USDC to Pesos: How to Convert USDC to Mexican or Argentine Pesos on Binance and Bitget (October 2026)

6 min

The short answer

To turn USDC into pesos, sell it on an exchange for your local currency and send the pesos to a bank account in your own name. In Mexico the cheapest route we found on Binance today is the USDC/MXN spot market (about 18.67 pesos per USDC on 25 October), followed by a SPEI withdrawal through Binance's Mexican payments entity Medá; in Argentina, where you need P2P, the best Binance ad paid about 1,634 pesos per USDC at the same time.

Before you sell, compare three numbers: the spot bid, the best P2P buyer, and the reference dollar rate. On Sunday the gap between the Mexican peso spot bid and the best P2P buyer was about 0.5%, which is roughly 100 pesos on every 1,000 USDC.

USDC to pesos today: the numbers

We read Binance's public order books and P2P ads at about 10:05 UTC on Sunday 25 October 2026 (04:05 in Mexico City, 07:05 in Buenos Aires). Prices move every second; use these as a sense of scale, not a quote.

ECB reference rate, 23 October (USD/MXN)18.7823 MXN18,782 MXN

Three things stand out. First, the spot bid for Mexican pesos beat the best P2P buyer by about 0.10 pesos per USDC. Second, both sat a little under the official reference rate, which is normal: the reference rate is a mid-market figure you cannot trade at. Third, the USDC/ARS spot book was thin (only 11 USDC on the best bid), so a large Argentine sale would have to walk down the book or go to P2P.

Our arithmetic for 1,000 USDC in Mexico: selling at the 18.669 spot bid gives 18,669 pesos; Binance's standard spot fee of 0.1% costs about 18.7 pesos, leaving about 18,650 pesos before any withdrawal fee shown on the SPEI preview screen. The best P2P ad would give 18,570 pesos, about 80 pesos less, and P2P fees vary by market.

Route 1 (Mexico): sell USDC on the USDC/MXN market, then withdraw by SPEI

This is the route for most Mexican users with a verified Binance account.

  1. Move your USDC to Binance. Deposit USDC on a network Binance supports for it, and check the network name on both sides before you send.
  2. Sell on the spot market. Open the USDC/MXN pair and place a sell order. A limit order at the bid avoids slippage on larger amounts.
  3. Open or link a Medá account. Medá is a Binance group entity authorised and supervised by Mexican financial authorities as an electronic payment funds institution (IFPE); it handles peso deposits and withdrawals for Binance. You register with your phone number and email, upload the front and back of an ID or passport, and complete a face check.
  4. Withdraw by SPEI. In the app go to More, then Withdraw Fiat, and choose Bank Transfer (SPEI). Binance asks you to complete CURP verification first.
  5. Use a CLABE in your own name. Binance accepts only a CLABE registered to the same person as the account. Enter the amount, preview the order, confirm with your security check, and allow 1 to 3 business days.

Route 2 (Mexico or Argentina): sell USDC on P2P

P2P is the main route in Argentina and a backup in Mexico when you want a specific bank or wallet. Binance and Bitget both run P2P markets with escrow: when an order opens, the crypto is locked by the exchange and released only when the seller confirms payment.

On Binance: move the USDC from your Spot account to your Funding account first. Open Trade, then P2P, then the Sell tab, choose USDC and your currency, pick a buyer, check their limits and payment methods, and enter the amount. Your payment method must be in the same name as your verified account. When the buyer marks the order paid, open your bank app and confirm the money is really there and that the sender's name matches the buyer on the order, then tap Confirm release and pass the 2FA or passkey check. Binance warns that fake payment confirmations are a known trick.

Payment methods we saw on Mexican peso ads today included BBVA, Banorte, Citibanamex, Santander Mexico, Mercado Pago, STP and plain bank transfer, with single-order limits such as 5,000 to 82,000 pesos. Argentine peso ads listed BBVA, Banco Galicia, Santander Argentina, BNA+, Brubank, Lemon Cash and Belo, among others.

On Bitget: Bitget P2P lists MXN, ARS, COP and CLP among its supported currencies. Go to Buy Crypto, then P2P Trading, add a payment method in P2P Management, select the Sell tab and your coin, filter by amount and payment method, and compare price, limits and the buyer's completion rate before you sell. Bitget also accepts only payment methods that match the name on your verified account.

Mistakes that cost money

  • Selling into the first ad you see. The fourth-best Mexican ad today paid 18.45 instead of 18.57 pesos, which is 120 pesos less per 1,000 USDC.
  • Releasing before the money lands. Check your own bank app, never a screenshot.
  • Using someone else's account. Third-party payments break the same-name rule on both exchanges and are the usual way frozen funds start.
  • Comparing against the wrong rate. Use the live spot bid or the reference rate, not the "buy" price of the P2P ads, which was 18.80 pesos for Mexican buyers today.

How to act on this

If you already trade on Binance, you can sell USDC to pesos there today and then return part of your future trading fees by signing up through our Binance link with code 11350287, which gives back 25% of Binance trading fees. If you prefer to compare P2P prices across two venues, Bitget's P2P market covers the same Latin American currencies; open it with code nexu888 and compare both venues on our Binance and Bitget pages.

What we could not verify

  • Binance's exact SPEI withdrawal fee: the official guide sends you to the preview screen, so check it there.
  • Whether Argentine users can withdraw pesos from Binance to a bank without P2P; we found no official Binance page for that.

Quick answers

What is 1 USDC in Mexican pesos today? About 18.67 pesos on Binance's USDC/MXN market at 10:05 UTC on 25 October 2026, against an ECB reference rate of 18.78 on 23 October.

How long does a SPEI withdrawal from Binance take? Binance says 1 to 3 business days, to a CLABE in your own name, after CURP verification.

Is P2P safe for selling USDC? The crypto sits in escrow until you release it. The risk is releasing before you have checked the payment in your own bank account.

Can I sell USDC for pesos on Bitget? Yes, through Bitget P2P, which lists MXN, ARS, COP and CLP. Your payment method must match your verified name.

Why is the P2P price lower than the official dollar rate? Buyers pay for the speed and the payment method; the reference rate is a mid-market figure, not a price anyone pays you.
