Bybit How to Deposit: Crypto, Fiat and P2P Step by Step, Plus Memo, Minimums and Missing Deposits (October 2026)
The short answer
To deposit on Bybit, open Assets, tap Deposit, pick the coin and the exact network, then send the coin from your other wallet or exchange to the address Bybit shows, adding the memo or tag if the coin needs one. The funds land in your Funding Account by default. If you want to deposit money instead of crypto, use Fiat Deposit for one of the currencies Bybit lists (for example BRL by PIX, EUR by SEPA, MXN by SPEI or VND by bank transfer) or buy USDT through P2P in any currency that has local sellers.

Three ways to put money into Bybit
Bybit's own guide "How to Make a Deposit on Bybit" splits funding into crypto deposits and buying crypto with fiat. In practice, most users pick one of three routes:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Route | What you send | Where it lands | Bybit fee | Needs KYC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| On-chain crypto deposit | Crypto from another wallet or exchange | Funding Account (default) | None of Bybit's deposit pages lists a deposit charge; you pay the sending side's network or withdrawal fee | Not for the deposit itself, but Travel Rule checks can apply |
| Fiat Deposit | Local money by bank transfer, PIX, SEPA, SPEI and similar | Funding Account as fiat balance | Depends on currency and method, shown on the deposit screen | Yes, Individual or Business verification |
| P2P Trading | Local money paid directly to a seller | Funding Account as crypto | No Bybit P2P fee for currencies not on its fee table | Yes, at least Standard verification |
If you already hold crypto somewhere else, the on-chain route is the fastest and cheapest. If you only have money in a bank, check whether your currency is on the Fiat Deposit list; if it is not, P2P is usually the way in. For buying USDT with a card, Apple Pay or a fiat balance, our separate guide on how to buy USDT on Bybit covers fees and limits in detail.
How to make an on-chain crypto deposit, step by step
These steps follow Bybit's help article "How to Make an On-Chain Crypto Deposit To Bybit", last updated 14 August 2026.
- Open the deposit page. On the website, hover over Assets in the top right corner of the Bybit home page, then click Deposit to open the deposit page.
- Choose the coin. Pick the coin you are about to send, for example USDT.
- Choose the chain. Select the same network the sending platform will use, for example ERC20 or Arbitrum for USDT. Bybit shows an information message first; after you acknowledge it, you see your deposit address and a QR code.
- Copy the address and, if shown, the memo or tag. Coins like XRP, EOS and anything on the TON chain share one Bybit address for all users, so the memo is what tells Bybit the money is yours.
- Go to the sending wallet or exchange. Paste the Bybit address as the withdrawal destination, choose the same network, and paste the memo into the field called Memo, Tag, Comment, Note or Remark. Bybit warns that a missing or wrong memo can lead to the loss of the assets.
- Check and send. Compare the first and last characters of the pasted address with the one on Bybit, especially if you scanned a QR code.
- Wait for confirmations. The coin is credited after the required number of blockchain confirmations for that chain. Each coin's confirmation count and minimum deposit are listed on Bybit's Crypto Deposit/Withdrawal Status page.
The deposit goes to your Funding Account by default. If you want deposits to go straight to the Unified Trading Account (where you trade spot and derivatives) or to Earn, change the default destination on the deposit page; otherwise move the funds later with an internal transfer between your Bybit accounts.
The four rules that prevent lost deposits
Use a supported coin on a supported chain. Bybit's deposit FAQ says that sending a coin, or using a blockchain, that is not listed on the deposit page may result in permanent loss. If it happens anyway, Bybit runs a recovery on a best-effort basis: the review takes 3 to 5 working days, a fixed handling fee in USDT is deducted from your Funding Account, and that fee is not refundable once charged.

Respect the minimum. Every coin and chain has a minimum deposit amount, shown on the Crypto Deposit/Withdrawal Status page. Bybit states that deposits below the minimum are not credited or refunded. This mostly bites when people send tiny test amounts.
Never skip the memo. For memo coins (XRP, EOS, XYM, RUNE, TON-chain tokens and others) the memo is mandatory. If you forgot it, Bybit has a separate recovery request for deposits with a wrong or missing tag.
Send by direct transfer, not through a smart contract. For ETH sent through an ERC-20 smart contract after 7 December 2023, Bybit says the deposit is credited automatically within 24 hours. For other coins, smart-contract deposits are not supported; deposits must use the normal direct transfer. Accidental smart-contract transfers need a retrieval request.
Why your Bybit deposit has not arrived
Bybit's FAQ lists the usual causes. Work through them in this order:
- Not enough confirmations yet. Look up the transaction hash on the chain's block explorer and compare the confirmation count with Bybit's requirement.
- Wrong or missing memo. File the tag/memo recovery request.
- Wrong account. If you changed the default destination, the coins may be sitting in your Unified Trading Account rather than the Funding Account.
- Daily deposit credit limit. Each chain has a daily credit limit. Anything above it shows as Pending Assets and is released when the limit refreshes at 00:00 UTC. Bybit's example: with a 100,000 USDT daily limit on Arbitrum and 300,000 USDT pending, the funds are released over three days.
- Travel Rule verification. Depending on local rules, some users must confirm who sent the deposit, whether it came from another exchange or a personal wallet such as MetaMask. Bybit sends an email when this is required, and the deposit waits until you complete the form.
You can see every deposit and its status under Funding Account, then History.
How to deposit fiat money on Bybit
Fiat Deposit puts local money into your Funding Account as a fiat balance, which you can later spend on crypto. According to Bybit's "How to Deposit Fiat Currencies on Bybit" page (updated 28 August 2026), identity verification is required, fees and processing times are shown when you choose a payment method, and subaccounts cannot receive fiat. The currencies and rails listed include:
Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Currency | Payment method (as listed by Bybit) |
|---|---|
| BRL | PIX (CPF/CNPJ must match your verified identity) |
| EUR | SEPA in certain EU countries, Zen.com, bank card |
| GBP | Faster Payments, Zen.com |
| USD | SWIFT for non-US banks, bank card, QuickPay in El Salvador |
| MXN | SPEI with a fixed or dynamic CLABE, capped at 10,000 MXN per day |
| ARS | Bank transfer with a fixed or dynamic CVU |
| COP, PEN, CRC, UYU, CLP, BOB | PSE, PagoEfectivo, SINPE, bank transfer, Khipu, QR payment |
| PLN | BLIK (up to 850 PLN per order and 5,000 PLN lifetime before extra review), SWIFT, Zen.com |
| VND | Bank transfer for users with Vietnamese KYC; first deposit up to 25,000,000 VND |
| AED | Bank transfer for accounts registered on or after 19 January 2026 |
Two practical points from the fiat FAQ: a fiat deposit order cannot be cancelled once placed, and one bank or payment account can only be linked to one Bybit account. Deposits through Openpayd carry a flat 11 USD fee per transaction.
When your currency is not on the list: P2P
If your currency is missing (Indonesian rupiah, Nigerian naira, Turkish lira and many others), the route is P2P Trading. You pick a seller's ad, pay them directly by the method on the ad, and the seller releases USDT to your Funding Account. Bybit's P2P fee page says currencies that are not on its fee table pay no Bybit transaction fee; separate tables exist for NGN, AZN, RUB, GHS and TJS. Your bank or e-wallet may still charge its own transfer fee, and the real cost is in the seller's price.
How to act on this
If you have not opened a Bybit account yet, decide the deposit route first, because it decides which verification you need. Most people either send USDT from another exchange on the network where that exchange charges the lowest withdrawal fee, or buy USDT through P2P. Bybit's sign-up page only accepts a referral code before you tap Sign Up, and it cannot be added later; if you want one, you can register on Bybit with code 48553. Our Bybit exchange profile lists the current trading fees and products once your money arrives.
Quick answers
Does Bybit charge a deposit fee for crypto? None of Bybit's on-chain deposit help pages lists a deposit charge. You pay the network or withdrawal fee of the wallet or exchange you send from. Fees appear only for recoveries, such as unsupported coins.
What is the minimum deposit on Bybit? It differs for each coin and chain and is shown on the Crypto Deposit/Withdrawal Status page. Anything below it is neither credited nor refunded.
Where does my deposit go? To the Funding Account by default. You can switch the default to the Unified Trading Account or Earn on the deposit page.
How long does a Bybit crypto deposit take? As long as the chain needs to reach Bybit's required confirmations. Delays usually come from a missing memo, the daily credit limit or a Travel Rule check.
Can I deposit rupiah, lira or naira directly? Not through Fiat Deposit; these currencies are not on Bybit's fiat list. Use P2P instead.
Can I deposit NFTs? No. Bybit does not support NFT deposits, and NFTs sent to a Bybit address cannot be recovered.
