Bitget spot fees: 0.1% base rate, up to 60% back, and a 0.2% API field on BTC

7 min

The short answer

A 10,000 USDT spot trade on Bitget costs 10 USDT at the standard 0.1% rate, and an account signed up with code nexu888 gets up to 60% of that fee back, which is 6 USDT and a net cost of 4 USDT. The rebate is a share of the fee you paid, not of the trade amount, and it settles daily.

One check is worth doing before you trade size. Bitget's Trading Fees FAQ lists 0.1% for makers and takers, while its public market-data API showed 0.2% on BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT and 52 other pairs when we read it at about 06:49 SGT on November 7, 2026. Bitget's pages we opened do not explain the difference, so compare the fee on your first small fill with the arithmetic below.

What a spot trade costs at the published rate

Bitget's FAQ gives 0.1% as the standard spot rate on both sides of the order book, before any VIP tier or BGB discount. A maker order rests on the book until someone fills it. A taker order fills straight away against orders already there. At the standard tier the two cost the same on spot, so you gain no fee advantage by waiting with a limit order.

The share and the settlement frequency below come from our partner registry, which lists Bitget at 0.6 with automatic daily settlement.

1,000 USDT1 USDT0.60 USDT0.40 USDT
10,000 USDT10 USDT6 USDT4 USDT
100,000 USDT100 USDT60 USDT40 USDT

Each row is one fill. A full round trip, buying 10,000 USDT of a coin and selling the same value later, pays the fee twice: 20 USDT in fees, 12 USDT back, 8 USDT net. The Bitget page on NexuAlpha runs the same sum on monthly volume.

The 0.2% field on 54 pairs

Bitget's public symbols endpoint carries a takerFeeRate and a makerFeeRate for every spot pair. Of the 3,661 pairs marked online when we read it, 3,607 showed 0.001 (0.1%) on both sides and 54 showed 0.002 (0.2%).

The 54 include the largest coins on the exchange:

The field and the FAQ cannot both describe what a standard account pays on BTCUSDT, and we could not settle it from public pages. The field could be an older default that no longer applies to live accounts, or it could be what those pairs charge. Bitget's Fee Schedule page, which the FAQ names as the place to confirm current rates, loaded without its fee table when we fetched it, and the API documentation pages did not show a definition of the field either.

If 0.2% were charged, the 10,000 USDT trade above would cost 20 USDT, with 12 USDT back and 8 USDT net. The rebate percentage stays the same and the amount doubles along with the fee.

How to check your own rate with a small trade

The API listed a minimum order of 1 USDT on BTCUSDT, so the test costs very little:

  1. Note any rate your Bitget account shows for the pair you plan to trade.
  2. Place a market buy of about 100 USDT.
  3. Read the fee in that order's trade record.
  4. Compare it with the expected fee. At the last BTC price we read, 75,968.49 USDT, 100 USDT buys about 0.0013163 BTC, so 0.1% is about 0.0000013 BTC and 0.2% is about 0.0000026 BTC.

The FAQ says the fee is charged through your traded asset unless BGB offset is on. A test on a 0.1% pair proves nothing about BTC, so use the pair you actually intend to trade.

BGB and VIP discounts

The FAQ describes two separate discounts, and it says both can apply at once. VIP tiers lower your rate as qualifying trading volume, account assets or BGB holdings rise. The second is a setting: with "Use BGB to offset fees" switched on in your dashboard, the spot fee is deducted from your BGB balance at a discounted rate. If the balance runs short, the fee goes back to the original payment method.

The FAQ does not print the discount percentage or the tier table. It sends readers to the live schedule for both, so we have left those figures out. Remember that a rebate is a share of fees paid. A lower fee means a smaller rebate in USDT, though your total cost still falls. Holding BGB also has its own price risk, which a fee saving on small volume may not cover.

Fee against spread on BTC and ETH

For a small market order on a busy pair the fee is by far the larger cost. Bitget's ticker showed BTCUSDT at 75,963.96 bid and 75,963.97 ask at 06:49 SGT, a one-cent gap of about 0.00001%. ETHUSDT was 2,240.45 bid and 2,240.46 ask a minute later, about 0.0004%.

The best ask on BTC held 0.246874 BTC, worth about 18,753 USDT. An order larger than that walks into worse prices, so size matters more than the printed spread once you pass that level. This is one snapshot and depth changes by the second. Thinner pairs usually have much wider gaps, so read the order book before using a market order on them.

The same trade on Bitget, OKX and Binance

These figures use the standard rates and shares in our registry, whose fee fields carry an as-of date of October 10, 2026. Your account's rate may differ.

OKX10 USDT2 USDT8 USDT6.40 USDThourly
Binance10 USDT2.50 USDT7.50 USDT7.50 USDThourly

OKX's maker figure starts from its lower 0.08% rate: an 8 USDT fee with 1.60 USDT back. If Bitget's 0.2% field did apply to a pair, Bitget's net taker cost on that pair would be 8 USDT, which is why the check above comes first.

Costs that sit outside the trading fee

The FAQ says Bitget charges no deposit fee for crypto beyond the network's own cost, and no maintenance or custody fee for holding crypto. Withdrawals do cost something, and the network you choose changes the amount a lot. Bitget's public coin data listed these for USDT at the time of writing, with a 5 USDT minimum on each:

The withdrawal screen shows the final figure before you confirm. Our earlier piece on the Bitget USDT TRC20 withdrawal fee covers that fee in more detail. If you trade contracts too, the Bitget USDT-M futures fees article covers the separate 0.02% and 0.06% rates.

How to get the rebate on spot

Start from the Bitget exchange page, which carries the sign-up link. Enter nexu888 in the referral field when you register, complete the identity steps your region requires, then fund the account and place your first trade. Run the small test above on the pair you plan to use, and look for the first daily settlement in your account after that trade.

What we could not confirm

We could not confirm why 54 pairs show 0.2% in the API, or which figure a new standard account pays on those pairs. We also did not see the live VIP tier table or the current BGB discount rate. Our registry does not say whether an account opened without the code can be added later, so enter it at sign-up.

Quick answers

What is the Bitget spot trading fee?

The FAQ lists a standard 0.1% for both makers and takers, before VIP or BGB discounts. Bitget's API showed 0.2% on 54 pairs, including BTCUSDT, so check your own fill.

How much of the fee comes back with nexu888?

Up to 60%, settled daily. On a 1,000 USDT trade at 0.1%, that is 0.60 USDT back on a 1 USDT fee.

Does paying in BGB lower the spot fee?

Yes, with "Use BGB to offset fees" switched on and enough BGB in the account, according to the FAQ. It does not print the discount percentage.
