Bitget Adds EBAY, IBKR, MSCI, HLT and ABBV Stock Perps: What Traders Should Check First

5 min

The short answer

On October 21, 2026 (UTC+8), Bitget listed five stock perpetual futures pairs: EBAYUSDT, IBKRUSDT, MSCIUSDT, HLTUSDT and ABBVUSDT. A stock perp follows the price of a listed company's share, but you are trading a contract, not holding the shares. Before you open a position, read the contract details, check the funding rate and leverage, and read any dividend notice for the pair, because the same day Bitget published a cash dividend settlement notice for another stock perp, CATUSDT, which shows how dividends are paid to long and short positions.

What Bitget listed

Bitget's announcement, published at 14:11 UTC+8 on October 21, 2026, lists five new pairs. Its own descriptions of the underlying companies are useful for understanding what drives each price, although they are Bitget's wording, not a forecast.

  • EBAYUSDT tracks eBay Inc., a global online marketplace headquartered in San Jose, California. Bitget describes its business as C2C and B2C trading across electronics, fashion and collectibles, with growth into advertising and payment services.
  • IBKRUSDT tracks Interactive Brokers Group, a brokerage based in Greenwich, Connecticut, which offers electronic trading in stocks, options, futures and forex to clients around the world.
  • MSCIUSDT tracks MSCI Inc., a New York index and analytics provider whose benchmarks are widely used by institutional investors.
  • HLTUSDT tracks Hilton Worldwide Holdings, a hotel group headquartered in McLean, Virginia, with brands that include Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Hilton and DoubleTree.
  • ABBVUSDT is listed in the same announcement. Bitget's notice describes the pairs as hot stock perps, so check the pair's own page for its current specifications.

Bitget says each company's performance is linked to factors such as global e-commerce spending, trading volume and interest rates, index assets, and business and leisure travel demand. Those links are useful for a trader to think about what could move a price, but they do not tell you which way the price will go.

Stock perps are not shares

A perpetual futures contract has no expiry date, and its price follows the underlying market through a funding mechanism. A stock perp therefore gives price exposure to a company's share price. It does not make you a shareholder, and it does not give you voting rights or the company's dividend in the usual way. The dividend treatment depends on the contract rules, as the CATUSDT notice below shows.

Because these products use leverage and funding, a small price move can change your balance quickly. Position size, stop orders and the funding rate matter as much as the direction you expect.

The CATUSDT dividend notice: how longs and shorts are treated

Bitget published a separate notice at 09:31 UTC+8 on October 21, 2026, about CATUSDT stock perps. It states a cash dividend of USD 1.63 per share, an ex-dividend date of October 26, 2026 (ET), and a settlement start from 08:00 UTC+8 on October 24, 2026. According to the notice, long holders receive an amount based on their position size, credited to the account as a funding fee. Short holders have a matching amount based on their position size charged to them. Bitget says it will process the settlement gradually from that start time.

The practical lesson applies to any stock perp with a dividend. Check the notice before you carry a position across the ex-dividend date, and check how the platform credits or charges the amount, because a long and a short in the same contract are treated differently.

Why this matters for US-stock traders

Many traders now look for US stock exposure on crypto venues, and that is the main reason these listings draw attention. For a wider map of tokenized and related US stock products, see our tokenized stocks hub. Keep the product types apart: a stock perp is a derivative contract, while a tokenized stock is a token that is meant to represent a share. They carry different risks and different rules.

How to act on this

If you want to look at these pairs, you can open a Bitget account with code NEXU888 through our Bitget page and read the pair pages before you trade. Start with a small size, set a stop order before you open the position, and check the funding schedule each time. You can also review the Bitget exchange profile for an overview of the platform's products and fees.

What we could not verify

The announcements we read do not give the leverage limits, maximum position sizes or order-book depth for the five new pairs, so this article does not state them. We also did not confirm whether these contracts are available in every country; check Bitget's regional rules before you sign up. The Bitget notice for ABBVUSDT gave the listing but we did not use a separate company description for it.

Quick answers

Do stock perps give me shares of the company? No. They are perpetual futures contracts that follow the price of a share, and you do not become a shareholder.

What happens to my position on a dividend date? It depends on the contract rules. For CATUSDT, Bitget says longs receive a dividend amount as a funding fee and shorts are charged a matching amount, with settlement starting October 24, 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8.

Where is the official notice? On Bitget's support center. The listing notice for the five pairs and the CATUSDT dividend notice are both published there with the dates above.

Should I open a position just because the pair is new? A new listing is not a reason by itself. Read the rules, size the position for the loss you can accept and check the funding terms first.
