Crypto AI Sector Rises 7.71% as Q Jumps 252.24%; SocialFi Falls
The short answer
The crypto AI sector rose 7.71% over 24 hours in a SoSoValue snapshot reported on October 27, while SocialFi fell 2.33%. Quack AI (Q) gained 252.24% and SoSoValue (SOSO) added 9.16% within the AI group. For traders comparing the sector rally with a token they hold, the immediate check is the token's own return and executable order price. The sector figure cannot tell you what that particular position earned. PANews
PANews published its report at 10:21:49 SGT; Odaily followed at 10:24:56 SGT with the same principal figures. Both attributed the snapshot to SoSoValue. Their agreement supports an accurate account of the reported table, although it leaves one underlying data origin rather than two independent measurements. Odaily

AI leads a broadly positive sector table
Seven of the eight named sectors rose in the reports. AI had the largest percentage increase, followed by PayFi at 2.06% and DeFi at 2.03%. Meme gained 1.80%; Layer2, Layer1 and CeFi posted smaller advances. SocialFi was the only declining group in this reported selection.

The gap between AI and PayFi was 5.65 percentage points, calculated as 7.71 minus 2.06. The distance from AI to SocialFi was 10.04 percentage points: 7.71 minus negative 2.33. These comparisons describe the reported spread across groups. They provide no measurement of money moving from one group into another.
PayFi and DeFi were separated by just 0.03 percentage point. That small gap is useful when reading a ranked list: their reported gains were close, even though one appeared above the other. AI was the clear outlier among the sector readings; the rest of the positive groups were below its 7.71% gain.
Q's 252.24% move needs its own reading
Q's gain was much larger than the AI sector reading. SOSO's 9.16% increase was also above the reported group figure, but by a far smaller amount. The difference between those two token returns was 243.08 percentage points, using 252.24 minus 9.16. Both token numbers come from the same snapshot.
An illustrative calculation makes the difference easier to read. Start each series at a hypothetical value of 100. Applying the reported changes produces 107.71 for AI, 109.16 for SOSO and 352.24 for Q. The formula is 100 multiplied by one plus the percentage return divided by 100. These are rebased examples calculated from the source figures, rather than reported token prices.
That distinction matters when looking at a position. A reader who holds SOSO should compare the SOSO entry with the price history for that holding. Someone holding Q should use the Q entry. Applying 7.71% to either position would substitute a group reading for the named token's reported change.
The opened reports do not provide the AI basket's constituent weights or its full calculation method. Q's extraordinary percentage move therefore cannot be assigned a particular share of the sector gain from these articles alone. An attribution calculation would need the membership, weights and measurement period used for the basket.
The reports also give no verified event explaining Q's rise. A market table establishes the movement being reported; a catalyst requires its own evidence. We have not attached the gain to a new listing, partnership, product release or other announcement. Readers following Q should look for a dated primary announcement before adopting any of those explanations.
SocialFi is the exception, with GRAM down 3.18%
SocialFi fell 2.33%, and the named token GRAM lost 3.18%. The token's decline was 0.85 percentage point larger than the group's reported fall: 3.18 minus 2.33. The source identifies GRAM as an example inside the declining sector.
Read that row alongside the positive groups, without expanding it into a claim about every asset carrying a SocialFi label. The report names one token in that group and supplies one sector reading. It does not publish the return of every constituent or say that each of them declined.
For an existing GRAM position, start by checking the exact asset and trading pair in the account. Then compare the account's own entry price and current executable price. The reported 24-hour change is a different calculation from a holder's profit or loss unless the purchase happened at the same starting price used in the observation.
The contrast with AI is useful for organizing a watchlist. Put the two reported sector returns next to the tokens actually held, and retain each token's own row. That keeps a strong AI headline from masking a negative SocialFi holding when assessing the day's positions.
Sector labels and sector indexes have different readings
Odaily also reported that ssiDeFi, ssiGameFi and ssiMeme rose 2.60%, 2.35% and 2.28%, respectively. Those readings appear separately from its principal sector table. The article does not give enough methodology to treat the similarly named measures as interchangeable.
For DeFi, the numerical difference between the sector reading of 2.03% and ssiDeFi's 2.60% was 0.57 percentage point. For Meme, 2.28% for ssiMeme minus 1.80% for the sector was 0.48 percentage point. The arithmetic identifies a difference; it does not explain why the measures differ.
When recording this snapshot, preserve the name attached to each figure. Write “DeFi sector +2.03%” separately from “ssiDeFi +2.60%.” If comparing a later update, use the same named series. Mixing the two would create a change that comes partly from switching measures rather than from a fresh market observation.
The GameFi index reading also cannot be inserted into the principal table as if the reports supplied an equivalent GameFi sector number. Keep it in the separate index comparison. The source gives ssiGameFi's 2.35% increase, which is the figure that can be reported.
The named tokens also outpace their other groups
Outside AI, CHIP gained 19.94% against DeFi's 2.03%, a difference of 17.91 percentage points. XDC rose 9.55% against Layer1's 0.99%, a gap of 8.56 percentage points. TEL's 8.99% increase exceeded PayFi's 2.06% by 6.93 percentage points. Each calculation subtracts the reported sector return from its named token return. Source figures: PANews
Those examples broaden the reading beyond Q: the token and sector numbers differ elsewhere in the table too. They still do not reveal the full distribution of returns within each basket. Before describing a group as uniformly strong, ask for its complete constituent table. Before comparing a holding with that group, retain the holding's own symbol and measurement period. The source provides examples inside the groups, rather than an account of every token in them.
Before placing an order, check the instrument in front of you
- Open the instrument page in the exchange account already in use. Match the full name Quack AI, ticker Q and quoted pair with the asset being researched. For a derivative, record the contract name separately. Check the listing status and regional access shown for that account before opening an order.
- On the order screen, inspect the executable price, proposed size and estimated amount together. Compare the visible available quantity with the intended order quantity, and review the order conditions offered in that account. If the pair, product name or price does not match the record made in the first check, resolve that mismatch before confirming.
If the account already has an open order, examine its price and remaining quantity before placing another. For an open margined position, inspect the account's displayed margin and liquidation level. The relevant question is how the existing position stands at the current quote, rather than whether its sector occupies the first row of a news table.
The market rates page can serve as a starting point for a separate quote comparison, and the funding board is a separate check when the actual instrument is a perpetual contract. Match the pair and observation time before using either view. No funding rate, contract specification or listing is supplied by this sector report.
What to retain for the next update
Save the source timestamp beside the figures. The 10:21:49 SGT PANews publication time identifies when that report appeared, while its “24-hour” label describes the return window being reported. The article does not specify the exact second at which SoSoValue sampled every underlying price.
For the next comparison, collect the same named sector series and the same token tickers. Note any changed measurement window before subtracting one reading from another. Add a catalyst only when a separate announcement supports it, and preserve that announcement's own time.
A useful watchlist entry for this event would pair AI's reported gain with Q and SOSO, and SocialFi's decline with GRAM. Keep the sector values, token changes and account prices in separate fields. That record lets a later update answer a concrete question: which reported series changed, and how did the asset actually held compare?
