Binance PREDICT Pre-Market Perpetual: How PREDICTUSDT Works, 5x Leverage, Funding and What Moved on Day One (October 25, 2026)

5 min

The short answer

Binance Futures opened a pre-market perpetual contract for Predict.fun's PREDICT token, PREDICTUSDT, at 08:15 UTC on 25 October 2026 with up to 5x leverage, before the token trades on Binance spot. In its first two hours it swung about 20%, from a high of 1.7652 USDT to a low of 1.412 USDT, and about 4.9 million USDT changed hands.

A pre-market contract lets you bet on the price of a token that has no stable spot price yet, so the price comes only from trades on the contract itself. That makes the first days thinner and jumpier than a normal perpetual, and the rules change once spot trading starts, so check the leverage, the funding cap and the price limits before you open a position.

What Binance launched

Predict.fun describes itself as the BNB-native prediction market, where users place predictions on future outcomes across politics, sports, crypto and more. Binance's notice describes the project the same way, as a prediction market on BNB Chain, and lists a total and maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 PREDICT.

What moved on day one

We read Binance's public futures data at 10:03 UTC, about an hour and fifty minutes after launch.

Most of the action came in the opening hour, when about 3.7 million USDT traded and the price ran from 1.62 to 1.7652, then fell to 1.412, a drop of about 20% from the high, before recovering to 1.58 by the end of the hour. The second hour was calmer, with 1.1 million USDT traded in a range from 1.5735 to 1.701.

At the mark price, the contract values the full supply of one billion PREDICT at about 1.61 billion USDT. That is our arithmetic, not a market capitalisation: there is no Binance spot market yet, and the circulating supply is not stated in the notice.

How a pre-market perpetual differs from a normal one

The price comes from the contract itself. A normal Binance perpetual tracks an index built from spot markets. During pre-market there is no reliable spot index, so the mark price is the average of the last 10 seconds of trades on PREDICTUSDT, recalculated every second, and Binance caps any change in the mark price at 1% per second. Binance also applies a stricter maximum order price during this phase.

Funding is almost flat at first. Because there is no premium index, Binance uses only its default interest rate of 0.03% a day, which works out to 0.005% per four-hour interval. On a 1,000 USDT position that is about 0.05 USDT per interval, our arithmetic. Once pre-market ends, the contract moves to the standard rules, where funding can reach plus or minus 2.00% per interval, or 20 USDT on the same position. Binance says it will announce separately if it moves pre-market settlements to every hour.

The switch is gradual. When the token lists on spot markets and Binance can build a stable index, the contract turns into a standard perpetual. During that transition, the mark price slides from the pre-market formula to the usual median of two index-based prices and the contract price. Open orders and positions are not cancelled, but your liquidation price is calculated from the mark price, so it can move while the formula changes.

Who else lists it

When we checked the public market APIs of OKX, Bitget and Bybit at 10:03 UTC, none of them listed a PREDICT perpetual. For now, Binance's pre-market contract is the main venue among the large exchanges, which also means its order book is the only price reference most traders see.

What to check before you trade it

  1. Leverage. At 5x, a move of a little under 20% against you wipes out the margin of an isolated position once fees and the maintenance requirement are included. The first hour's high-to-low range was about 20%.
  2. Order type. Use limit orders. The minimum notional is only 5 USDT, but on a thin book a market order can fill well away from the last price.
  3. Funding change. Note when spot listing happens. Funding moves from a fixed 0.005% to a cap of 2.00% per interval, and the direction depends on whether the contract trades above or below spot.
  4. Position size. Open interest was only about 0.72 million USDT. A few large orders can move this market, in both directions.

How to act on this

If you want to trade PREDICTUSDT, it sits in the USDⓈ-M futures section of Binance, and our Binance profile lists the futures fees and the app links. New users who sign up through our Binance link with code 11350287 get 25% of their Binance trading fees back, which matters on a contract you may trade in and out of several times a day. Readers interested in prediction markets more broadly can see how another venue handles them in our KuCoin Predictions explainer, and our Binance futures fee guide shows the cost per trade.

What we could not verify

  • PREDICT's circulating supply and its token unlock schedule: Binance's notice gives only total and maximum supply.
  • When PREDICT will list on Binance spot; Binance has not announced a date.
