Silver Contracts Rise About 2%: XAG Prices and Order Checks on Bitget and OKX
The short answer
Silver-linked contracts showed gains of about 2% over their rolling 24-hour reference on October 28. At 14:44:33 SGT, Bitget's XAGUSDT ticker showed 53.93 USDT and a reported change of 2.044%; OKX's XAG-USDT-SWAP showed 53.95 USDT against a 24-hour opening reference of 52.86, a calculated gain of about 2.06%. For a trader considering either market, the immediate check is the exact contract, its quantity unit and the order preview in the account that will place the trade.
These are separate exchange observations. An earlier Odaily silver dispatch, published at 09:00 SGT, quoted Gate data at $54.372 per ounce with a 0.39% intraday rise. That earlier figure uses a different source, observation time and reference period. It cannot be substituted for either exchange contract's rolling change.

What the two order books showed
Bitget's public USDT futures ticker returned XAGUSDT with a last price of 53.93, a bid of 53.93 and an ask of 53.94. Its reported 24-hour high was 54.66 and its low was 52.79. The reported change field was 0.02044; multiplying by 100 gives the 2.044% used here. The observation timestamp converts to 14:44:33 SGT on October 28.
OKX's public swaps ticker returned XAG-USDT-SWAP with a last price of 53.95, a bid of 53.94 and an ask of 53.95. The same row gave a 24-hour high of 54.66 and a low of 52.80. Its opening reference was 52.86. The calculation is (53.95 − 52.86) ÷ 52.86 × 100, or approximately 2.0621%.
The official ticker sources are the Bitget public API at api.bitget.com/api/v2/mix/market/tickers?productType=USDT-FUTURES and the OKX public API at www.okx.com/api/v5/market/tickers?instType=SWAP. They describe the sampled markets. Account access still needs to be checked in the platform where a reader trades.
The last prices differed by 0.02 USDT: 53.95 − 53.93. That subtraction alone is insufficient to describe a trading opportunity. The sampled ask and bid are more relevant to an immediate order, and the amount available at a quote matters too. Keep the exchange name beside every number when comparing screens.
For example, buying at the sampled Bitget ask would use 53.94 as the displayed starting quote, while selling at the sampled OKX bid would also start at 53.94. Even before considering any other conditions, the two last prices do not describe those two executable sides. An actual order preview must supply the price and quantity relevant to that order.
A rolling gain can coexist with a fall since midnight
The Bitget row also included an opening reference of 54.58 for UTC midnight and a change from that reference of −0.01191. Expressed as a percentage, the latter is approximately −1.191%. UTC midnight corresponds to 08:00 SGT. The ticker therefore showed a rolling 24-hour gain alongside a decline from a more recent daily reference.
OKX likewise returned 54.57 for its UTC-midnight reference. Comparing the sampled 53.95 last price with that figure gives (53.95 − 54.57) ÷ 54.57 × 100, approximately −1.14%. Its UTC+8 midnight reference was 54.63, which produces another comparison again.
This is why a headline saying silver is up about 2% can sit beside an exchange screen showing a negative daily change. Read the reference period before deciding that either number is wrong. Save the opening reference with the last price if you want to reproduce the calculation later.

The same caution applies to the earlier Odaily update. Its 0.39% intraday reading and the exchange snapshots answer different questions. The dispatch supplies a same-day silver-market observation; it does not confirm that a particular contract rose 0.39% over the exchange's rolling window.
No opened source in this article establishes the cause of the sampled move. There is no basis here to attribute it to a particular Federal Reserve decision, currency move or industrial-demand report. The useful event is the observed change and the trading checks that follow from the actual contract data.
The contract identifiers matter before quantity
Bitget's official contract endpoint identified XAGUSDT as a perpetual contract with XAG as its base coin and USDT as its quote coin. Its supported margin coin was USDT and its symbol status was normal. Those fields support describing this specific silver-linked market, without turning a public listing into a statement about every reader's account.
The same specification returned a minimum trade quantity of 0.01, a quantity multiplier of 0.01 and two decimal places for quantity. Before entering an amount, compare the quantity label on the screen with the specification. Copying a number from another platform without checking its unit can produce an order of a different size.
OKX's official instrument endpoint identified XAG-USDT-SWAP as a live linear swap settled in USDT. It specified a contract value of 0.01 XAG, a multiplier of 1, a minimum size of 1 and a lot size of 1. Its price tick was 0.01. These fields give a concrete reason to check the number of contracts separately from the amount of XAG they represent.
Using those OKX fields, an illustrative quantity of 100 contracts represents 100 × 0.01 XAG × 1 = 1 XAG of contract quantity. This is arithmetic on the published specification. It does not establish physical delivery or ownership of a bar of silver. Read the product description for the exact instrument you intend to use.
The specification sources are api.bitget.com/api/v2/mix/market/contracts?productType=USDT-FUTURES and www.okx.com/api/v5/public/instruments?instType=SWAP&instId=XAG-USDT-SWAP. The Bitget record and the OKX record use different field structures. The order screen must resolve how each platform asks a user to enter size.
Read the price range without inventing a path
Bitget's sampled high and low were 1.87 apart: 54.66 − 52.79. The last price of 53.93 was 0.73 below that reported high and 1.14 above the low. On OKX, the high-to-low difference was 1.86, while the last price was 0.71 below the high and 1.15 above the low.
Those differences help place the sampled quote inside the reported range. They do not show which extreme came first, how long the market stayed at either price or the sequence of trades between them. A ticker row is insufficient to reconstruct an intraday chart. Avoid calling the snapshot a rebound or a rejection of the high without a time series supporting that description.
If you are checking an existing order, compare its price with the present bid and ask in the same market. Then inspect the quantity and remaining unfilled amount in your account. The headline's rounded percentage does not tell you whether your specific order has executed.
For an existing position, bring its entry information and account margin display onto the same screen as the contract identifier. The market's rolling change is measured from its reference price, while your position starts from your own entry. A positive 24-hour market reading cannot establish your personal result.
What this means for you
Start with the Bitget exchange profile if you are reviewing that venue, then the OKX exchange profile for the second market. Inside your existing account, search the exact identifier from the specification. Confirm that the product type and settlement asset match the intended trade before entering size.
Open the contract details and compare the quantity unit with the order ticket. For OKX, the sampled specification's 0.01 XAG contract value gives you a calculation to reproduce. For Bitget, use the quantity and multiplier fields alongside the label on its own screen. Do not assume the same numeral means the same order on both platforms.
Next read the order preview, including the selected side, amount and any charges displayed for that account. This article makes no fee-rate comparison. If you are modifying an existing position, inspect the account's current margin and liquidation information before confirming the change. The public ticker cannot supply those account-specific figures.
Record the quote time if you save the comparison. The observations here are fixed at 14:44:33 SGT; an order screen opened later supplies a new observation. A meaningful comparison keeps both its price and its time, rather than replacing one number while retaining an older percentage.
The Bitget market overview and OKX market overview can serve as internal starting points for venue research. Current product permission belongs to the account and the exact product screen. Neither public API response establishes universal geographic availability or individual eligibility.
Questions the snapshot can answer
How much did the sampled silver contracts rise?
Bitget reported 2.044% over its rolling 24-hour window. OKX's last price and opening reference produce approximately 2.06%. The difference reflects separate observations and reference inputs, so the headline rounds the result to about 2%.
Why does the earlier news report show 0.39%?
Odaily quoted Gate's intraday silver reading at 09:00 SGT. The exchange contract rows were sampled at 14:44:33 SGT and compare with their own rolling references. Preserve each figure's venue, time and reference period.
What should an existing XAG trader inspect next?
Open the exact contract held in the account, inspect its current price and quantity unit, and compare the position with the account's margin information. For a new order, read the final order preview after entering the intended size. The cause of the sampled move and each reader's product access remain unestablished by the public snapshots.
