Bitget How to Deposit: Crypto, Bank Transfer and P2P Steps, Fees and Fixes (October 2026)

7 min

The short answer

To deposit on Bitget, open Deposit from your profile menu (website) or Add Funds, then Deposit Crypto (app), pick the coin, pick the same network your sending wallet uses, choose Spot or Funding as the destination, copy the address and send. Bitget charges no deposit fee; you only pay the blockchain network fee on the sending side. If you want to deposit cash instead, bank transfers work only after identity verification and only in supported currencies such as EUR by SEPA, USD by SWIFT, BRL by Pix and VND by bank transfer.

Before you start: three checks that prevent most lost deposits

Bitget's own help pages list the same causes again and again when a deposit goes missing. Check these three things before you press send and you avoid nearly all of them.

  1. Same coin, same network on both sides. If you send USDT over Ethereum, you select ERC-20 on Bitget. Bitget warns that an incorrect network "may result in permanent loss of funds".
  2. Tag or memo where the coin needs one. XRP needs a destination tag; EOS and XLM need a memo. Bitget's troubleshooting page also lists BNB among coins that may require one. A missing tag means the deposit is not credited automatically.
  3. Above the minimum and to the current address. Deposits below the coin's minimum are not credited, and Bitget may rotate deposit addresses, so always copy the address shown on the Deposit page today rather than one saved from last month.

How to deposit crypto on the Bitget website

  1. Log in, click the profile icon in the upper-right corner and choose Deposit.
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you want to send.
  3. Choose the network. It must match the network your sending wallet or exchange will use.
  4. Choose the destination account, Spot or Funding. The coins land there automatically once credited.
  5. Click Copy Address or scan the QR code. For XRP, EOS, XLM and similar coins, copy the tag or memo too.
  6. In your other wallet or exchange, paste the address, confirm the network once more and send.
  7. Wait for network confirmations. When they complete, the balance appears under Assets.

How to deposit crypto in the Bitget app

The mobile flow has the same seven steps with different button names. Open the app, tap Add Funds at the top of the home screen and then Deposit Crypto. Search for the coin, tap the matching network, choose Spot or Funding, tap Copy Address (or show the QR code to your other wallet), send from the other side, and watch the Assets tab for the credit.

Which account should you choose? Spot is the right choice if you plan to trade the coin straight away. Funding is the account Bitget uses for P2P and some earn products, so pick it if you deposited USDT to sell on P2P later. You can move funds between the two afterwards, so this choice is not permanent.

Deposit fees: what you actually pay

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

ZAR by bank transfer1.4%None listed

The crypto line is the one most readers need. Bitget's fee page is explicit that it "does not charge any fees for deposits"; the network fee goes to miners or validators, not to Bitget. That is why it pays to pick a cheap network on the sending side. Bitget gives USDT over TRC-20 versus ERC-20 as its own example of how much fees differ by network. Withdrawals are different: Bitget charges a withdrawal fee that varies by coin and network and shows it on the confirmation screen.

Depositing cash: bank transfer by country

Bank deposits need completed identity verification first. Our Bitget KYC level guide covers which documents each level asks for. Once verified, Bitget lists these fiat rails:

  • EUR: Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Ireland, Austria, Finland, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Malta, parts of Cyprus and Andorra.
  • USD: SWIFT, except from a list of excluded countries that includes Russia, Iran, North Korea, Ukraine, Venezuela and others.
  • BRL (Brazil), PLN (Poland), CZK, DKK, AUD, CAD, NOK, SEK, CHF, HUF, ZAR (South Africa) and VND (Vietnam).

The EUR rules trip people up most often, so here they are in Bitget's own terms. You must create a deposit order on Bitget first; a transfer without an order is not processed. The amount you send must exactly match the order, or the deposit fails. The name on the bank account must exactly match your Bitget account name, joint accounts are refused, and SWIFT transfers in EUR are generally not supported. SEPA deposits usually take one to three working days, and transfers after 5:00 PM local time or on weekends roll to the next working day. Withdrawing back to a bank works on the same rails; our Bitget bank withdrawal guide has the fees for that direction.

If your currency is not on the list, Bitget points you to card purchases, P2P trading or third-party payment services. P2P is the most common route in markets without a bank rail; our Bitget P2P guide walks through buying USDT from a merchant step by step.

My deposit has not arrived: what to do

Work through Bitget's own checklist in this order.

  1. Find the TxID in the sending platform's withdrawal history and paste it into a block explorer. If the confirmations are still below the number the Deposit page requires, the deposit is simply waiting.
  2. Check the tag or memo. If you forgot it on XRP, EOS or XLM, submit a request under Deposit, On-chain Deposit, with your UID, TxID and screenshots. Bitget says recovery typically takes about 10 business days and a handling fee may apply.
  3. Wrong coin or unsupported network? Use Refund of uncredited deposit on the right side of the website's Deposit page. You will need the network, the token contract address (from the block explorer, not the deposit address), the address you sent from and the TxID. Bitget returns the assets to that on-chain address.
  4. Still stuck? Contact support with the TxID, amount, date and time. Bitget says most replies arrive within 24 to 48 hours; complex recoveries can take up to 10 business days.

Two cases cannot be fixed: a transfer sent to an address that does not belong to Bitget, and any blockchain transaction once it is broadcast, because deposits cannot be cancelled or reversed.

Turning your deposit into lower trading costs

Once funds arrive, the next cost you control is the trading fee. Bitget's standard spot rate is 0.1% for both maker and taker, and futures are 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker, as listed on our Bitget exchange profile. If you are opening a new account before your first deposit, signing up with code nexu888 returns up to 60% of those trading fees, settled daily, which matters more than any deposit fee once you start trading regularly. The Bitget profile also compares those rates with OKX and Binance.

Quick answers

Does Bitget charge a deposit fee? No. Crypto deposits are free on Bitget's side; you pay only the network fee to send. SEPA Instant EUR, SWIFT USD, Pix BRL and VND bank deposits are also 0 on Bitget's side.

How long does a Bitget crypto deposit take? It is credited after the required network confirmations, so time depends on the coin and congestion. Track it with the TxID in a block explorer.

Do I need KYC to deposit on Bitget? Bitget requires identity verification for bank (fiat) deposits. Its crypto deposit guides do not list KYC as a step, but account features can still depend on your verification level.

Can I cancel a deposit? No. Once a blockchain transaction is sent it cannot be cancelled or reversed.

Why is my Bitget deposit address different? Bitget may generate new addresses periodically for security. Always use the address shown on the Deposit page at the time you send.

Which network is cheapest for USDT? Bitget's own fee page says TRC-20 is generally cheaper than ERC-20. Whatever you choose, select the same network on both sides.
