Binance P2P fees for BRL payments: up to 0.35%, and the public ad list came back empty

6 min

The short answer

Binance states P2P fees of 0% to 0.35% depending on the market and pair, and it named BRL among the markets for a 0.1% to 0.2% taker fee on Lite and the Express zone. On R$1,000 that is at most R$3.50. The larger question for Brazilian users today is whether a peer ad exists at all: Binance's public ad search returned 0 BRL ads at 12:44 and again at 12:48 SGT on November 7, while MXN returned 171 and 172.

That does not prove your logged-in app shows none. It does mean we cannot quote you a P2P price, so open the P2P zone yourself and compare what you see with the USDT/BRL spot ask, which was R$5.5463.

What Binance publishes about the fee

The merchant guidelines say Binance charges makers and takers, with rates "from 0% to 0.35%, depending on fiat markets and trading pairs". Maker fees date from July 2021 and taker fees from September 2023.

The September 2023 announcement lists BRL among the fiat markets moving to a taker fee on Binance Lite and the P2P Express zone, at 0.1% to 0.2%. Three years have passed since then, and we could not open the current BRL row of Binance's fee table. Read the fee line on your order screen and treat these figures as the published range.

The P2P introduction adds that payment providers may charge separately. A Pix sent from your own bank may be free or not, and Binance's screen will not show that cost.

BRL stayed at 0 when we filtered by Pix, set Brazil as the country, entered an amount, switched to selling and asked for BTC. Binance's own configuration for BRL still lists a P2P zone, with USDT, BTC, USDC, FDUSD, BNB, ETH, DOGE and SOL, and with Pix, PicPay, Mercado Pago and PagSeguro among the payment methods. So the market is configured and the public list is empty. We found no Binance statement explaining the gap.

Two readings fit these facts. BRL ads may be visible only to logged-in accounts in some regions, or there may be none on the public book right now. We tested from outside Brazil without an account and cannot tell which applies to you. If your app shows ads, the arithmetic below still works: put the ad price in place of the prices in the table.

What R$1,000 buys on the routes we could price

With no Binance ad to price, we compared spot books and the BRL ads other venues show publicly. All prices come from one snapshot at about 12:44 SGT.

The spot fee is the 0.1% taker rate in our partner registry. Bybit's P2P fee page says currencies absent from its table carry no transaction fee, and BRL was absent when we read it. We explained that rule in our Bybit BRL article. The OKX ad accepted Pix for R$100 to R$4,259.58, but we did not open its fee schedule, so its figure excludes any fee.

Binance spot beat Bybit's cheapest ad by 0.81 USDT here, a small gap. Depth separates the books more clearly: Binance's USDT/BRL pair traded about R$427 million in 24 hours and OKX's about R$88.4 million, against R$963,644 on Bitget. On Bybit we saw 11 ads for a R$1,000 buy, and OKX returned 8.

All these prices sit above the official dollar. Brazil's central bank set the PTAX selling rate at R$5.5013 on November 6, and Binance's ask was about 0.82% higher. PTAX is the previous day's rate and USDT is not a dollar, so this is a reference point and we would not read it as a fee.

Getting reais in and out

Spot needs reais in your account first. Binance's BRL FAQ lists free deposits and a R$3.50 withdrawal fee for personal accounts, and says the withdrawal fee can change. Corporate accounts show free withdrawals.

  • Pix runs 24/7 and credits instantly, though Binance says it can take a few hours when systems are unstable. A Pix deposit order must be paid within 24 hours.
  • TED runs Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00, clears in up to one business day, and must be paid within 72 hours.
  • Name match. Binance's deposit guide accepts only accounts linked to your own CPF or CNPJ, with a name matching your Binance account.
  • Limits. Level 1 personal accounts show USD 10,000 a month and USD 20,000 a semester, and these cover deposits, withdrawals, buys and sells combined.

The return trip shows why the exit matters. Buy on Binance spot with R$1,000, sell straight back at the R$5.5462 bid, pay 0.1% each way and withdraw for R$3.50, and you end with about R$994.48, a cost of R$5.52 or 0.55%. Using Bybit's cheapest ads, buy at R$5.577 and sell at R$5.481 and you end with R$982.79, a cost of R$17.21 or 1.72%, before any Pix charge.

How to check your own cost

  1. Open the P2P zone in your Binance app and enter your exact amount in reais. If no ads appear, you have your answer and can use the spot route.
  2. If ads appear, filter by Pix or the method you will really use, then read the seller's terms. Binance's buying guide tells you to do this before placing an order.
  3. Divide the reais you pay by the USDT you receive, and compare the result with the USDT/BRL spot ask plus the 0.1% fee, about R$5.5519 in this snapshot.
  4. Add the fee line from the order screen and any charge from your bank.
  5. Mark the order paid only after you have paid. Cancelling carries a limit too: Binance says three cancelled orders in a day suspend your buy function for that day.

Binance has also had withdrawal disruption since its October security incident. If you plan to move coins out after buying, read our withdrawal state checks and confirm the network is open before you buy for that purpose.

Where a fee rebate changes the numbers

A rebate applies to the trading fee, so it is small on one order. On R$1,000 of spot, the 0.1% fee is R$1.00. Bitget with code nexu888 returns 60% of it, or R$0.60, paid daily per our registry. Binance with code 11350287 returns 25%, or R$0.25, paid hourly. Bitget's R$0.60 did not close its price gap in this snapshot, since Binance still delivered about 0.53 USDT more after both rebates, so compare the book price first. We did not confirm that either rebate covers P2P orders. Our OKX Pix article covers the deposit side at that venue, where each user now needs an individual Pix key.

Quick answers

Does Binance charge a fee on BRL P2P orders?

Binance's published range is 0% to 0.35%, with 0.1% to 0.2% announced for takers on Lite and Express in BRL. We could not open the current BRL row, so your order screen is the final word.

Are there BRL ads on Binance P2P today?

The public search returned 0 at both checks on November 7, while four other currencies returned more than 100. A logged-in account in Brazil may see something different.

Is depositing reais by Pix free on Binance?

Binance's FAQ lists deposits as free for personal and corporate accounts. Your own bank could still charge, so check its terms.

What we could not verify

We did not log in or place a test order, and we ran no test from a Brazilian connection. We did not open Binance's live fee table, and the BRL FAQ does not show when its fee rows were last changed. Bybit's payment codes were not mapped to named methods, so we cannot say which of its ads accept Pix.
