Why Is BLAST Up Today? A 220% Spike on Upbit One Day Before Delisting, and How to Withdraw Before the Blast Network Shuts Down on October 26

6 min

The short answer

BLAST is up about 220% today because of a squeeze on Upbit, the last large exchange still trading it, one day before Upbit ends BLAST trading on 26 October and the Blast network shuts down. There is no new announcement: Upbit has closed BLAST deposits, so no coins can come in from elsewhere to meet the buying, and the KRW-BLAST price jumped from 0.0606 won to 0.30 won within an hour this morning.

If you still hold anything on Blast, the move that matters is not the price. Bridge your ETH, USDB and BLAST to Ethereum now through the official Blast bridge, which takes about a day, and if your BLAST sits on an exchange, check that exchange's withdrawal cut-off today.

What happened, in numbers

Our reading of Upbit's public market data at 07:47 UTC on 25 October (16:47 Korea time):

52-week low0.0574 won, on 24 October 2026
52-week high2.35 won, on 27 October 2025

The hourly candles show how sudden it was. Between 09:00 and 10:00 Korea time, BLAST traded about 0.3 billion won. In the 10:00 hour it opened at 0.0606 won, touched 0.30 won and traded about 57.2 billion won; the 11:00 hour added another 48.8 billion won, with a range from 0.138 to 0.295 won. Since then the price has swung between roughly 0.19 and 0.30 won every hour. At Upbit's USDT price of 1,342 won, the day's turnover is roughly 139 million USDT, almost all of it traded after 10:00 Korea time.

The day before, on 24 October, BLAST set its 52-week low. A token that has lost about 97% from its 52-week high, then quintuples in an hour on a single exchange the day before delisting, is a liquidity event, not a change in the project's prospects.

Why it rose: a closed market, not news

1. Upbit is close to the only market left. KuCoin delisted the BLAST/USDT spot pair on 16 October and closed BLAST withdrawals at 12:00 UTC on 25 October. When we checked the public market APIs of Binance, OKX, Bitget and Bybit today, none of them listed a BLAST spot pair, and Bybit and KuCoin Futures removed their BLASTUSDT perpetual contracts in early October.

2. Deposits are shut, so prices cannot be arbitraged. Upbit's 23 October notice says BLAST deposits will not reopen because trading support ends on 26 October. Traders who hold BLAST on Ethereum cannot send it to Upbit to sell into the spike, so the price is set only by people already inside Upbit. That is why a small order book can move several hundred percent in an hour.

3. The project is shutting down. Blast's own site now reads "Blast is winding down" and tells users to bridge assets back to Ethereum as soon as possible. KuCoin's notice states that the Blast network is shutting down on 26 October 2026. Odaily reported Blast's statement that the regular bridge interface works until 26 October, and that after that date withdrawals remain possible by interacting directly with the Blast Bridge contract on Ethereum.

None of this gives BLAST a reason to hold today's price after trading stops. Buying on Upbit now means betting that someone else buys higher before the market closes, with a fixed end date.

How to withdraw from Blast to Ethereum, step by step

Blast's withdrawal guide, written for regular wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby or a hardware wallet, works like this:

  1. Prepare gas on both chains. Keep a little ETH on Blast for the first transaction (two for BLAST: an approval and the withdrawal) and some ETH on Ethereum for the remaining steps: two transactions for ETH and BLAST, three for USDB.
  2. Start the withdrawal on Blast. Go to blast.io/bridge, connect your wallet, open Withdraw, choose the asset and amount, and confirm. Do not withdraw your entire ETH balance; leave enough to pay for this transaction.
  3. Prove it on Ethereum. After up to an hour, switch to Ethereum mainnet and click Prove Withdrawal.
  4. Wait one day. This is the challenge period; the claim button stays disabled until it ends.
  5. Claim or finalize. ETH is claimed in one step. BLAST arrives when you finalize. USDB is finalized, then claimable as DAI up to a day later.

Funds always land at the same address on Ethereum that you withdrew from on Blast. If BLAST does not show in your wallet afterwards, import the token address above on the Ethereum network or look up your address on Etherscan.

Two traps cost people money. Funds in a smart-contract wallet such as a Safe cannot use the bridge website; Blast publishes separate contract guides for ETH, USDB and BLAST. And Blast Mobile users must never withdraw to their Blast Mobile address on Ethereum, because the app does not manage Ethereum funds; send the assets to a regular wallet on Blast first, then bridge from there.

ExchangeStatus from its own notice
UpbitTrading support ends 26 October; deposits stay closed; withdrawals on the Ethereum network reopened on 23 October and run until 23 November 2026; minimum 1 BLAST, fee 10,000 BLAST
KuCoinSpot pair delisted 16 October; withdrawals closed 12:00 UTC on 25 October; leftover tokens may be converted to stablecoins, without a guarantee

Upbit's withdrawal fee is fixed in tokens: at today's price, 10,000 BLAST is about 2,160 won, so check that your balance is worth more than the fee before you send. Upbit pays out only on Ethereum; the old Blast network route is no longer supported.

How to act on this

Treat today's chart as a reason to finish your exit, not to start a trade. Once your ETH or DAI is back on Ethereum, you can keep it in your own wallet, or send it to an exchange on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network if you want to trade it. If you use OKX, check the deposit network and minimums on our OKX profile first; new users can open an OKX account with code nexu888. Compare networks and withdrawal costs across venues on the OKX and Bitget pages, and read our guide to Sophon's withdrawal deadline if you hold assets on another network that is closing.

Quick answers

Why is BLAST up today? A squeeze on Upbit, the last large market trading it, one day before Upbit ends trading. Deposits are closed, so outside holders cannot sell into the move.

How much is BLAST up? About 220% on Upbit at 07:47 UTC on 25 October, from 0.0674 won at the open to 0.216 won, after a high of 0.30 won.

When does Blast shut down? KuCoin's notice gives 26 October 2026, and Odaily reported that Blast's regular bridge interface runs until that date.

Can I still withdraw after 26 October? Odaily reported Blast's statement that withdrawals stay possible by using the Blast Bridge contract on Ethereum directly; the bridge website is the easier route before then.

How long does a Blast withdrawal take? Up to an hour before you can prove it, then a one-day challenge period; USDB needs up to one more day after finalizing.

What does USDB become? DAI on Ethereum.

Can I withdraw BLAST from Upbit? Yes, on the Ethereum network until 23 November 2026, with a minimum of 1 BLAST and a 10,000 BLAST fee.
