supply that page. Each correction should correspond to the recorded reason.
The same guide says that an application denied more than five times within a 24-hour period should be retried after another 24 hours. Repeatedly uploading the unchanged rejected file therefore has a specific cost: it can postpone the next attempt. Read the reason first and correct the underlying issue.
Bybit's FAQ permits one KYC-verified account per person and says subaccounts cannot complete KYC independently. If an existing verified account causes a duplicate-identity result, use the official support or identity-transfer process identified in the FAQ. Creating more applications does not resolve that identity conflict.
Timing, support and the check after approval
The FAQ describes approximately 15 minutes as the general processing time, with some applications taking up to 48 hours because information verification is more complex. These are the source's processing estimates. If the process exceeds 48 hours, the FAQ directs users to submit a customer-support case. Keep the case number and describe the unresolved verification step.
After approval, inspect the actual account status and the product you intend to use. Bybit's fee page specifically directs users to My Fee Rate after identity verification for accurate account rates, and says actual rates can differ by region. KYC completion is therefore a useful point to check the account's own fee display before planning a transaction; this article does not assign a fee tier to your account.
Return to the Bybit account and venue profile if you need to separate general venue information from the status shown inside your application. For a pending or rejected check, keep the rejection reason, the document category and the last submission time together. That gives support a concrete problem to answer.
Quick answers
Do I need address evidence for the first level?
The official guide assigns proof of identity and the identity assessment to Standard. Proof of address belongs to Advanced and follows Standard completion. Additional regional checks can still appear in the account's process.
Can I use a scanned identity document?
The individual FAQ says physical identity documents are required and electronic copies or scans are not accepted. Photograph the physical document through the verification flow and follow the capture instructions.
Can a subaccount complete its own KYC?
The individual FAQ says KYC is available only for main accounts. A subaccount cannot complete a separate identity check; inspect the main account's verification status instead.
What should I check when verification stalls?
Check the status and rejection reason on Identity Verification, correct the specified issue, and observe the retry interval relevant to that error. For processing beyond 48 hours, the FAQ's route is a customer-support case.
