OKX CT and SOXL Trade-to-Earn: How to Join Before 22 October, What 5,000 USDT of Volume Gets You and What It Costs

6 min

The short answer

To join OKX's CT Trade-to-Earn, open the campaign page, click "Join Now" until the button reads "Enrolled", then trade the CT-USDT or SOXL-USDT USDT-margined perpetual contract before the campaign closes at 10:00 UTC on October 22, 2026 (18:00 Singapore time). You need a combined 5,000 USDT of notional volume across the two contracts to qualify, and the pool of 500,000 CT is shared in proportion to each person's weighted volume, with a cap of 2,500 CT per user. Volume traded before you enroll does not count. At the CT price OKX showed on October 20 (about $0.311), the whole pool is worth roughly $155,500 and the per-user cap roughly $777, so the reward is real but small next to the price risk of a 20x perpetual. Treat it as a fee-sized bonus on trading you already planned, not as a reason to open a position.

What OKX published

The reward formula is plain: your reward equals your effective volume divided by the total effective volume of all eligible users, multiplied by 500,000 CT. Effective volume is your CT-USDT notional times 1.1 plus your SOXL-USDT notional times 1.0. So a dollar of CT volume counts 10% more than a dollar of SOXL volume. OKX also says volume only counts after successful enrollment, that zero-fee and negative-fee volume is excluded, and that self-matched, wash or otherwise abnormal trades are not counted.

CT is the token of Concrete, which OKX describes as an on-chain asset management platform. OKX listed the CT-USDT perpetual on September 30, 2026, at up to 20x leverage with a 4-hour funding interval. SOXL is a leveraged semiconductor ETF; OKX's SOXL-USDT perpetual has been live since May 19, 2026 and also allows up to 20x.

How to join, step by step

  1. Sign in to OKX and open the campaign page from the announcement. If you do not see "Join Now", check the eligibility clause in OKX's risk and compliance disclosure, because some countries and regions are excluded.
  2. Click "Join Now". Do not move on until the button changes to "Enrolled". OKX states that a participation without that status is void.
  3. Fund the USDT-margined futures account. The campaign is on perpetuals, so spot CT trades do not count.
  4. Trade CT-USDT or SOXL-USDT. Opening and closing executions can both count, subject to OKX's final backend record.
  5. Watch the 5,000 USDT combined threshold. Below it, you get nothing, however much you trade.

A practical point: the minimum counts notional, not margin. At 20x, 5,000 USDT of notional needs only 250 USDT of margin, but the price risk is on the full 5,000 USDT.

What the reward is worth against what the trade can cost

There are two costs, and they are very different in size.

Fees are small. NexuAlpha's partner data lists OKX perpetual fees of 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker for the standard tier (checked October 10; stock-linked contracts can differ, so read the fee shown on the contract page). Our arithmetic: 5,000 USDT of volume costs about 2.50 USDT as a taker or 1.00 USDT as a maker. Since zero-fee volume does not count, a maker rebate tier that charges nothing may not qualify.

Price risk is not small. On October 20 the SOXL-USDT perpetual was trading around $95.73, down 5.44% over 24 hours, from $101.24. A 2,500 USDT long held through that move would have lost about 136 USDT, which is more than 50 times the taker fee. CT moved the other way, up 1.87% to $0.311, but with an open interest of only about $4.2 million on OKX, it can gap. If the reward for a 5,000 USDT trading day is a few CT, a normal price swing will be larger than the reward.

The funding rate is a third line item. The CT-USDT perpetual's current-period funding rate on OKX was about -0.16% on October 20, which means shorts pay longs for that interval; the rate changes each period, and the listing notice says settlement moves to hourly if it hits the cap. A SOXL funding rate of 0 at the time we checked reflects a calm period, not a guarantee.

How much can you realistically earn?

Nobody can compute your reward in advance, because the denominator, total effective volume, is only known when the campaign ends. What you can do is size the maximum: 2,500 CT is 0.5% of the 500,000 CT pool, so to earn the cap you need 0.5% of all effective volume. For illustration only: if all users together traded 100 million USDT of effective volume, 0.5% would be 500,000 USDT of your own effective volume. For comparison, OKX's CT-USDT perpetual traded roughly 446 million CT in the 24 hours before we checked, about $139 million at $0.311 (our arithmetic), and SOXL traded about 4.4 million shares, around $420 million. Campaign volume will be a share of that, but the point is that "minimum 5,000 USDT" is the entry fee, not the amount that earns the cap.

The previous CT campaign shows how OKX is shrinking the offer. The September 30 to October 7 version shared 1,000,000 CT on spot CT/USDT, required 4,000 USDT of volume, capped users at 5,000 CT and added early-bird and trading-day multipliers. This one halves the pool and the cap, moves to perpetuals, and drops the multipliers apart from the 1.1x on CT.

Trade-offs

The honest comparison is between earning a small token reward and the possibility of losing more than that to price movement. A person who already trades SOXL or CT perpetuals loses nothing by enrolling first. A person who has never traded a leveraged ETF perpetual should not start because of a bonus. Eligibility is a second filter: because OKX can exclude users by country and by verification information, check the clause before moving funds. Also remember the rewards are in CT, so what they are worth depends on CT's price when you sell.

How to act on this

If you already trade on OKX, enroll first, then place the trades you were going to make anyway and keep position size small enough to survive a 5% move in SOXL. If you do not have an account yet, you can sign up through NexuAlpha's OKX profile with code nexu888, which adds a fee rebate on your trading; the fee comparison shows how OKX's costs line up against other venues. Check the live funding rates before holding any perpetual overnight, and see the liquidations board for how fast leveraged ETF perpetuals have been flushed recently. The activities page lists the other open exchange campaigns, and the tokenized stocks hub explains the difference between holding a stock token and trading a stock-linked perpetual.

What we could not verify

We could not see the campaign's live leaderboard or the total effective volume, so we cannot say what one unit of volume is worth today. The list of excluded countries sits in OKX's compliance disclosure and was not part of the campaign text we read. Whether stock-linked contracts carry the same fees as the crypto contracts should be checked on the contract page.
