KuCoin Lists SKYAI for 18:00 SGT Trading After a One-Hour Call Auction

7 min

The short answer

KuCoin has scheduled SKYAI/USDT spot trading for 18:00 SGT on October 29, following a call auction from 17:00 to 18:00 SGT. Its listing notice says deposits are open on BSC-BEP20 and withdrawals are scheduled for 18:00 SGT on October 30. For someone planning to trade the opening, the immediate decision is whether to submit a limit order during the auction or wait until continuous trading starts. The hour before trading deserves attention because an auction order does not fill immediately and cancellation permissions change during the process. KuCoin's official auction explanation divides that hour into phases, with the individual phase lengths shown on the market-opening countdown page. The listing announcement provides the overall window, rather than a timetable for each phase.

KuCoin's listing notice is dated October 29 at 10:54 SGT.

Four milestones, with withdrawals on the following day

The notice separates deposits, the call auction, spot trading and withdrawals. These are different operations. A deposit opening does not mean spot orders are already trading, and the spot start does not mean withdrawals have also opened.

Source: KuCoin's SKYAI listing notice. The original auction window is 09:00–10:00 UTC; trading and withdrawals are each given as 10:00 UTC on their respective dates. Adding eight hours gives the SGT times above. The scheduled gap between the spot opening and withdrawal opening is therefore one day.

For a deposit, use the account's SKYAI deposit page and compare its supported network with the sending wallet before authorizing a transfer. The announcement names BSC-BEP20. It does not supply a deposit minimum, required confirmation count or an account-specific deposit address. Obtain those fields from the deposit screen rather than substituting a number from another token's page.

Keep the transaction record if you transfer. When checking whether the transfer has arrived, compare that record with the credited deposit in the account. A scheduled market opening is a separate event and should not be used as a substitute for checking the deposit itself.

For a holder planning to move tokens out after a trade, the next-day withdrawal schedule is the relevant time. Treat 18:00 SGT on October 30 as the published opening plan. Before preparing an outgoing transfer, inspect the withdrawal screen for the exact asset, network, destination and available status. The listing text gives no withdrawal fee or minimum amount to use in a transfer calculation.

What happens to an auction order

KuCoin's official explanation says orders placed during a call auction are collected rather than filled immediately. Buy and sell orders are matched using price and time priority to determine an opening price. Only limit orders can be placed during this stage. That gives an opening participant a concrete task: choose the price and size deliberately before submitting. The announcement does not contain a quoted SKYAI opening price. An order entered at a chosen price is an instruction from the trader, while the final auction price is an outcome calculated from the collected orders.

The official explanation describes three criteria for choosing that price. It must produce the highest trading volume. Buy orders above the selected price and sell orders below it must all be fillable. At the selected price itself, either all buy orders or all sell orders must be filled. These criteria concern the auction's opening calculation; they do not provide a price forecast for subsequent trading.

A reader following the countdown should record whether the page is showing an estimated opening price or the finalized result. KuCoin says it displays an estimated opening price, estimated trading volume and current ranges for buy and sell orders. The explanation also says those estimates may differ from actual conditions when trading begins. Use the final execution record to establish what the account bought or sold.

If you prefer to see the opening result before choosing an instruction, waiting until the scheduled spot start is a different workflow. First inspect whether the market has opened, then check its order screen. The published timetable alone does not provide the live bid, ask or size available to your order.

Cancellation changes before the opening

The auction's three phases have different permissions. In the first phase, users can place and cancel orders at any time. In the second, users can place orders but cannot cancel them. In the third, users can neither place nor cancel orders while the system finalizes the opening price. KuCoin directs users to the opening countdown page for each phase's duration.

Read the phase label before pressing the order button. The full 17:00–18:00 SGT window does not mean cancellation stays available for that entire period. A plan that relies on withdrawing an instruction moments before the opening therefore needs the actual phase timings from the market page.

If an order is already submitted, inspect its status while cancellation remains available and decide whether it still reflects the intended price and size. Once the page enters the phase without cancellation, the published mechanism no longer offers that action. Avoid assuming that an instruction used during an earlier phase will remain available later.

After the auction, reconcile the order record with the final execution. Record the amount filled and any remaining order status shown by the platform. A submitted instruction, an estimated opening result and a completed trade describe different stages. Keeping those records separate makes the eventual account balance easier to check.

The phase schedule is the main detail still missing from the SKYAI notice itself. This report does not divide the hour into invented intervals. The official mechanism specifically assigns that information to the countdown page, so inspect that page when deciding how close to the opening to submit or change an instruction.

Bots are scheduled alongside spot trading

KuCoin says SKYAI/USDT will become available for trading bots when spot trading begins. It lists Spot Grid, Infinity Grid, DCA, Smart Rebalance, Spot Martingale, Spot Grid AI Plus and AI Spot Trend. Those are the services named in the announcement, rather than evidence that any particular settings have been tested for this opening.

The start time matters here too. The bot paragraph refers to the spot opening, while the hour before it is the call auction. Do not read the listing as a promise that every bot can participate in the auction. The notice does not describe auction participation by those services.

Before creating a bot, compare the exact pair shown in its setup screen with SKYAI/USDT, then read the proposed order size and settings. If the intention is simply to place one auction limit order, use the auction's documented order process. A bot configuration is a separate instruction and deserves its own review before confirmation.

The announcement supplies no bot return, starting balance requirement or recommended parameters. It also does not say that a bot changes the withdrawal opening. Keep the withdrawal timetable attached to any plan involving an eventual transfer out, even if the purchases are automated.

The fee detail that the auction documentation does provide

The auction explanation says orders filled in a call auction are charged according to the relevant trading fee rates. It does not give a numerical SKYAI fee rate in that paragraph. The listing announcement also provides no numerical rate for the pair. Source: KuCoin's official call-auction explanation.

For a cost calculation, inspect the applicable account rate before entering the order. Record the executed amount and charged fee afterward. A listing headline supplies neither a personalized rate nor a completed fee calculation, so there is no percentage to insert here from the two opened announcements.

Likewise, the notices contain no reward amount for buying SKYAI, joining the auction or enabling a bot. The news is the published market-access schedule. Readers comparing this opening with a campaign should keep that distinction: a spot listing is not itself evidence of a token distribution or a trading reward.

Quick answers before the auction

Which market is in the notice?

The announced spot pair is SKYAI/USDT. The deposit network named in the same notice is BSC-BEP20. Check both fields when preparing the account rather than treating the ticker alone as a complete transfer instruction.

Can an auction order be canceled at any point?

The official mechanism allows cancellation during phase one, disallows it during phase two, and disallows both new orders and cancellations during phase three. The market-opening countdown carries the individual phase durations.

Does spot trading start when the auction starts?

The notice schedules the auction for 17:00–18:00 SGT on October 29 and spot trading for 18:00 SGT. An auction order is collected before the opening calculation, so the start of the collection window is not an immediate fill time.

What should an existing holder check next?

Compare your token and network with the announced deposit route, then inspect the auction countdown and your own order status. If you intend to withdraw after selling or buying, the notice schedules withdrawals for 18:00 SGT on October 30. General market context is available on the market data board; execution and transfer status belong in the relevant account records.
