Bitget XAGUSDT at 52.21: Silver Perpetuals Extend the Earlier Decline
The short answer
Bitget's XAGUSDT silver perpetual last traded at 52.21 USDT at 02:09 SGT on October 30, with its ticker reporting a 2.648% decline over 24 hours. OKX's XAG-USDT-SWAP also showed 52.21 USDT seconds later; its own opening reference produces a 2.61% decline. These are later contract observations following our earlier report on silver's 2.63% intraday fall, rather than a new claim that the underlying metal fell by exactly the same percentage. Bitget's public contract ticker.
The new information is the later price and each venue's measurement window. For a reader holding a silver position, compare the exact contract, opening reference and timestamp before changing an order. A matching last price across two venues does not make their daily returns identical. OKX's XAG-USDT-SWAP ticker.

Two contracts meet at the same price
The Bitget response carried a timestamp of 02:09:04 SGT. It showed a last price of 52.21, a 24-hour opening price of 53.63, a high of 54.71 and a low of 52.10. The quoted bid was 52.20 and the ask was 52.21. Its reported percentage change, converted from the API's decimal representation, was minus 2.648%. That is the return of this contract over the venue's stated window. Bitget ticker fields.
The OKX response, timestamped 02:09:06 SGT, showed the same last price and the same bid and ask. Its opening reference was 53.61, however, and its 24-hour high was 54.72. Its low was 52.10. Using the returned prices gives (52.21 ÷ 53.61 − 1) × 100 = approximately −2.61%. The two opening references explain why an equal current price can sit beside different percentage changes. | Snapshot, October 30 SGT | Last price | 24-hour reference |
|---|---|---|
| Bitget XAGUSDT, 02:09:04 | 52.21 USDT | Open 53.63; reported change −2.648% |
| OKX XAG-USDT-SWAP, 02:09:06 | 52.21 USDT | Open 53.61; calculated change approximately −2.61% |
The table combines the two official ticker responses cited above. It does not average the prices into a separate silver benchmark. Readers comparing screenshots should keep the timestamp visible: even a short interval separates the two responses, and each represents its own market.
One useful check is to copy the opening reference along with the last price. Copying only the red percentage drops the denominator needed to reproduce the move. On Bitget, the response also supplied an opening value at the UTC day boundary of 54.01 and a separate change field for that reference. Treating that field as the rolling 24-hour return would answer a different question. Bitget's separate opening and change fields.

Yahoo Finance's chart response identified SI=F as a futures instrument, with the short name “Silver Dec 26” and COMEX as the full exchange name. Its latest displayed market price was $52.075, against a previous close of $53.666. The response's percentage-change field was −2.964%. This supports the observation that the December futures quote was also lower, but does not turn it into the Bitget or OKX contract. Yahoo Finance's SI=F chart response.
That response's market timestamp was 01:58:55 SGT on October 30, earlier than the two perpetual snapshots. Keep that distinction when comparing $52.075 with 52.21 USDT. One is a dated futures quote in US dollars; the other figures are prices from USDT contract markets at a later time. The opened data does not isolate how much of the difference comes from time, contract design or currency conversion. Yahoo's instrument and timestamp metadata.
The original news item is a third measurement. Odaily reported silver at $52.228 an ounce, down 2.63% intraday, at 21:31 SGT on October 29, attributing the figures to Gate data. That remains a report about its quoted source and time. A later futures comparison does not replace the percentage reported for that earlier observation. Odaily's original market report.
For a reader trying to reconstruct the evening, the clean sequence is the original intraday report, then the later December futures observation, then the two perpetual observations. The figures establish successive observations across different instruments. They do not establish one continuous, venue-independent price series, and they do not identify the reason for the decline.
Verify the product before using the percentage
The current Bitget contract response identifies XAGUSDT as a perpetual, with XAG as the base coin and USDT as the quote coin. Its status was “normal,” and the supported margin coin was USDT. This is direct product evidence rather than an assumption drawn from the letters XAG in a news headline. It establishes the public instrument record, without establishing access for any particular account. Bitget's official contract specifications.
OKX's instrument response identified XAG-USDT-SWAP as a live linear swap settling in USDT. It listed a contract value of 0.01 XAG and a tick size of 0.01. Those fields matter when checking an order's units. Do not copy a quantity between order screens until you have compared what one displayed unit represents in each product. OKX's official instrument record.
OKX's commodity guide describes its silver product as referencing silver spot prices. The same guide distinguishes precious metals from commodity products that reference delivery contracts. That gives a specific reason to keep the SI=F December contract separate in a comparison, even though all three instruments are related to silver. OKX's commodity perpetuals guide.
Before acting, open the exact product already used in your account and compare its symbol with these records. Read the margin and order quantity fields in that screen, then check whether the order you intend to change belongs to that same instrument. The public “normal” or “live” field is useful confirmation of the product record; account permissions still require a check in the account itself.
Price movement and funding are separate checks
Bitget's ticker showed a funding-rate field of 0.000183. Its contract record listed a four-hour funding interval. These are fields from the later snapshot and the specification response; they are not a promise that the next settlement will use an unchanged rate. Check the actual rate and settlement countdown shown beside the existing position before making a decision that depends on carrying cost. Bitget's funding-rate snapshot.
The exchange's opened commodity notice explains why “zero interest component” does not mean “zero funding.” It says the base interest component for specified metals and commodity perpetuals, including XAGUSDT, was reduced to zero from May 6, 2026, at 20:00 SGT. The notice still describes the premium as a component of the funding calculation. A reader should therefore use the actual funding record, rather than infer a free holding period from the older announcement's headline. Bitget's funding-component notice.
OKX's guide says funding is charged only if a position is held at settlement, and that the settlement interval can vary by product. It directs users to the individual contract specifications for the current schedule. The same guide explains that positive premium conditions can lead longs to pay shorts, with the opposite direction when the perpetual trades below its index. None of that lets this article infer the next OKX funding payment from Bitget's rate. OKX's funding explanation.
What a silver holder can check now
- Start with any open order rather than the news headline. Confirm whether its symbol is XAGUSDT or XAG-USDT-SWAP, copy its price and quantity, and compare the screen's latest quote with the corresponding official market above. If you are using the 24-hour percentage to reassess an order, retain the opening reference as well. That keeps an intraday news number from silently becoming the benchmark for a different contract.
- Next, check the account's position details, including margin and any displayed liquidation threshold. OKX states that commodity perpetuals follow the margin, funding and liquidation rules of other swaps of the same margin type unless its guide specifies otherwise. An equal last price in the two public feeds does not establish equal margin requirements or equal room before liquidation in two accounts. OKX's product rules.
For the next update, compare a fresh snapshot of the same symbol with this one, using the same return field. Keep changes in the underlying futures quote separate. The opened reports establish lower silver-related prices and the contract records; they do not establish a specific macroeconomic catalyst, a trading opportunity, or a future price path.
Does a matching bid and ask mean the same execution?
The observed bid of 52.20 and ask of 52.21 imply a quoted difference of 0.01 USDT in each snapshot: 52.21 − 52.20 = 0.01. That calculation uses the displayed prices, rather than an estimate of the cost for your intended quantity. Keep the quantity in the order preview when checking the price available for a specific instruction. The matching quoted prices do not verify the execution of an order that has not been submitted. Bitget's bid and ask snapshot.
There is another comparison available in the same response. The last price of 52.21 was 0.11 USDT above the reported 24-hour low of 52.10: 52.21 − 52.10 = 0.11. This describes the distance between two fields in the snapshot. It does not describe an account's loss, because that requires the actual position's entry price and quantity. Nor does it establish when the low occurred or the path taken afterwards. When recording a position review, keep this low separate from the 53.63 opening reference used for the daily change.
