How to Deposit TRY on OKX TR: Your Own Bank Account, FAST and EFT
The short answer
To deposit Turkish lira on OKX TR, open the TRY deposit screen, select the bank route offered to your account and transfer from an individual TRY bank account registered in your own name. Check that the bank identity and TCKN match your verified OKX TR identity; the published 48-hour restriction concerns crypto withdrawals after the first transaction, rather than a general wait for TRY deposits to arrive.

Start with the Turkish bank-transfer task
A search for depositing money on OKX can lead to several different procedures. This guide concerns Turkish lira moving from your bank to OKX TR. A cryptocurrency network deposit, a card purchase and a payment to a P2P seller are separate tasks. Choosing the wrong guide can leave you checking a blockchain transaction when the relevant evidence is actually a bank transfer receipt.
Use the OKX profile to orient yourself, then open the Turkish service's own deposit screen for the transaction instructions. Our general OKX deposit guide explains other funding routes; its chain, card and P2P steps do not establish how a local TRY bank deposit works. In particular, do not assume that instructions or account details displayed for another OKX service apply to OKX TR.
The factual snapshot below was checked against the official Turkish app guide and English web guide, both showing an update date of 24 September 2026. We also checked the TRY service overview and cash-transfer procedure. No personal account, transfer or bank integration was tested for this article.
Check the sender before the amount
The English web guide accepts individual TRY bank accounts held in the account holder's own name. It excludes commercial accounts, joint accounts, foreign-currency accounts and accounts owned by somebody else. The same guide says deposits through credit cards, ATMs and electronic payment methods such as Papara, PTT, PayCell and Ininal will not be processed through this bank-deposit route.
A matching name is important, but the procedure also describes matching the Turkish identity number, TCKN, supplied by the bank with the verified identity in OKX TR. That means a receipt displaying a familiar surname alone is not enough to diagnose an identity problem. A relative transferring money for you does not turn their account into your own verified bank account.
Before sending anything, inspect the account's identity-verification status and the available deposit methods. The web guide says that an initial transfer of at least TRY 1 from the user's own bank account is part of verification and unlocking the deposit function. It also says payment options depend on the identity document provided. Read this as an account-specific process: it does not establish eligibility for every resident, foreign document or account type.
Which route fits your bank transfer?
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Route | Published operating condition | What to check before confirming |
|---|---|---|
| Havale | The operational guides list Ziraat Bankası, Vakıfbank, Fibabanka, Türkiye Finans and İş Bankası; service is described as available around the clock, subject to bank availability | Select the matching bank in the live deposit screen and use its current details |
| FAST | The web and app guides describe transfers of TRY 300,000 or less through FAST-supporting banks around the clock | Confirm the sending bank actually routes this payment through FAST and check its own limits |
| EFT | Larger transfers or transfers involving a bank without FAST support follow the business-hours route | The web guide lists weekdays 09:00–16:45, excluding public holidays; confirm processing with the bank |
The TRY 300,000 figure is the routing threshold stated in the deposit instructions. It is not a promise that your account or bank allows that amount. The separate service overview discusses broader daily and monthly limits and says current maximums appear when a deposit or withdrawal is initiated. Do not confuse an aggregate account limit with the amount a single FAST payment can carry.
There is also a source difference worth preserving. The cash-transfer procedure lists Şekerbank among banks used by the company, while the operational app and web instructions name the five Havale banks above. Those documents do not establish that every listed custody or banking relationship appears as an available Havale deposit option in your account. Use the live screen; we do not infer an additional supported route from the longer list.
Follow the app or web sequence
Check regional eligibility and account terms
Open →On the app, the Turkish instructions start with the menu icon, then the asset-management area, Deposit and Deposit TRY. Select the bank, read the warnings and continue to the account details. Interface labels can change, so identify the TRY bank-deposit task before copying anything rather than relying on a remembered button position.
On the web, the official sequence starts in Assets, then Deposit, then Turkish lira. After the bank choice, the screen provides the bank information; the guide describes copying the IBAN or scanning the QR code into online banking. The payment still has to be initiated and confirmed at your bank. Opening the exchange's instruction screen is not evidence that money has left the bank.
Work through this checklist before authorizing the transfer:
- Confirm that the sender is your eligible personal TRY account and that its identity matches the exchange account.
- Read the current receiving details from your own OKX TR deposit screen, not an old receipt, social message or this article.
- Compare the recipient, IBAN, currency and amount in the banking app with that screen.
- Check the bank's displayed route, fee and intended processing time before confirming.
- Keep the bank receipt and review both the bank status and the OKX TR deposit history afterward.
Do not copy a public legal document's IBAN simply because it appears official. The task is to follow the instructions shown for the selected route in your own session. This also avoids accidentally using stale bank information when the available options change.
The 48-hour crypto hold is a different clock
Both operational guides describe a temporary 48-hour restriction on crypto withdrawals after the first transaction. They distinguish it from buying and selling and from TRY deposit and withdrawal functions. They tell users to consult the asset-withdrawal page for the release date and time and say this procedure does not have an exception route.
The practical distinction is between money arriving and cryptocurrency leaving. A TRY deposit may be reflected in the account while a subsequent crypto transfer remains restricted. Conversely, if TRY has not arrived, merely waiting for the crypto release timer does not check whether the original bank payment was eligible or processed.
The notice is not an assurance that every other operation will always be available. The cash-transfer procedure separately describes identity, risk, legal and account checks. For your own transaction, use the actual restriction message and release timestamp. We cannot derive a personal release time, a reset rule or the effect of every later transaction from the public first-transaction notice.
Diagnose a missing deposit in the right order
First, open the bank payment record. Distinguish a completed transfer from a scheduled instruction or a rejected payment. If an EFT instruction was entered outside banking hours, the web guide says the bank processes it on the next business day and directs questions about bank processing to the bank. Submitting another payment does not make that original instruction complete.
Next, examine the sender and identity. A joint, commercial, third-party or foreign-currency account does not fit the individual TRY route described above. If funds were returned, the official FAQ names a TCKN mismatch as a possible reason and says other rejection reasons may appear in transaction history or email. Do not assume every return has the same cause.
Then compare the expected rail with the actual rail. A qualifying FAST payment and an EFT payment entered at the same time can have different processing windows. The web FAQ describes eligible deposits as generally immediate, with rare cases taking up to 20 minutes. That is an operational description, not a guarantee for an ineligible account or an EFT outside its processing window.
Finally, collect the useful evidence before contacting official support: UID, bank receipt, timestamp, amount, sending bank, selected deposit route and the status or rejection message. The web guide specifically requests UID and transfer proof for escalation. Send identity or transaction material through the official support channel reached independently from the platform, rather than publishing it in a public comment. No password or authentication code is needed to explain the payment record.
Fees and the decision to proceed
The service overview lists no platform charge for these TRY deposit and withdrawal channels, while noting that banks may charge transfer fees. Check the bank's confirmation screen; a platform fee table does not cancel a separate bank fee. No particular bank fee, refund timetable or account-specific limit was verified here.
If the sender matches, the route is available and you understand its processing window, use the current deposit instructions to proceed deliberately. If the mismatch is in ownership or identity, resolve that before sending more funds. Revisit the OKX profile and the broader deposit explainer when choosing a different funding task, while keeping Turkish bank instructions tied to OKX TR.
Quick answers
Can another person deposit TRY for me?
The personal bank-deposit guide requires your own individual TRY account. A payment from a friend or family member does not meet that rule, even if the exchange account belongs to you.
Can I use FAST at the weekend?
The official guides describe FAST-supported transfers of TRY 300,000 or less as available around the clock. Your bank's availability, payment routing and personal limits still need checking.
Does the 48-hour notice mean my lira deposit is frozen?
That specific notice describes crypto withdrawals, not a blanket TRY deposit hold. Check the bank payment and deposit history separately from the crypto-withdrawal release screen.
Does a listed company bank guarantee an available deposit option?
No. The longer bank list in the cash procedure differs from the operational Havale list. Confirm the route actually displayed to your account.
What remains unverified?
We did not verify an individual's account eligibility, live bank transfer, current per-account limit, bank charge, refund deadline or personal release timestamp. Public instructions also do not resolve every identity-document or later-transaction scenario; those require the account's own screen or official support.
