Bitget KYC Supported Countries and Verification Requirements
The short answer
Bitget KYC requires your country of residence, your ID's issuing country, matching personal information, document photos and facial verification. Its Terms of Use, updated October 20, 2026 and checked for this article on October 29 SGT, prohibit users connected to specified jurisdictions; a country appearing in a verification dropdown does not establish eligibility to trade. Start with the country restrictions, then select the document types actually offered for your residence and issuing country.
Bitget's official individual-verification FAQ says identity verification is required for core services including crypto deposits and trading. The website guide explains the application screens. Read those instructions alongside the eligibility section of the terms: submitting an identity document and qualifying to use a particular service are separate checks. The Bitget.com exchange profile is the relevant NexuAlpha starting page for comparing the venue after those checks.

Which countries does Bitget restrict?
The opened Terms of Use define “Prohibited Countries” and “Restricted Person.” The definition covers people who reside, are established or have operations in prohibited locations, as well as people covered by specified restrictions. The terms also require an individual to be at least 18 and prohibit access where the services are not permitted, restricted or illegal. These are the exchange's stated conditions, rather than a country-by-country legal assessment by NexuAlpha.
The October 20 terms name Austria, Belarus, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, North Korea, Russia, Singapore and Sudan. They also name the United States and specified U.S. territories and outlying islands. The remaining named locations are Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Lebanon, Somalia, South Sudan and Thailand. For Ukraine, the listed restriction is limited to Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
That regional qualification matters. Describing the Ukraine entry as a restriction on all of Ukraine would change what the source says. Similarly, the U.S. entry expressly includes territories and outlying islands, so checking only whether “United States” appears beside a residence field would miss part of the definition. Read the complete country definition in the terms before making an eligibility decision.
A location absent from this list cannot automatically be labelled a supported country. The definition allows Bitget to designate other locations, and the eligibility provisions also refer to applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The sources opened for this article do not provide an exhaustive positive list promising every service to every other country. For a reader outside the named locations, the next check is the actual verification form and the terms of the intended product.

Residence and document issuer are different fields
The website guide asks you to choose both “Country/Region of Residence” and “Issuing Country/Region,” followed by an ID type. Use the facts that apply to you in each field. A passport issuer and a current residence answer different questions; entering them accurately lets the form show the relevant document options.
Bitget explicitly says accepted ID types may vary by country. The guide does not justify a universal promise that a passport, national identity card or driving licence will be accepted everywhere. Use the document choices shown after the two country fields are selected. If your intended document is absent, resolve that question through support rather than choose a different country to make an option appear.
The full name must match the identity document. The guide's example places a middle name after the first name in the First Name field, with the surname in Last Name. Apply the underlying instruction, matching the document, to your own name. Do not copy the example's name or abbreviate your legal name simply to get past the screen.

Enter the code when you sign up: nexu888
- Open the profile menu and select Identity Verification. Choose Verify under Individual Verification.
- Select the actual residence and document-issuing country. Choose an available ID type and continue.
- Enter the full name as it appears on the document, including the middle name where applicable.
- Scan the generated QR code with your mobile device. Enable camera access and follow the document-photo instructions.
- Complete the facial prompts and submit. Return to Identity Verification and check that the displayed application state is Under Review. If support is needed, include the UID requested in the official help instructions.
The guide calls for clear, uncropped document images. For facial verification, it recommends a plain white background, good lighting and avoiding backlighting. Keep your face centred and remove hats, glasses or other accessories that obstruct it. Follow the displayed movement prompts, which the guide illustrates with turning your head or blinking.
Prepare the document and camera before starting so you can work through these screens without changing information midway. Check the text against the document before submitting, especially the country fields and the full name. This preparation follows the guide's requirements; it does not create an extra document category or an alternative verification route.
After submission, the guide says the status changes to Under Review. It describes email notification when verification is approved or further information is needed. To inspect the application yourself, return to Identity Verification in the User Center and read the status displayed at the top of the page.
Why the official review times differ
Two opened Bitget help pages give different typical timings. The individual-verification FAQ says reviews usually take up to 60 minutes and tells users waiting longer to submit a support ticket with their UID. The website guide says processing typically takes one business day and gives that interval in its delayed-application instructions.
Those statements should retain their page attribution. Neither establishes a guaranteed completion time for your application, and the pages do not explain why their typical intervals differ. A pending status is not an approval. Use the status on your own application and, when contacting support, identify which instructions you followed and when you submitted.
Record the submission time in SGT together with the exact status and any request for more information. That gives support a concrete application to investigate. A reader who has already waited beyond the FAQ's stated interval can use its ticket instruction and include the UID; there is no need to invent an approval deadline from the other page's longer interval.

Rejection, retries and duplicate accounts
The individual-verification FAQ says a rejected application produces an account notification or email with the reason. Read that reason before trying again. Its examples include clearer images or valid documents, so correct the stated problem rather than submitting an unchanged application repeatedly.
The same FAQ allows up to five verification attempts within 24 hours. If all attempts fail, it instructs the user to wait another 24 hours. Keep the attempt limit separate from the review-time estimates: a submission allowance does not say how long any particular review takes. A rejection message and the remaining attempt count are more useful than guessing that another immediate upload will solve the issue.
Bitget also states that each user may verify only one account. Reusing the same ID across multiple accounts leads to rejection. Its FAQ directs users needing multiple trading accounts to sub-accounts beneath the verified main account, and says identity verification is completed on the main account. The sub-accounts inherit the main account's access permissions under that FAQ.
For a name mismatch after verification, the FAQ describes an Edit Name feature on the Individual Verification page and asks for the corrected name and supporting documents. Use the named correction process. Opening another personal account does not resolve the original mismatch and conflicts with the one-account rule.

What verification changes, and what to check before depositing
The FAQ states that verification is needed for core services from January 1, 2024, including crypto deposits and trading. It also lists fiat deposits, P2P and on-chain withdrawals among the functions connected to verification. The Terms of Use separately say individual services follow applicable Product Terms and describe fiat services as provided by third parties with their own conditions and information requirements.
That distinction gives a practical sequence. Check residence eligibility, complete the requested identity verification, read the result, and then inspect the intended deposit or product screen. A completed identity review should not be turned into a claim that every payment method or product is available for that account. The opened documents do not establish account-specific card acceptance, bank support or futures eligibility.
The FAQ also publishes withdrawal limits by VIP level, but this article does not quote them as a live account allowance. The same page points to the fee page for the latest limits and fee details, and that separate schedule was not verified here. Read your withdrawal screen for the applicable limit, asset and network before planning a transfer. No withdrawal fee is asserted in this article.
Use the Bitget.com profile again when comparing the venue with your intended use. First establish that you may use the service, then examine the particular product and payment route available to your account. Follow the registry-listed NexuAlpha English channel for our English updates.
Resetting verification can interrupt access
The FAQ says that resetting identity verification leaves the account temporarily unverified and prevents deposits or trading until the new verification completes. It gives a typical reset-process time of one business day, depending on the queue. A reset is therefore a distinct account operation, rather than an ordinary failed-photo retry.
It also lists limited circumstances for deleting identification verification, including account deletion, a nationality change, or difficulty proceeding with a SEPA deposit or withdrawal where identification information must match. Do not read those examples as a general instruction to erase verification whenever an application takes longer than expected. For a pending review, use its status and the support route first.
Questions the opened sources answer
Is there a complete list of supported KYC countries?
The opened terms provide a prohibited-location definition. The website guide says document types vary by country. Together they do not supply an exhaustive supported-country and product matrix.
Can I verify with the same ID on another account?
The FAQ says each user may verify one account and that repeated use of the ID on multiple accounts leads to rejection.
Does the website require a face check?
Yes. The website guide includes facial verification after the document-photo step, with on-screen movement prompts.
What should I send support about a delay?
The official help instructions request your UID. Include the submission time and displayed application status when explaining the delay.
