Binance fees to buy bitcoin with reais: 0.10% on spot, R$0 by Pix and about R$1.00 on a R$1,000 order

7 min

The short answer

Buying bitcoin on Binance with reais costs 0.10% per trade for a regular account, and a personal Pix deposit is free, so a R$1,000 market order on BTC/BRL pays about R$1.00 in trading fees. Binance's fee page gives the 0.1% standard rate and its BRL transfer FAQ lists the free deposit.

At the 22:45 SGT order book on November 8, R$1,000 bought about 0.00233388 BTC after that fee. Paying the fee in BNB cuts it to about R$0.75. The fee you see is only part of the cost, because the price you fill at can matter more: the same order on a thinner BTC/BRL book left about R$4.66 less in bitcoin at that moment.

What each way of buying charges

Binance has four routes from reais to bitcoin, and they do not state their cost the same way.

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

RouteWhat Binance statesWhat to compare
Pix deposit, then Spot BTC/BRLR$0 deposit, 0.10% trading feeFinal BTC after the fee
Convert"No additional fees apply"; Binance quotes its own priceQuoted BTC against the Spot result
Buy Crypto with PixSteps published, no rate in the guide"Order details" before you confirm
Credit or debit cardFees shown on the payment screen; your bank may add onePayment details, plus your card statement

Binance's Convert guide calls the price an off-market quote that Binance provides for its own account, so "no additional fees" tells you nothing about whether the quote beats Spot. Our Convert and Spot comparison walks through the check: same amount, same direction, compare what you receive.

The Pix purchase guide publishes the steps and the 24-hour payment window without a fee figure, so the order screen is your only source for that route. The card guide says to check payment details and transaction fees before confirming. It adds that some banks treat crypto purchases as quasi-cash and charge extra, a cost Binance does not control.

P2P is a separate market where each ad sets its own price. Our Binance P2P guide for reais covers it.

Pix and TED deposits are both free for personal accounts, so the choice between them affects time and not money. Pix runs 24/7 and is normally instant, though the FAQ warns it can take a few hours when systems are unstable. TED runs Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00 and clears within one business day. An order must exist before you send: a Pix order expires after 24 hours and a TED order after 72 hours. A TED transfer for a different amount from the order is refunded within seven calendar days, which leaves that money idle for a week while the bitcoin price moves.

The math on R$1,000

We read Binance's public order book at 22:45 SGT on November 8 (14:45 UTC). BTC/BRL was bid at R$428,042 and offered at R$428,043, a gap of R$1.

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

StepResult
R$1,000 Pix depositR$1,000 available, no deposit fee
Market buy at R$428,0430.00233621 BTC
0.10% fee taken in BTC0.00000234 BTC, about R$1.00
You keep0.00233388 BTC

The fee on a resting limit order is the same 0.10% for a regular account, going by our partner registry's Binance spot row. A limit order can save the spread, and at R$1 wide there was almost no spread to save at that moment. It also may not fill.

BNB takes the rate to about 0.075%

Binance's BNB guide offers up to 25% off spot fees when you hold BNB in your Spot Account and switch on "Using BNB Deduction". On R$1,000 that is R$1.00 × 0.75 = R$0.75, charged in BNB, and you keep the full 0.00233621 BTC. If your BNB balance runs short, Binance charges the original fee.

The saving is R$0.25 per R$1,000. R$100,000 of purchases in a year would save about R$25, so buying BNB only for this is hard to justify.

Going through USDT costs you a second fee

Some buyers deposit reais, buy USDT, then buy bitcoin with USDT. That is two trades and two fees.

At the same moment USDT/BRL was offered at R$5.6309 and BTC/USDT at $76,032.90:

  • R$1,000 ÷ 5.6309 = 177.59 USDT, or 177.41 after 0.10%.
  • 177.41 ÷ 76,032.90 = 0.00233338 BTC, or 0.00233105 after 0.10%.

Compared with the 0.00233388 BTC from the direct pair, you end up with 0.00000283 BTC less, about R$1.21 at the direct price. The double fee causes most of that gap, and the rest comes from the two-step exchange rate. Use BTC/BRL directly unless you have a reason to hold USDT in between.

How the same R$1,000 compared on Bitget, OKX and Binance

Fee rates tell only part of this. We read all three BTC/BRL books within the same minute and filled R$1,000 down each one.

Article table: scroll horizontally, or focus the table area and use the arrow keys.

BinanceR$428,043R$428,0430.0023338825% = R$0.25 hourly (code 11350287)

Valued at Binance's offer, the Binance fill left about R$1.51 more bitcoin than OKX and about R$4.66 more than Bitget before rebates. Rebates narrow those gaps to about R$1.56 and R$4.31 in Binance's favor, because each return is a share of the R$1.00 fee and not of the amount you traded.

This is one snapshot on one pair, and thin books move quickly. Bitget's 60% carries more weight on deep pairs and on repeat trading, where the price gap shrinks and fees add up. Compare the Bitget page and the OKX page with the Binance page, then check the live offer on the pair you plan to trade. The code goes in at sign-up.

Larger orders

Binance's book held about R$1.65 million of offers across the 500 levels we read. A R$10,000 market order would have averaged R$428,089 and a R$100,000 order R$428,121, about R$78 per bitcoin above the best offer, or 0.018%. At that size the 0.10% fee, R$100, is still far bigger than the price impact of about R$18.

OKX's book held about R$175,000 of offers in the 100 levels we read, and a R$100,000 order would have averaged R$433,392 there.

Limits may stop you before depth does. The BRL FAQ lists US$10,000 a month for level 1 and level 2 personal accounts, about R$50,000 by Binance's own conversion, and US$20,000 per semester at level 1. Level 3 is set case by case. Those limits cover deposits, withdrawals, buys and sells combined.

What you pay after buying

Selling and cashing out adds costs that a buy-side comparison misses:

  • Selling back to reais pays another 0.10% on Spot.
  • A personal Pix withdrawal costs R$3.50 and corporate accounts pay nothing, according to the BRL FAQ. On R$1,000 that is 0.35%, more than three times the trading fee.
  • Binance's withdrawal guide says orders are processed in banking hours and the receiving account must be in your name.
  • Moving BTC to your own wallet costs a network fee that Binance adjusts with chain conditions. The withdrawal screen shows the current figure.

Binance is still reopening withdrawals after the October 29 theft. In our 18:51 SGT read of its coin list, BTC showed open routes on Bitcoin, BSC and Ethereum, while the SegWit and Lightning labels were closed. Check your route before you buy if you plan to move the coins out the same day.

How to buy at the lowest stated cost

  1. Complete identity verification and register your CPF. Binance's Pix deposit guide accepts only accounts linked to your own CPF, in the same name.
  2. Create the deposit order first, using Add Funds and then Deposit BRL, and pay by Pix within 24 hours.
  3. If you hold BNB, switch on Using BNB Deduction.
  4. Open Spot, choose BTC/BRL, enter the amount and read the estimated fee.
  5. Open Convert for the same amount and compare the BTC you would receive.
  6. Pick the larger figure and confirm the fee in your trade history.

What we could not verify

We could not open Binance's live fee table at binance.com/en/fee/trading from a script, so we rely on its fee FAQ and our registry's reading dated November 7. Promotional rates on BRL pairs, if any, would show on your account's Trading Fees page. Binance publishes no spread or rate for Buy Crypto with Pix in its guide, and we placed no live orders. We also did not confirm how a BNB-paid fee interacts with the rebate share, so we left that sum out.
