OKX Pix deposits in Brazil: free and from R$5, but you now need your own Pix key

7 min

The short answer

OKX Brazil says Pix deposits are free, usually arrive within minutes and start at R$5. Since its Pix key guide went up on October 26, 2026, every user is meant to deposit through their own individual account and Pix key. A transfer sent to old saved details after you migrate is returned to your bank, so copy the instructions from the app each time.

The other check that decides most deposits is the sender. The name and CPF or CNPJ on your bank account must match your OKX account. Pix for BRL is available only to OKX's Brazilian customers.

Set up the new key first

The prompt appears on your deposit screen if you have not finished setup. The steps from OKX are short:

  1. Open "Set up your new Pix key" on the deposit screen.
  2. Review the new key and the updated BRL details.
  3. Accept the terms and select "Set up my account".
  4. Wait for the automatic review. A "pending" status means the review is still running.

OKX says setup usually takes a few minutes, and it asks you to contact support if it runs past 2 business days. If setup fails, the usual cause it gives is information that does not match your KYC details.

Deadlines differ by account. Some customers see a date, and missing it stops deposits while withdrawals keep working. Others see no date and must finish setup before they can deposit or withdraw at all. Your app shows which group you are in.

Your new key and account number cannot be removed or deleted at this stage. OKX still tells users to copy current instructions from the app each time, since a transfer to old details comes back.

Make the deposit

On the app, go to Transfer, then Deposit, then Brazilian Real under Cash. On the web, log in and go to Deposit, then select Brazilian Real. Then:

  1. Read the instructions on the screen. They show your unique Pix key and a set of account details.
  2. In your banking app, paste the Pix key, or enter the account number, ISPB and branch code.
  3. Confirm the amount is at least R$5 and inside the limit shown.
  4. Send, then check Assets > Deposit > All deposits on the web, or the Portfolio or Activity page on the app.

Your details are unique to you, and OKX says you cannot deposit into someone else's account. A family member's bank account will not work for yours.

Two OKX pages describe different routes

The two official guides give different steps. OKX's older BRL deposit guide, last updated October 24, still tells users to paste OKX's CNPJ and check that the recipient is OKX Servicos Digitais Ltda. The newer guide, updated October 27, describes the individual key.

Follow what your own deposit screen shows. If it asks you to set up a new key, the older CNPJ steps no longer apply to you. If you have a saved CNPJ contact in your bank app from an earlier deposit, delete it or stop using it once you migrate.

The Pix key guide also lists an internal OKX review as a reason a deposit may not show up. If money is still missing after some time, OKX points you to support. Keep the bank receipt, since it shows the time and amount.

Limits, and how to raise them

OKX does not publish one fixed BRL limit. Its limits page says limits depend on the deposit method and your verification level. Your remaining limit appears when you select the method, and the information icon gives detail. Monthly limits cover a 30-day period and reset on a rolling basis, 30 days after the transaction that reached the limit, with no fixed reset date.

To ask for more, go to Deposit > Brazilian Real > Manage limits and answer the questions. OKX says it accepts only the Annual Tax Return as proof of source of funds, together with the receipt of filing. It aims to respond within 2 business days and charges no fee for the request. Approval is not guaranteed, and you can apply again with updated documents after a refusal.

What it costs after the money arrives

The deposit may be free, but the first trade is not. OKX's Brazil fee notice, dated November 7, 2025, set these BRL pair rates from November 25, 2025.

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

TierAssets (BRL)Or 30-day volume (BRL)MakerTaker
Regularup to 40,000up to 200,0000.100%0.400%
VIP 140,001 to 50,000200,001 to 500,0000.070%0.320%
VIP 250,001 to 100,000500,001 to 1,000,0000.065%0.250%
VIP 3100,001 to 500,0001,000,001 to 5,000,0000.030%0.150%

The notice says fee rates may be reviewed every 3 months, so treat this as the last schedule we could read. The local fee page loaded without rates in our fetch. Check the rate shown on your own account before a large order.

By our arithmetic, a R$10,000 market order at the Regular taker rate costs R$40. The same amount filled as a limit order at the 0.100% maker rate costs R$10. That R$30 difference is available to any user with no tier change, as long as your order rests on the book and gets filled. The notice also lists a group of zero-fee pairs at 0.000%. Check the current list before assuming your pair is in it.

Tier changes add up as well. The same R$10,000 taker order costs R$32 at VIP 1, R$25 at VIP 2 and R$15 at VIP 3. VIP 1 starts at 200,001 BRL of 30-day volume or 40,001 BRL of assets, and the notice says users who qualify receive the new status automatically. The schedule now has 9 VIP tiers, up from 8. If you sit just under a line, a planned larger trade may cost less after you cross it, though the fee you save on a single order is small next to the price you pay.

What you can get back on fees

You can recover part of your trading fees by signing up with a partner code. Our partner data lists 20% for OKX with hourly settlement, using code nexu888. On that R$40 taker fee, 20% is R$8 back, so the net cost is R$32. On our OKX fees and sign-up page you can see the current terms. Our data does not list a Brazil-specific share, so confirm the first settlement appears on your account.

Compare before you fund, since rates differ a lot between venues. Our partner data lists Bitget's headline spot taker rate at 0.10% with a 60% share settled daily. On R$10,000, that is a R$10 fee and R$6 back, using the same code. Those are headline rates, and the rate on a BRL pair may differ, so read our Bitget Pix guide and check the order screen. The Bitget fees and sign-up page shows its current terms. OKX remains the option if you already hold a balance there and want local BRL pairs on one screen.

Before a large first deposit, a small test transfer costs little. The minimum is R$5, and it shows you the new key works and your CPF matches before more money moves. If it comes back, all you lost is the waiting time. Then use the same bank account for the full amount.

If you prefer peer-to-peer, our Bybit BRL P2P quote check shows how to read the cost built into a quote.

Getting BRL back out

OKX's withdrawal guide sets the same R$5 minimum and says the transfer usually lands within minutes. A bank account that completes a cash deposit is added automatically to your approved withdrawal accounts, so your first Pix deposit does double duty. You can also add an account by hand, and OKX says to use a checking account, since wrong or unverifiable details get rejected.

Open orders, Simple Earn subscriptions and pending on-chain deposits can hold part of your balance. That is the usual reason you cannot withdraw everything at once. Cancel the open order or wait for the on-chain deposit to finish, then try again.

What we could not confirm

  • The current live fee table. We read the November 2025 notice, and OKX reviews rates periodically.
  • Your exact BRL limit. OKX shows it only inside a logged-in account.
  • The date old deposit details stop working. OKX shows it per account in the app.
  • Which pairs are in the zero-fee group today.
