Bitget GEVUSDT and ASMLUSDT dividends: when stock-perp longs receive credits and shorts pay (October 2026)

6 min

The short answer

Bitget will begin cash-dividend settlement for GEVUSDT and ASMLUSDT stock perpetuals at 08:00 SGT on 27 October, with announced dividends of US$0.50 and US$2.10 per underlying share respectively. Long positions receive an adjustment through funding fees, while short positions pay it; the exchange nets long and short positions under the same UID before settlement. Check your net exposure and margin before the snapshot, rather than treating the dividend as an unconditional payment. Source: Bitget settlement notice, notice.

What Bitget announced

The notice covers these two stock-perpetual pairs and identifies the underlying companies' ex-dividend date as 27 October in Eastern Time. Its operational deadline is separately stated as 27 October at 08:00 UTC+8, which is 08:00 SGT. Use the settlement timestamp when deciding whether a position will still be open. The ex-dividend date is a calendar reference, not a substitute for that clock time. Source: notice.

ASMLUSDTUS$2.1027 October27 October, 08:00

The figures are the announced inputs. Bitget says the amount remains subject to official data published on the actual ex-dividend date and that adjustments will be communicated separately. An account calculation should therefore use the applicable settlement notice, not assume that a figure copied before the event cannot change. Source: notice.

NexuAlpha's official-announcement feed also contains the notice under identifier bitget:12560603898712. That is a discovery and cross-reference record for the same exchange notice, rather than independent confirmation of each account's eventual payment. Why the direction of your position matters

For a long position, Bitget describes a corresponding dividend amount based on position size, credited to the account in the form of a funding fee. For a short position, the corresponding amount is deducted through funding fees. The same corporate event therefore creates opposite cash movements depending on exposure. A trader who sees only the dividend amount in the headline still needs to identify whether their position receives or pays the adjustment. Source: notice.

The relevant object is an open stock-perpetual position. This notice gives a derivatives-account settlement process; it does not set out a cash-share ownership transfer or a token redemption procedure. Readers comparing product formats can use the tokenized-stocks hub to keep the product category in view. Do not turn a stock-perpetual funding adjustment into a claim that every instrument bearing the company name receives the same treatment. Source: notice; product distinctions are editorial interpretation of the named instrument.

Bitget specifically warns short holders that the deduction can leave insufficient margin and lead to forced liquidation. Its recommended actions are to check and add margin before settlement or close the affected short position in advance if the holder does not want the deduction. The notice draws particular attention to highly leveraged shorts and their margin ratios. Those are the operational consequences to inspect before looking at the size of a possible credit. Source: notice.

The snapshot and same-account netting

Settlement scope depends on a position snapshot taken at the time of settlement. Users with no open positions at that point are excluded. For the same UID, Bitget nets long and short positions before settling. A gross-position display alone is therefore not enough to establish the account's dividend adjustment: the stated rule also requires checking the opposing exposure under that UID. Source: notice.

The notice does not explain the detailed allocation of a net adjustment across separate position records. It also does not provide contract multipliers or a worked conversion from the order screen's quantity unit to the per-share dividend. Multiplying an arbitrary displayed contract count by US$0.50 or US$2.10 would add an assumption the announcement does not supply. Keep the displayed position unit and the announced per-share amount distinct until the contract specification resolves that relationship. Source: notice, including its absent calculation details.

Do not read “starting from” as a promise that every account settles at the opening second. Bitget says processing begins gradually from the specified time. The account transaction history will reflect the funding fees in real time upon completion. Together, those statements identify a start time and a place to verify completion, without announcing one universal completion deadline. Source: notice.

What to check before and after 08:00 SGT

Before the snapshot, identify whether GEVUSDT or ASMLUSDT is open, whether the exposure is long or short, and whether opposing positions exist under the same UID. Next inspect the margin available to absorb a short-side deduction. This sequence follows the announcement's scope, netting rule and margin warning; it avoids relying on the dividend table alone. Source: notice; sequence is editorial application of its rules.

If you do not want to participate, the notice instructs holders to close the relevant positions before 08:00 SGT on 27 October. It does not say that merely submitting a closing order excludes an account. The operative test it states is whether an open position exists at the snapshot, so check the resulting position status rather than using the order submission as evidence that exposure has disappeared. Source: notice; the order-status distinction follows from the open-position test.

After processing, inspect the account transaction history for the funding-fee entry. A long holder should look for the stated credit; a short holder should look for the deduction and resulting margin position. Bitget says normal contract trading continues during settlement. Trading availability and settlement completion are therefore separate checks: an available trading screen does not establish that the dividend adjustment has already posted. Source: notice.

How to act on this

Use the Bitget.com profile alongside your existing position records to identify the venue, then check the affected stock-perpetual pair and its margin before the deadline. The Bitget.com exchange page and stock-product hub provide internal routes for comparing the instrument category. Review current exposure before the snapshot and the actual account entry after processing. Source: notice.

What we could not verify

The fetched notice does not give contract multipliers, an account-specific settlement amount, an exact completion time or the later ex-dividend-day final adjustment. We have not verified any individual account entry. These gaps prevent a precise personal cash calculation, but do not change the announced start time, snapshot rule or opposite treatment of longs and shorts.
