How to withdraw money from OKX: cash, crypto and the amount received

8 min

The short answer

To withdraw money from OKX, first decide whether the destination is a bank account or a crypto wallet. For cash, open the withdrawal area, choose an available currency and payment method, then review the amount the bank will receive after the displayed fee. For crypto, choose the asset, receiving address and matching network, check any required tag, and complete the account's security checks. The options depend on the account and region; the public instructions do not establish a cash-out route for every country.

The Spanish search “okx como retirar dinero” can describe either operation. A transfer of crypto leaves you with crypto at the destination. A cash withdrawal moves a supported cash balance through an available payment method. Choose the endpoint before comparing charges or following a tutorial. This guide uses the official cash and crypto withdrawal instructions opened on November 5 SGT, with source titles identified below.

Start with where you want the balance to arrive

Write down the asset you hold and what you want to receive. If the goal is money in a bank account, inspect the cash withdrawal choices first. If the goal is moving tokens to another exchange or your own wallet, inspect crypto withdrawal. That decision prevents comparing two prices for different outcomes.

For example, someone holding USDT who wants local currency in a bank needs to account for any conversion required by their available route. Someone who wants USDT in a compatible wallet is checking a network transfer instead. The crypto withdrawal instructions do not promise a bank payment, and the cash instructions do not establish that every token balance can be sent directly to a bank.

Use the OKX account and fee overview to orient yourself before opening the withdrawal screen. Read the product label in the account you actually use. Keep the destination, currency and account entity together in your notes, rather than borrowing a payment method from another country's screenshot.

Find the cash route offered to your account

OKX's cash help page describes a web route through Assets, Withdraw and Cash. Its app instructions start at Transfer and then Withdraw. The supported currencies and payment choices appear in the cash withdrawal area according to region. A method absent from that list is not established as available to you. After selecting the currency, inspect the method and receiving account. Check that the displayed destination is the account you intend to use. Read the preview before submitting. If a currency or bank route you expected is missing, resolve that specific availability question through official support rather than changing the account's residence to imitate a tutorial.

The public page explains where to find the method's terms. It does not provide a universal list of Latin American bank rails, a universal withdrawal minimum or a single fee for everyone. This matters for a Spanish-language query: the language of the page does not identify the service entity or establish which payment method a reader in Mexico, Argentina or another country can use.

When comparing routes, hold the endpoint constant. A quote to receive cash at a bank and a quote to receive a stablecoin at another exchange answer different questions. If an additional sale or conversion is needed after the crypto transfer, include that step before deciding which route costs less.

Compare what arrives after the fee

The useful figure is the final amount received, not the balance entered in the withdrawal box. The official cash help page says the processing charge is shown when choosing a method and that the actual charge appears again on the preview. Its fee examples illustrate fixed, percentage and combined charges. They are explanations of calculation methods, rather than a current offer for your account.

Consider an explicitly hypothetical withdrawal of 200 currency units with a displayed charge of 1.5% plus 1 unit. The arithmetic is 200 × 0.015 + 1 = 4 units. If the charge is deducted from the entered withdrawal amount, the recipient receives 196 units. These are example inputs, not a verified OKX price or a payment quote.

A fixed charge changes the comparison when the withdrawal amount changes. A percentage charge changes with the amount. A combined charge needs both parts. Copy the formula and the current inputs from the preview, then compare the net receipt for the same starting balance. Do not substitute a trading-fee percentage for the withdrawal charge.

A simple record is enough: starting asset, amount to be debited, conversion required, withdrawal charge, receiving currency and final amount. If the screen has not yet shown the final amount, the comparison is unfinished. A trading discount cannot answer the missing withdrawal-cost question.

The OKX overview helps keep account and trading information in one place. The withdrawal preview remains the place to check the selected method's charge and the specific amount you will receive.

Check limits against the intended amount

OKX's cash guidance distinguishes a minimum per withdrawal from limits over a period. It describes daily, weekly and monthly windows, and says availability can depend on the chosen method and account verification. The page directs readers to the information icon for the method's remaining limit. Source: OKX cash withdrawal limits and processing guide, okx.com.

Check the available capacity before planning several transfers. The guide describes rolling windows: capacity returns as the relevant transactions age out, rather than necessarily resetting at midnight. A new calendar date alone therefore does not tell you the account can send the full amount again.

Read the unit alongside the limit. A limit expressed in one currency, a minimum amount of a token and a cap on the number of withdrawals are different checks. Save the figure that applies to your selected route. Do not infer a bank minimum from a token's minimum withdrawal quantity.

If the amount exceeds the displayed remaining limit, first find out which limit is binding. Splitting an amount into smaller requests does not establish that a periodic cap disappears. The account screen and official support need to resolve that issue before another attempt.

Sending crypto: match the receiving instructions

OKX's crypto app guide describes an on-chain withdrawal to a wallet or another exchange. It requires identity verification and directs the sender to choose the asset, destination and network, enter the address and amount, review the network fee and complete security verification. Source: OKX, “How do I make a crypto withdrawal? (app)”, okx.com.

Start at the receiving wallet or exchange. Copy its deposit instructions for the exact asset you want to send. Compare the receiving network with the network selected at withdrawal. A token's familiar name does not remove the need to check the network on both sides.

Inspect any tag or memo shown by the recipient. The official guide identifies XRP as an example where a tag may be required. Save the destination instructions together, so that copying an address does not leave an associated field behind. Review the full destination after pasting it.

Next compare the amount with the minimum and fee displayed by OKX. The guide says these appear on the withdrawal page. It does not establish one fixed charge across all networks. A cheaper displayed network is useful only when the receiving destination supports that same route.

If using an address allowlist, review the saved destination and its network. OKX's guide says allowlist mode restricts withdrawals to entries in the address book. A stored entry still needs to match this transfer's recipient and asset. Complete only the security checks shown in the official account interface.

An internal transfer has a different destination

The same crypto guide describes transfers to verified OKX users through recipient identifiers such as an email, phone number or UID. That is a separate option from an on-chain wallet transfer. The guide describes internal transfers as free, but that statement does not establish a free bank withdrawal or a free blockchain transfer.

Confirm that the recipient intends to receive funds inside OKX before selecting this route. A bank account number and a blockchain address are not interchangeable with a user identifier. Review the recipient detail on the confirmation screen, especially if several contacts have similar names.

For a transfer to an external exchange, use the receiving exchange's deposit instructions and the on-chain route described above. Do not select an internal recipient simply because the destination is another crypto service.

Follow the request until the destination is credited

The crypto help page describes four stages from requested through pending and withdrawing to completed. It explains that completed means the assets have left OKX; receipt must still be checked with the receiving platform or wallet. Keep the transaction detail and the destination's deposit status together when checking a delayed transfer.

Cash timing is a separate matter. OKX's cash guide says the method selection displays an estimated processing time, with some methods taking up to five business days. That broad range is not a promise for a particular country or bank. Record the estimate displayed for the method you selected and when you submitted it, using SGT when sharing a timeline.

If the expected arrival has not occurred, identify the missing stage. Is the request still pending at OKX, has the crypto left the platform, or has the recipient not credited it? That distinction gives support a concrete question and avoids sending a second transfer before the first is understood.

Quick answers

Can I withdraw directly to any bank?

The public cash guide says the available currencies and methods depend on region. Inspect the choices shown in your account; this run did not verify a universal bank route or a specific local bank's eligibility.

Is a crypto withdrawal the same as cashing out?

A crypto transfer sends the selected asset to a compatible destination. If you want cash at a bank, account for the cash withdrawal or conversion route separately.

Where should I check the charge?

For cash, inspect the selected method and final preview. For crypto, inspect the withdrawal page's asset, network, minimum and fee before confirming. Use the actual amount received as the comparison endpoint.

Does completed mean the recipient has credited my crypto?

OKX's crypto guide defines completed as assets having left its platform. Check the receiving wallet or exchange as well, and retain the transfer details if support needs to investigate.
