Binance Spot Trading Tournament Season 6: How to Join the 2.3 Million FF Contest on SUI/USDC and FF/USDT, and What $500 of Volume Really Pays

7 min

The short answer

Binance Spot Trading Tournament Season 6 runs from 15 October 2026 10:00 UTC to 22 October 10:00 UTC (18:00 SGT on 22 October). To qualify you click Join Now on the landing page and trade at least $500 in SUI/USDC or FF/USDT on Binance Spot before the end; Falcon Finance (FF) token vouchers worth 2,300,000 FF, about $235,000 at today's $0.1023, are shared out by cumulative volume rank. The top five get 69,000 to 23,000 FF each, but everyone outside the top 1,000 splits a 460,000 FF pool in proportion to volume, capped at 350 FF (about $36) per person, so a plain $500 participant is likely to collect a few dollars at most. The contest is not open to users in the European Economic Area.

The rules in one place

Everything below comes from Binance's own announcement of 15 October 2026 and is dated to this morning's numbers where we add prices.

  • Who can join: verified new, regular and VIP 1 to 6 users. Liquidity providers in the Binance Spot Liquidity Provider Program and Binance Brokers are excluded, and the announcement carries the line "This is not available for users in the EEA". Product availability in your country still applies.
  • Eligible pairs: SUI/USDC and FF/USDT only. Volume in BRL, USDT-quoted SUI or any other pair does not count.
  • How to enter: press the Join Now button on the landing page. Volume is counted after you opt in, across your master and sub-accounts and across spot trading, spot copy trading and trading bots; API trades are allowed.
  • Minimum: $500 of cumulative volume in the eligible pairs. Below that, no reward at all.
  • What does not count: volume on any zero-fee pair, and transaction or gas fees. Both buys and sells count toward the total.
  • Payout: token vouchers are distributed by 5 November 2026, appear under Profile > Rewards Hub and expire within 21 days after distribution. The reward's dollar value moves with the FF price.
  • Leaderboard: updated at least once every 24 hours; only users above the $500 threshold are displayed.

How the 2.3 million FF is split

The prize money sits in two stacked pools. A user can win from both at once.

The per-person figures for ranks 6 onward are our arithmetic from Binance's totals, assuming every place in a band is filled. The Sprint rounds are separate 48-hour windows: Round 1 ran from 15 October 10:00 to 17 October 10:00 UTC and has finished; Round 2 runs from 17 October 10:01 to 19 October 10:00 UTC, which is 18:00 SGT today, so it ends in roughly 13 hours. The five Sprint prizes in each round are the same amounts as the top five main prizes, which makes 460,000 FF of the total.

What the pairs are doing

Binance's public tickers at 04:49 SGT on 19 October show SUI/USDC at $0.9449, down 4.7% in 24 hours on $59.4 million of volume, with a day range of $0.9362 to $0.9955, a 6.3% swing. FF/USDT was $0.1023, down 2.3%, with only $1.06 million of 24-hour volume and about $5,700 of resting orders on each side within roughly 0.25% of the price.

The contest has visibly changed how much SUI/USDC trades. Daily quote volume on the pair averaged about $8.4 million from 9 to 14 October. It jumped to $188.6 million on 15 October, the day the contest began, then $54.6 million on the 16th, $220.1 million on the 17th and $56.5 million so far on the 18th. Added up, that is roughly $486 million above the earlier daily average over four days, our arithmetic from Binance daily candles. That is every trader on the pair, not only entrants, but it shows how much volume is chasing the leaderboard. SUI itself fell about 7.5% from the 14 October close of $1.0217 to $0.9454 on the 18th, so volume farmers have been trading into a falling price.

FF/USDT had a quieter pattern: about $0.7 million to $1.7 million a day in the week before, a $10.9 million spike on 15 October, and about $1 million a day since. On a $1 million market, a $500 order is meaningful but not disruptive, and the spread is tight at 0.05% (bid $0.10228, ask $0.10233).

What $500 of volume really pays

The $500 gate is easy; the reward for stopping there is the real question. Anyone ranked below 1,000th receives their volume / total volume of everyone ranked after 1,000th × 460,000 FF, capped at 350 FF. Binance does not publish that total, so here is what the formula gives for $500 of volume at different tail sizes, valued at $0.1023:

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

Total volume of everyone ranked after 1,000thFF you receiveValue
$657,000 or less350 (cap)$35.82
$5 million46$4.71
$20 million11.5$1.18
$50 million4.6$0.47
$100 million2.3$0.24
$300 million0.77$0.08

The cost side is the 0.10% regular-user spot fee on each trade, so $500 of volume is $0.50 in fees, or $0.375 if 25% is returned through a referral. The break-even tail volume is about $47 million. Given that SUI/USDC alone traded roughly $486 million above normal in four days, the tail is probably well above that, which puts the expected payout for a minimum-volume participant under the fee, not over it. The cap of 350 FF is only reachable if the post-1,000th tail trades less than $657,000, which looks very unlikely given the pair's volume.

The real cost is price risk, not fees. SUI moved 6.3% inside one day; $250 of SUI held through that range is a $16 swing, more than 30 times the fee on the round trip. If you trade for the minimum, buy and sell back within minutes with limit orders rather than carrying inventory.

The leaderboard bands that matter

The money is in the rank bands. Rank 1,000 gets about $41 and rank 200 about $251, but where those cut-offs sit is unknown until the leaderboard shows it. Binance shows volume only for users above $500, and the leaderboard refreshes at least daily, so the practical move is to join, check the board once, and see what volume the 1,000th place needs. If the 1,000th volume is a few thousand dollars, a day of disciplined limit-order churn can buy a $41 equal-split slot; if it is hundreds of thousands, it cannot. Do not guess: the number is on the board.

How to join, step by step

  1. Check that your account is verified and enabled for Spot, and that you are not in the EEA.
  2. Open the Season 6 landing page from the Binance announcement and press Join Now. Volume before you opt in does not count.
  3. Fund the account with USDC or USDT. If you start from fiat, remember fiat-quoted pairs such as SUI/BRL do not count; convert to a stablecoin first.
  4. Open SUI/USDC or FF/USDT in Spot and place limit orders at the touch. Use SUI/USDC for depth; use FF/USDT only if you want the FF itself.
  5. Check the trade screen for the fee on your pair. If it shows zero, that volume will not count under the rules.
  6. Look at the leaderboard after 24 hours and decide whether to keep going.
  7. After the contest, watch Profile > Rewards Hub from 5 November and redeem within 21 days.

How to act on this

If you were going to trade SUI or FF anyway, join: it costs nothing and adds a small chance of a voucher. If you are new to Binance and the plan is to trade regularly, opening the account with referral code 11350287 returns 25% of your trading fees, so the fee on every contest round trip falls by a quarter; see the Binance profile for the sign-up route and the activities page for other live campaigns. The previous contests are written up in Season 5 and Season 4, which show the same pattern of a flat per-user cap on the proportional pool.
