Bitget Taiwan Stock Perps: TSMC (TWTSM) and 7 More Contracts, 20x Leverage, 24/7 Trading and What You Do and Don't Own
The short answer
On 19 October 2026 Bitget listed eight Taiwan stock perpetual contracts: TSMC (TWTSM), Delta Electronics (TWDELTA), ASE Technology (TWASX), UMC (TWUMC), Nanya Technology (NANYA), Winbond (WINBOND), YAGEO and Walsin Technology (WALSIN). They are settled in USDT, allow up to 20x leverage, trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and charge a funding fee once every eight hours. They are not shares and not tokenized stocks: Bitget's own risk notice says the product does not represent ownership of the underlying stock and carries no dividends, voting rights or other shareholder rights. What you get is price exposure to Taiwanese chip and component companies, with leverage, outside Taiwan's trading hours.

What Bitget listed
Bitget's announcement, published at 03:48 on 19 October 2026 (UTC+8), lists the eight contracts and describes each company in one line.:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Contract | Company | What Bitget says it does |
|---|---|---|
| TWTSM | TSMC | Leading foundry with 3nm and 2nm processes; core foundry partner for AI chips, CPUs and GPUs |
| TWUMC | UMC | Foundry focused on mature and specialty process nodes: power management, display driver ICs, RF |
| TWASX | ASE Technology Holding | World's largest outsourced chip assembly and test provider; involved in advanced packaging including CoWoS |
| TWDELTA | Delta Electronics | Power and thermal management, data-center infrastructure, EV powertrains, industrial automation |
| NANYA | Nanya Technology | Taiwanese DRAM maker for consumer, server and automotive uses |
| WINBOND | Winbond Electronics | Specialty DRAM, NOR Flash, SLC NAND and microcontrollers |
| YAGEO | YAGEO | Passive components; second-largest MLCC supplier |
| WALSIN | Walsin Technology | MLCC, chip resistors and inductors |
The list has a theme: AI hardware demand. Bitget points to AI computing demand, advanced packaging and AI data-center buildouts in the descriptions of TSMC, ASE and Delta, and to the memory and component cycle for Nanya, Winbond, YAGEO and Walsin. This follows Bitget's earlier stock-perp listings for Japanese names such as Fast Retailing, Toyota and Sony and a Jio pre-IPO perpetual, which appear in the "related articles" list on the same page.
The contract specifications
Bitget publishes one specification table for all eight:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Settlement asset | USDT |
| Maximum leverage | 20x |
| Trading hours | 24/7 |
| Funding fee settlement | Once every eight hours |
Bitget also says it may change parameters such as leverage and margin ratio according to market conditions, and tells users to read the latest official announcements. In practice, 20x is the ceiling and not the setting you should start with: the announcement itself warns that stock index perps may experience high volatility and that high leverage significantly increases risk.
For fees, Bitget's standard USDT-margined futures rates on our Bitget profile are 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker as of 10 October 2026. Bitget's announcement does not state a separate fee schedule for these eight contracts, so confirm the rate on the contract page in the app before you size a position.

Open →What you do and do not own
This is the part that matters most, and Bitget states it directly. The product "is not a security and does not represent actual ownership of the underlying stocks, related stock tokens, or indices", and it "does not entitle you to any dividends, interest, voting rights, shareholder rights, or rights offerings". Bitget is "neither the issuer nor the distributor" of the underlying stocks.
That puts these contracts in a different category from the products on our tokenized stocks hub. A tokenized stock is a token that is meant to track a share and, depending on the issuer, may be backed by the real security. A stock perp is a derivative: you hold a long or short position in a contract whose price follows the stock, margined and settled in USDT. You can go short as easily as long, you can use leverage, and you pay or receive funding every eight hours, but you never hold the share or the token.
Compare this with how Binance describes its own two products in our comparison of Binance bStocks and TradFi perps: the same split between a backed spot token and a leveraged USDT contract applies here, with Bitget offering the contract side for Taiwanese companies.
What 24/7 trading changes
Taiwan's own stock market is open on weekday mornings and early afternoons, local time. A perpetual that trades around the clock keeps moving when Taipei is closed: on weekday evenings, overnight and all weekend. For a trader that is both the attraction and the risk. You can react to a US chip-sector move or an AI headline when the Taiwanese shares cannot trade, and you can also be liquidated by a move you cannot hedge in the underlying market.
Bitget's announcement does not explain what price reference the contract uses while Taiwan's market is closed. Read the contract specification inside the Bitget app for the index price source and how the mark price is built before you rely on a stop-loss near a market close or weekend gap.
How funding works on a stock perp
Funding is a transfer between longs and shorts every eight hours, paid in USDT. If the perpetual trades above its reference price, longs usually pay shorts; if it trades below, shorts pay longs. Because these contracts are new, funding on them can be less stable than on bitcoin or ether, and holding a leveraged position through several settlements adds a cost that has nothing to do with the stock's move. Watch the funding line on the contract page, and compare it on the funding board for the crypto contracts you may be hedging with.
A sensible way to approach a new listing
- Start with the specification page, not the chart. Check the index source, tick size, minimum order and funding rate.
- Use a fraction of the 20x. Roughly a 5% adverse move wipes out a 20x position; the listed stocks are cyclical hardware names, so check each one's volatility rather than assuming a mega-cap behaves like an index.
- Treat each name as its own bet. TSMC, a DRAM maker and a capacitor maker move for different reasons: AI chip demand, memory prices and component cycles.
- Know the exit. With 24/7 trading you can close any time, but spreads can widen when the underlying market is shut.
How to act on this
If you want to trade these contracts, open them on Bitget, where all eight are listed; signing up with code nexu888 puts a fee rebate on your trading. If you prefer to compare how other venues handle stock exposure first, our activities page lists the current stock campaigns, and the tokenized stocks hub shows which venues offer backed tokens instead of contracts.

What we could not verify
Bitget's announcement does not give the minimum order size, a contract-specific fee schedule, the index price source or how the mark price is set while Taiwan's market is closed. We have not seen live order books for the eight contracts, so we cannot say how deep they are at launch.
